Penguin_
So I recently had an update for Arma and I had an error pop up saying "(Disk write error)" I looked it up and found some videos and walkthroughs on how to fix it but everything I searched through I would always see comments saying it didn't work for anyone. I did try some but nothing worked so far. Some will say to unlock something but I don't have that issue. I tried uninstalling arma and reinstalling but I think it just made it worse. If any of you can help find a solution to this that would be greatly appreciated. Here is a gyazo of the error message Edited April 12, 2018 by Penguin_ Link to comment

Kev 23
Try re installing steam, going to take a while to download everything again but it’s quicker then 4 months^^ Edited April 6, 2018 by Kevingreen23 Link to comment
Twinkie
If not you can just go into your files and del everything but your profiles. I would personally keep them so you don't have to re do all that shit. Link to comment

Twinkie
A fresh install of good old windows is a healthy thing to do for your system once in a while if shit don't run right. Link to comment

Roice
Try installing arma to a different drive If possible. If that solves it, then format the drive this error was occurring on. Link to comment
Snow-
Just now, Penguin_ said: I have Bitlocker and its already off Could still be conflicting with the files. Would recommend uninstalling it to test before doing anything more drastic like reinstalling Arma 3 again or formatting your drive. If the drive does normal read/writes with other files then I would assume it's a software problem rather than a hardware. Also disable antivirus software if you use one. Penguin_
To solve this issue I had to uninstall and delete every arma folder I could find and reinstall arma from there. If you try to reinstall the game itself after just uninstalling through steam it will not work. Link to comment
