  1. personally this is a really great idea i think we should also have more pictures of big-tiddied women on the side of ifrits too. i dont see how this can go wrong. great idea man!!!!

  2. Why does an "Assassin Shop" sell only APD equipment? Does the APD laundromat moonlight as a contraband dealer? Feels like you just want a shop to get easy cop gear so you can run around Kavala LARPing as Police.

I like the idea, I just don't know why an "Assassin" Shop sells high-caliber downing rounds and cop vests.

  3. The entire point of initiation is that you can't surprise attack people in non-pvp zones. You should always be given a chance to comply and roleplay before combat starts, especially in cities.

You are talking about new players, do you want new players to think that simply because they choose to RP as a criminal they are now KOS and not given the same courtesy as every other player in non-pvp zones?

Add a $30,000 drill for cops and civs that can’t be stored, unlocks the whole house for 10 minutes. Illegal for rebels, legal for bounty hunters.

As for how often cadets and constables read it. I’d hope you read it more.

Yeah, this comment wasn't something that warranted response, I wasn't saying we're better since we read it more. I was simply saying that I'm sure a ton of constables have seen these outrageously outdated sections of the handbook or have noticed that there are policies absent from the handbook.

  6. I really enjoy this post.

Every Cadet and Constable knows how out-dated the handbook is. I would argue that most constables probably read it on a more often basis then the captains themselves, as constables are charged with educating the cadets in our sacred ways (such as asking them questions during patrol, etc). I'm sure everyone here has seen hilarious relics on a bygone era written in stone, such as the provision that allows you to lethal a suspect within a minute of the server's restart. Could you imagine if some poor, stupid, idiot soul attempted to exercise his handbook-given right and started killing all his suspects in custody? It's a ridiculous notion to us at the moment, but why even allow the chance for it to happen when it can be changed with a simple backspace?

    • If there is 1 minute remaining until server restart and there is not enough time to send the suspect to jail from an HQ or Prison.

Not to mention the hilarious amount of """unwritten""" rules which reside entirely on the forums aka the APD Policy Updates. Why are the policy updates not being updated into the APD Dashboard on the Wiki? Tethering is such a common practice and I just searched it in the APD Wiki... zero results. This applies to a number of obscure policies which you could get points for violating, even if you were totally unaware of their existence as they are buried in the APD Policy Updates forum.

Thank you, Kernikov, for such a stimulating suggestion.

  7. You guys are very rude people. Im sure a lot of people have creative ideas and seeing the APD’s higher ups just totally dunk on someone for having an interesting idea is discouraging.

Blue Money is an interesting idea but sadly has little practical use due to the cheap nature of securing weaponry as a whitelisted player. UC cops choose those slots and therefore choose the costs associated with them.

  8. A really interesting idea but possibly impossible to implement without unbalancing the current dynamic between rebel and BH, as well as the housing market (skip houses still sell, iirc?)

I would love to see the default non-skiptracer bounty hunter shop make a return to the cities, though.

and when no rebels show up?

How do you determine when they are allowed to start the event? We need whitelisted rebels?? "You cannot start this event with fewer than x rebels online". It just doesn't work.

I can see something like a "prisoner transfer" type event or something.

If no rebels show up then the cops succeed...? I'm assuming we could put a general player-cap restriction on the event, such as: "You cannot start this without at least 60 players online."

If it's just a generic task for the APD to do, then there is no need for a huge pay-out. We can have a charge like "Depot Raiding" that adds a lot of bounty to rebels for the cops to get their payout if the rebels attack, and obviously the rebels get their payout by hijacking the raid or something.

  10. The Convoy event was a perfect example of an APD-initiated federal event that could be scripted into the server.

Similar to Altis Shipping, you could have multiple drop-off points (with an increasing difficulty and payout for each one).

Maybe we should have some sort of 'seized contraband depot' and APD officers can choose to deliver the contraband to evidence lockup and get a nice payout based on how many contraband depots they visit.

  11. It's honestly ridiculous that, as previously noted, severity doesn't come into play. The individual who sent those screenshots to Blunt was banned for 25 days... why? Because he DOWNED a newspawn. They lost... a minute's worth of time. He was mistaken for one of the players we were fucking around with, and nothing even happened to him. But yeah, broken system IMO.
