  1. At least you link a good song. o7
  2. Accepted my APD app back in 2014. o7 Bud.
  3. @Spek_ and I were flying around tracking bounties. I open up Steam to see if someone was still on my friends list, and as I tab back in, I accidentally hold my W key down... then this happens.
  4. All of my flights are flown on VATSIM, and I also regularly control as well (I am C1 rated).
  5. Departing from Las Vegas McCarran Intl, en-route to Philidelpha. ETA to Philly is 4 hours, 30 minutes.
  6. Juliana isn't that bad as people make it to be - but pilots absolutely love that airport. One of the more difficult airports with daily commercial traffic in the United States to land at (if not the most difficult) is Aspen County in Colorado. It's surrounded by peaks as high as 14,000 ft, and the airport elevation is ~ 7700 ft, making that a huge drop in elevation. In addition to all the terrain, the airport does not have any precision approaches. There is no ILS system installed to guide the aircraft down the approach path. It's either a localizer, DME, or RNAV approach, and if you put bad weather into the mix, it could turn into the most chaotic moment of a pilot's career, which is why you need special training to land at that airport.
  7. Taking off from Baltimore.... Boston, here we come!
  8. Very nice. I mostly fly the PMDG 737 and 777, and occasionally pop into the Aerosoft Airbus Series, QualityWings 757, LevelD 767, Blackbox A330/A340, etc.
  9. Enroute from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Hong Kong International. Hong Kong is such an amazing airport in the sim and I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures of the airport and surrounding terrain... in 14 hours.
  10. The MP5 is a better weapon than you think.
  11. While unofficial, I loved doing this on Arma 2's Takistan Life. I would also suggest if you didn't include it already, Monopoly, that markers on the map are added for civs to show the bus stops. +1
  12. Another pic I only took about 30 minutes ago - this time departing out of Baltimore and en-route to Manchester, NM. The picture was taken at about maybe 2,000 ft off of runway 15R at BWI.
  13. Very nice, and thanks for your service. I hold my PPL (instrument + multi engine rating) as well as my Commercial license, and maybe by the start of next month, I'll have my CFI.
  14. For those of you interested, I've taken the time and listed out all of my mods with the links to their respective websites in my original post.
  15. To start off, I would recommend Flight Simulator X. It's a perfectly fine sim for the default aircraft it has. Practice some of your departures and landings, and as you gain experience and can land and takeoff without breaking the plane, that's when I would start investing money. The grand that I've spent over time is on mods and addons to make aspects such as airports, weather, airplanes, etc. as close to real life as possible.
  16. Well no pilot in real life would hand fly the entire cruise portion of the flight. So to answer your question, yes, I do set the autopilot and do other things in the background on my computer but I am still attentive to what's going on in the cockpit.
  17. It's Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D (P3D) (http://www.prepar3d.com/) It's basically a replica of the old and absolute trash Flight Simulator X by Microsoft with a lot of performance differences. P3D offers way better memory allocators and with the $1000+ worth in mods to make my sim as realistic as possible, I need all the memory-saving technology I can get.
