I think most people that play here are aware its not real life, but you are role playing as a real life police officer or civilian?
I'm sure in real life the officer would have stood behind his vehicle with guns on the murderer/armed robber at all times.
You can rp with the cop when you are safely in handcuffs.
Plus the APD have a talk first shoot second procedure, which is clearly demonstrated in your video in multiple occasions. (muting TS/lowering the music may have helped at your end)
