Well, I believe one of the reasons you can get some games for free is because it generates traffic to their website. The more traffic it generates, the more people will - hopefully - look around, buy games (on sale or not) and eventually make a donation or a contribution.

Really? I haven't got them ever since Arma 3 was last updated. All I got were server crashes so far.

Although this topic is not related to server performance, have you guys figured what's been causing lag, yellow chains and server crashes recently? Or is it something you guys are still looking into? As a side note:

I recommend the Arctis line too, just not the wireless version. I'd go with the Arctis 5. I have the Arctis 5, which is not wired (avoids all the pain with battery and possible audio quality issues). Yes. It's cool when you first try it. I personally like JSRS explosions a lot more than vanilla ones. The downside is with guns. Since you're used to Arma 3 sounds, you can easily recognize what gun someone is using. With JSRS, you have to learn everything from scratch, so it can be a bit difficult.

I remember seeing a post from @Gnashes that if you are inside an illegal area, you take the risk of being killed at any time from anyone at any distance. The opposite doesn't happen. You cannot snipe people who are outside illegal areas just because you're in an illegal area yourself.

Whoever has been playing on server 1 knows the server has been taking shit after the update - and I've heard S4 is in the same shape. At some point, the wanted list will take a while to load, cars will take a huge time to show up on the garage list and suddenly the server is gonna crash, giving people yellow chains and kicking them off right after. But one thing I noticed is we're not getting kicked off by BattlEye anymore. Could this whole situation be related to server performance then? @bamf @Gnashes
