  1. Glad you got it fixed! I had a similar problem when upgrading my PC a few weeks ago where I thought my Graphics Card had gone bust. Turns out I just didn't put the DVI into the card, and in fairness it was like 3am. But this picture summed out how I felt afterward:
  2. I tried for the first, I was well off. But at least I've got this nice star going for me.
  3. It took so long to make, I'm glad someone appreciates it.
  4. One of the most beautiful Arma deaths I've ever seen.
  5. You can get check all of the prices for these items here (Saves going all the way up to rebel, and potentially getting shot): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e8v5dg-qO3HWOuk6_-yslkGTygpISrq9ibDfiIRI9Dc/edit#gid=97098089 Rebel talents: Rebel: Allows you to buy rebel license. (Grenades and Speed Bombs) Guerilla: Able to buy and use ghillie suits Marksman: 7.62 rifles and ammo Weapon Technician: Vehicle ammunition reloading Terrorist: Suicide vests
  6. And yes, the volume has been lowered. You will find out why
  7. Is there something that could be done regarding sports hatches in the keychain menu of the phone? Cannot see the distance of the vehicle because the vehicle name is so large. Unless this has been fixed, I've not checked for a long time (SUV Hype).
  8. Your CPU will do you for another year, two at most. It does not bottleneck your 970, which is the main thing. Start putting money away each month for the next year, and this time next year you'll be able to get a new CPU and Mobo no problem.
  9. Good choice, I believe a clean installation of Arma is the best course of action for now. Good luck with resolving your problem! If you need any help feel free to drop another reply, or send a private message.
  10. Not that it should make any big difference, but it may be a case of a conflicting keybind. I personally use left windows key for my earplugs, I'd suggest you try the same and see if you still have the issue.
  11. What key are you using for your earplugs (Custom keybind 10)?
  12. And your physical memory size (RAM)? Did you remove your previous drivers using DDU? And are your current drivers up to date? My suggestion is to remove all of your launch prefs, and try to put your Arma 3 back to how it would be after a fresh install. From there, you should check your FPS across multiple servers, start with checking how many frames you achieve in the virtual arsenal [Arma 3 main menu > Learn > Virtual Arsenal]
  13. Can you insert the earplugs outside of the vehicle?
  14. The direct download link doesn't actually download it, but this does: https://github.com/fred41/tbbmalloc_arma/blob/master/binary/tbbmalloc.dll?raw=true
  15. This is a good first place to start. Ensure that your power supply is at least 500+W, since the GTX 970 alone needs 145W (without OC). A common issue that can occur is a bottleneck, but your 8320 shouldn't bottleneck the 970. Go ahead and throw us a reply with all of your system specifications, and maybe we'll be able to find something more concrete to go with. Also have a look into this optimization guide, it may help. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385577681 CPUs, perhaps! But my R9 390 disagrees!
  16. As a rule, it's always best to set maxMem to half of your RAM. There should be no serious consequence of not following this rule, but most optimization related guides recommend half. 2GB RAM = -maxMem=1024 4GB RAM = -maxMem=2048 8GB RAM = -maxMem=4096 16GB RAM = -maxMem=8192 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385577681 The above link is a good guide for optimizing Arma 3, works like a charm for myself. Results may differ for others, though.
  17. "This is way above my paygrade."
  18. That was quite something. I loved your side stepping to the left when you realised what was about to happen.
