  1. Sure, in that case. I use the same header template in all code I create, and for some reason the BIS supplied AAN function wasn't adequate. I don't recall why as it was long ago, but I needed to do something more with it I think (not looking over the code to see). So yep, in that case I used code from inside Bohemia's internal functions.. but if you really want to look around you'll see I left the original author credit everywhere.. in fact in a lot of scripts I've totally rewritten them but left the original author's name. And still, my point from before stands all the same.

  5. Well, I did afteral come up with every single significant feature on every Life server. People forget that before Asylum, there was no player housing, no gangs, not even persitent characters. Before us it was the Life design to only save your money, not even your clothing or position. Every single thing of note started here.
  6. The money cap isn't really a problem and does work as intended. That said I think the prestige system is due for a major overhaul in how it functions.
  7. I completely rewrote the way time passes today but never tested it. How's the day to night ratio, and the lightness of night time?

  9. Having more armor doesn't make it more militaristic, it adds a bit of survivability. Adding helmets is cosmetic, people who cared have had access to them for over a year. I've planned on adding RPGs since I saw they were in Apex. Hand grenades are the common tool as before. RPGs are an option which could cost you 50k for nothing as it's very easy to miss. Their cost combined with dumb accuracy makes them balanced.
  10. Yep, we know people CAN afford the RPG, but rockets are so expensive that people may not always consider them to be worth the cost. They're going to be more of a special case tool.

  12. You make some valid points in the OP, but as I've said many times all over the place, the situation with CSAT rewards is not working as intended. I would never, ever introduce a paid feature which would give advantage. I have not done that in the past years and I'm not going to start. What you have now is a broken and unintended implementation which will be fixed tomorrow when I'm in the office. Communication is a big one and something we're working on, but I do think it's improving. We've made a lot of alterations based on feedback but some things won't make it in if it conflicts with our design.

  15. No, twice we were flagged over a miscommunication, not for actual breaking off rules. The market isn't for Asylum, it's for a way to get back from keys that didn't go your way and you're getting those from other players.

  17. You're right, they're priced appropriately given their armor, but the system is not working fully as intended now and will be fixed with a hotfix tomorrow. Given the focus of Asylum for almost 2 years now I would hope you guys would see I'm not going to implement p2w features.
  18. The market systems' not ready yet, and will be my current focus! You'll have it pretty soon, but it's a big complex system when you're dealing with real money for other people.
  19. There is literally no better DDos protection available than that which we have already. People just don't realize the volume of DDoS we have to put up with. We can get over 30 attacks in a single day, and haven't gone a day without one in years. The fact you're able to play at all is almost amazing given what hits us.
  20. There are no real advantages to be had. The system exists for cosmetics. The helmets all have the same armor value as other helmets any civilian can get already, and there's even another for civilians with Apex's release (skate helmet). As we've said a dozen times now, you won't be able to wear the heaviest vest with CSAT clothing, which will bring armor levels in sync. We've done testing in this to ensure it's fair.
  21. If you haven't relogged since the fix I posted about previously, your rewards were not added to your account because your keys were not consumed. That's sort of a double-edged sword. You didn't get the reward, but you didn't lose a key either. If this happened to you (we can see who had the issue) and you got an item you really wanted, PM me and I can compensate you that reward if you got a screenshot.
  22. If you've purchased keys and had issues with not getting items you won, or not being able to buy things you won, relog and your keys will come back. It's been fixed.
