Analysis of Running Oil on Altis

The purpose of this analysis is to calculate the average amount of money you'll make while running oil on Altis. This is not perfect but the averages will be calculated based on 10 runs.

Methodology:

-Use a RHIB for each run (Costs $5,000 to buy or $100 to pull out of a garage) because it is the fastest boat. *Note* To drive the RHIB you need to own the Tanoa DLC.

-Started after a Server Restart

-Use a tent to store the oil and rubber between each run (tents will disappear between restarts).

-Have the talents "Major Miner, Brawny, and Oil Runner" activated.

-Have the "Oil Processing License".

-Did not have Oil Cartel (increase the amount of rubber from each run if you do have Oil Cartel).

-Taxes were at 0% when rubber and oil were finally sold.

Time to purchase Supplies/Gear in Athira and then drive to the boat shop in a Hatchback Sport:

Time 1: 2:50 (Someone attempted to rob me as I drove out of Athira)

Time 2: 4:00 (I crashed once but I had a tool kit)

Time 3: 2:47 (Flawless)

Average: 3:21

Runs

Run #1: (Started at the boat shop and had already purchased a Carryall backpack, NVGs, and a Tent)

Time: 8:26 (I started at boat shop drove to oil rig and then to oil processing, as well I placed my tent to store the oil and rubber)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 2 Rubber

Run #2: (Started at Oil Processing with all gear and my RHIB)

Time: 7:42 (The ladder is starting to trigger me at oil rig)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 2 Rubber

Run #3: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 7:01 (Got on the ladder fast finally)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 4 Rubber

Run #4: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 7:14 (Meh)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 4 Rubber

Run #5: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 7:46

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 4 Rubber

Run #6: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 7:24 (Had to buy another boat cause my first RHIB drifted away)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 2 Rubber

Run #7: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 7:43 (RHIB drifted away again)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 2 Rubber

Run #8: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 6:59 (RECORD)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 3 Rubber

Run #9: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 6:49 (NEW RECORD)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 3 Rubber

Run #10: (Reference Run #2 for starting conditions)

Time: 7:37 (RHIB got stuck under the dock, and I had to pull another one)

Product: 20 Processed Oil and 2 Rubber

Time to transport and sell all products in Athira with a Boxtruck:

Time 1: 7:27 (Crashed once and had to repair with a toolkit)

Time 2: 7:12 (RECORD)

Time 3: 7:41 (Took the main road to Athira)

Average: 7:26.4

Totals: (After 10 runs of oil)

Total Products: 200 Processed Oil and 28 Rubber

Total Time spent on ten runs: 74:41

Total Time spent (on average) driving to get gear and to sell products: 10:47.66

Total Time spent on ten runs + getting gear (average)+ transportation (average): 85:28.66

Total for Oil: $78,000 (200*390)

Total for Rubber: $27,300 (28*975)

Grand Total of sales: $105,300

Averages:

Average Time to purchase Supplies/Gear in Athira and then drive to the boat shop in a Hatchback Sport: 3:21

Average Time to transport and sell all products in Athira with a Boxtruck: 7:26.4

Average Time per run:

Average Time for one tun + transportation time + selling:

Average product from one run: 20 Processed Oil and 3 Rubber

Average yield from one run: $10,530

Average yield per minute for ten runs (including transportation time): $1,231

Average yield per second for ten runs (including transportation time): $20.53

Conclusion:

Running Oil is a great legal way to make money if you do many runs in a row. Individual runs' profits will be negated due to the time spend gathering supplies and selling, but if you do many runs in a row the time spend gathering gear and selling is more effective. Using the resources gained to build vehicles is recommended.

Conditions to get better yields:

-Have oil cartel to get more rubber per run

-Have taxes at 20% when selling

This was my first and last analysis as I am now permanently banned. Sorry.

There are some errors with the averages. Still working on it right now. I want to add I video of exactly how I did things so there is a good tutorial to follow these numbers.
