The problem is that cops sometimes get petty when they cant catch a bounty (usually a high bounty) and pardon it to spite the player for escaping. Not always but there have been a few cases of this happening.

Youre making it sound like admins are using gear that no one else is. scripted gear doesnt make someone shoot straighter or have more armor. I understand concerns of overusing explosives but i think youre reaching past that. A good portion of admins are far from godlike in their skill.

Removing debug console is tricky because then you remove the ability to do events and on top of that it limits in game support. There are a large amount of scripts that admins can use in game at any given time to assist players and to search with/deal with scripters and cheaters. You couldn't add a button for every event and every useful script because every admin has different tools they use for various situations. In my opinion it is similar to someone who prepares your food at a restaurant. You go there and order some food, they could legit be having a bad day and there is a chance that they dont prepare it properly or put way too much salt in it etc. Is it really feasible for us as a consumer to stand there and watch our food be made? At some point you have to put part of your trust into the system and hope that it takes care of itself. Obviously accountability is required and I hope that if sufficient evidence is brought to light that it would be handled properly. In the end it is a game and it is our responsibility as admins to try and provide the best possible experience for players. Through bans and comps and answering questions and doing events etc we strive to provide that better experience. The community needs to trust the system (not blindly) and realize that this is all meant to be for fun. This is meant to be our break from what is going on in life and a chance to escape and release from any problems that we may be facing at home, school, work etc. Enjoy it!

I will only speak for myself on this. If I am playing and someone breaks a rule in front of my then I will put a ban in. A violation such as VDM/CL is easy to understand without reviewing video. For exploits and RDM I always review the shadow-play video prior to taking action and I only take action after i review the footage. People who play cop with me know this because I spend a lot of cop time semi afk trying to watch videos. It has been a good habit because on occasion I will not put the ban in because of an initiation I didnt catch etc. This is something that all admins really should be doing to prevent that "frustration/payback" ban. sometimes there are annoying situations where you get overwhelmed and aren't in the best state of mind. In that instance they really should be running shadow-play to make sure they are correct before addressing the problem. Admins will always have faults because we are people and have emotional responses to situations just like every player. The most important thing is to make sure admins are reflecting on their own decisions to make sure they are upholding the fair spirit of game play for everyone. Whether this is wrongful bans or the huge problem of overusing explosive devices in game. Right now I agree that a lot of admins use too many explosives and it even gets under my skin when I play in that environment. Spawning in gear to me has been OK so long as it is at your house or rebel vendor with no combat. I think rules and numbers are challenging to address when it comes to preventing abuse. The most important thing is for admins to look at their usage of grenades and speed bombs/vests. Not only that but compare it to how receptive the players are to the situations you've used them in. If you just used 3 speedbombs and i search you to find 4 RPGs and 6 grenades then you are doing too much. Now your friend comes to suicide vest me while you're in custody. That is a shitty experience for players and admins themselves need to realize that. I think we are past Jin level (30+ grenades at prison break) but there is still room for improvement and there always will be. I do want to thank everyone for providing feedback about this situation in a mature manner.

What is your typical ping like on the Asylum servers? I know the cap was adjusted slightly to help adjust for people all the way across the world!

Any type of social media or public forums will typically be a bad place when you're in a bad place. If you play a ton of Asylum then maybe take some time for yourself especially if you're dealing with something personal. Asylum will be here when you get back... well the odds drop drastically after the elections on November 8th but you have a few days until then.

Make sure you are in a civilian slot, try joining various asylum servers as it can be a one time bug. I would wait a few minutes when logging in for the first time just in case.

I would just like a mailbox for us to deposit money into after a comp is approved. The player has 30days or whatever to claim the money or it vanishes. Anything would be better than the current system, its the same thing as someone waiting for an interview for the APD. You have players sitting in the applicants or comp channels just being ignored. Rip in chicken nuggets. Its a super flawed and outdated system that is no good for player experience. One day it could change though..That day is not today though.

Usually if it is a relevant discussion I dont mind a thread being commented on after a long period of time. Some threads get locked or moved to the graveyard when they are necro posted. It really just depends and typically isn't a huge deal. Personally I wont do anything unless I feel like the thread will cause a problem or a flame war etc.

That's fine and dandy, I obviously know that is the case but it doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

We could just keep inventory until the person is executed/respawns. I really didn't see a large enough downside to bring back the annoying mechanic of dropping Y immediately on death.
