  1. I agree with the above but will add that playing cop now is super boring unless you're a hardcore Kavala addict. You patrol the fields and find...well nothing because nobody is running anything illegal. So you say ok I'll go check the legal areas and its empty as usual. So where's everyone at? Well either dicking around in cartels or doing smuggling and then you hope you can catch them every 20 mins in that 50m radius. Yawn, I got better shit to do with my time. Add NLR for cops in illegal zones + buff other illegal money making methods or the server population will keep plummeting. Last week I've noticed the servers struggle to reach 100 players and in the evenings its completely dead. Also these guys are completely spot on about the costs of being a rebel, it's very expensive. You easily spend $35k+ on a loadout and if you attack a well camped cartel, well then you're almost inevitably going to die or lose a few gang members during that attack. On Altis, you need those ifrits to attack cartels but obviously not on server 5 so that cost doesn't necessarily apply on Tanoa. On Tanoa you must have an orca for basically any cartel fight you do. P.S. Either find better DDOS protection or switch to NFO from OVH. HostileTakeover uses NFO for a good reason, they're the best and those guys don't ever go down. If I was a civ, I would't play on Asylum either because why waste 1 hr+ only for the server to go down in the middle of your run?

Not trying to rain on your parade but just want to make sure people know what they're getting into if they buy a 4K display.
  3. A gtx 1060 for 4K is way too underpowered to be honest. My Pascal Titan X is barely adequate for that task and it's a $1200 card. 4K isn't worth it unless one is willing to throw down lots of money for the GPU.

  5. I haven't seen Tanoa planes on Altis, are they purchaseable? If they are then just remove them and limit them to drug runs only. No risk no reward.
  6. Yup, just make it a risky endeavor with good rewards. It would force gangs to basically hold multiple smugglers in order to do safe runs during peak hours. Newbs could do them late night when hardly anyone is around to make some cash too. Cops could raid the air fields every 20 minutes and if they see people there, siren and down them and search for illegal cash. If they've got nothing, tell them to leave just like any other illegal field. If the admins add in APD NLR for illegal areas then we'll really be in heaven.
  7. What if shooting the planes while they're flying above or landing was allowed? Would make it far more riskier to make money runs while keeping the payout the same.
  8. If they're commiting a crime and get caught then it's their fault. No way should they ever be compensated for that. The scroll menu already has too many options, let's not add more.

  10. Plus cops are usually uncoordinated and talking over each other in TS. Tac comms sounds good in the APD guidebook but its never really practiced. In addition, you can't even take cover in a lot of scenarios cuz those 7.62mm bullets just rip right through them.
  11. I think the answer is to usher in NLR and enforce it with zone triggers (e.g. illegal areas) where if a cop dies in the zone, they can't respawn there just like HQ. It would spare admins the headache of sorting complaints and it would make gameplay more fun for both cops and rebels. Cops would have to value their life in that situation and if they manage to snag a combat seize, then all the better for them. As for the rebels saying they prefer lethals, well of course you do, cops just had their lethal payout significantly nerfed and now you're complaining about seizing. What's next? MX's too powerful so all constables should be using P07's only? Come on get real. In the 5 weeks I've been doing constable, I've only combat seized once and that's when I had 4 rebels vs just me in Athira. You guys are blowing it way out of proportion.

  13. A german altis life server had this about 2 years ago. You could adjust how many EMP shots it took to disable a chopper and it would allow them to safely land w/the engine disabled. Additoinally, the EMP shots would have a target reticle and when locking on, the target would hear the sound and be able to dodge them. I think something like that would be incredibly useful for the APD.
  14. @bamf would you consider adding maybe a 150-300m red zone radius for the drug smugglers? That way RDM incidents/reports happen far less and there will be less toxicity associated with it.

  17. Honestly donor level 5 should automatically get all loot crate items. And since loot crates are pay to win and not just cosmetic, why not add in higher armor level items? You guys always say Asylum is short on cash and I know people can't resist blowing cash on P2W items so it's win/win. We might even end up with enough cash to finally have better servers and if we're really lucky, one in Western US.

  19. Decent patch. Can we get one US west based server though? The ping to OVH servers for those of us on the west coast is pretty bad.
  20. All those things are in server 5 but it runs very smooth yet servers like 4 are complete dog shit. I don't even think it's really DDOS because if it was, why not take down server 5 with the rest? I'd peg it more to just weak boxes that are probably sharing servers.

I'd love to see bigger payouts for drug runs (and even more legal ways of making money), medic money making buff, NLR for cops at drug fields (using these body cams as proof?), craftable apex weapons, larger group caps, less aggressive dynamic market so community group runs are a thing again etc. Oh wait all this has been asked for often but ignored. Carry on.
  22. I'd suggest medics be given prestige for giving blood bags and other heals that they can then exchange for cash. It doesn't have to be a ton where people begin to exploit it but just enough for it to be worthwhile while playing as one. Also, I'm not sure if its been implemented yet, but longer distance revives need a lot higher payout so they have an incentive to come get you. Raising the price on the medic chopper was a strange change to me, it should have stayed around $5500 because they already make shit for money. Yeah there might be rebels who abused the low cost of medic choppers but I haven't seen too much of that.
  23. Problem with that is two cops on patrol will roll into an illegal field, get killed and tell the rest on TS. Those on TS will wait outside the illegal zone and chase you down endlessly so the problem isn't solved.
  24. So fix your server policy rather than nerf cops. Add in NLR for cops in certain locations (or everywhere) and give them better gear--even if the better gear costs more. Seems like you got killed, got angry and nerfed cops on impulse. There's veteran players here like Pentax that have made good suggestions (which I bet a lot of us agree with) that you decide to ignore.
