  4. I'll see tonight when I play. Remember, we made a change yesterday - not just to VON, but to some networking setup for the servers as well. For most people it's been better, so perhaps there are some 1 off cases where it is not. What I can tell you is that the server FPS (yes, the server itself registers and FPS setting) is up about 20 - which is massive. Things should be working better, but we always are tweaking stuff to get the most that we can.

  9. We made a change to try to help the desync/VON. Let me know how it feels now. S1 Kavala was responsive, I could hear everyone, and there was no desync. I have to say it was freaky...

  13. Delete the DLLs in your Arma folder. It was happening to me earlier today as well.
  14. You guys are mixing up what we are talking about. Gear gets caught by the cleanup script the first time, but Y inventory lasts at least 5 minutes.

  19. As the original APD boonie hat wearer, I do love having that in game. I remember that dry, summer sun beating down on my beret covered head and thinking "man, this is awful." Perhaps we will consider adding something else in, but this is really something you need to get the Captains on board with so that they come to the CM's with a request. They decide what is in/out of uniform - so build the consensus there first!
  20. Fog should be all but removed now. The syncing of other weather should also be enabled again, so if it's raining on Lemnos, expect rain on Asylum etc. I'm fairly certain the admins use things called a "garage" or vehicle spawn to bring in .50 cals. Admins do not just spawn in vehicles to "fuck up (y)our feds". I like the cover of night as well Shalobee, but let's be real - everyone used NVGs (except those people who "light cheated" out of it with Gamma goggles), so what is the real point of having full night? I believe that eventually we will tweak the cycle to where you have a touch o' darkness on each side, but we've got to tweak that based on server reset cycle etc. We may play with it a bit more this week.

  22. The gearing issue is an enhancement request and not a bug. I'll handle those separately. The not being able to run, can you expand on that for me?

  24. I play a lot on the servers, but I don't pretend to know every bug that is an annoyance for you the players. Help me start a list so that we can knock some of the more annoying ones out please. I don't intend for this to be a place to complain about things, simply a spot that we can start a running tally of the bugs so that I can give Paratus the most up to date list possible for prioritization. I will update the initial post to list bugs, so please check there first to make sure we don't duplicate them as we go down the list. Thanks, Bamf List o' bugs At times, players appear to lose their gear when they exit a vehicle. Those players still see gear on themselves, but other players do not see the gear. This leads to unexpected ballistics results in the game. Only for the APD, when syncs happen the fire mode is automatically toggled back to single fire. After the patch that keeps you from dying at 0 food/water, once you go to 0 eating and/or drinking do not reset your rate of movement while on foot in the game. Fresh spawn players are unable to buy a slash bandolier at the clothing store with the message "Not enough space". When a vehicle and crates) contains illegal contraband and the APD searches the vehicle or crate, all virtual items in the vehicle trunk or crate inventory are removed instead of just the illegal items. Houses listed on the housing market do not always pay the seller when sold if the seller is offline. SWAT has no way to enter the Commander seat of a Strider, so you only have 3 seats instead of 4 in that vehicle. Medics are unable to pull dead players from vehicles. Civilian offroads are spawning with light bars. Some houses will not allow the expected number of crates/aging barrels to be placed inside (1.2M long stone houses for one). Apply painkillers to jailed citizens for the sake of mercy. If a vehicle saves through a restart and then impounded by a cop, most of the times it will be gone out of your garage. (need to verify) PPE is lost when going through a checkpoing and speeding. Possession of illegal firearms is now showing as $3500 instead of it's original value. Entering or exiting a vehicle disconnects an APD officer from their drone. Someone being revived by two people will end up on debug island instead of being revived. Jury duty sometimes binds you in place instead of allowing you to move around. When a vehicle despawns near bank it doesn't go back to the owners garage (unconfirmed?) When you die and respawn you can't reconnect to your drone for 2-10 mins. (On the UAV terminal there will be an X on the drone like someone else is already connected to it.) Fix "the crack" at the prison. Restrained cops can not be pulled from a vehicle. When UC cops are revived, their virtual inventory goes back to the default UC loadout instead of what they actually had on their character.
  25. The issue isn't that we don't want more players per server - we actually would love that. The problem is that the Arma 3 server code is really, really bad and outdated. The server.exe is a 32 bit process which limits the amount of RAM you can use to run the server. Also, the way the code is written if you unlock a car in Kavala, then my player gets to know about it wherever I might be on the map. So if I'm in Sofia, I get to know about that car unlock - which is inefficient as can be. Most games would refer to this as a "network bubble". Arma does not have a network bubble. The people who are banned long term here are not done at random. They have scripted, duped (multiple times), chosen to RDM/VDM excessively, etc. We believe in second chances here at the Asylum, but like the old adage says: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. (or the more popular - "Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.") Those that have been excluded from the community should know full well why that has happened to them.
