Midamaru
Is there anyone that uses rotorlib and can hotdrop really well? Tried to practice and practice but it seems so hard. My best attempt so far: Atmosphere and AndrewFam like this Link to comment
Pentax
Not full orca and full orca will be handled differently with rotorlib, because weight matters. Atmosphere likes this Link to comment
Midamaru
Is a heavier orca better to handle? I seriously have no clue how to do this ._. Can't even find any videos on learning it.. it's all just bleh Link to comment

But you can feel orca or any other heli actually being way heavier, so typical hotdrop which would work when you're flying solo wouldn't work on full heli. Midamaru
So abusing the fact that rotorlib heli's can take more damage when landing is kinda pointless for cartels? I just.. want to be better at it Link to comment
KevinOB
I applaud you for using rotorlib. But no one will shame you if you fly standard. Link to comment

I just.. want to be better at it I mean ability to take more damage when landing does help, a lot. At the end of the day though all it comes down to putting hours in learning/practicing. Midamaru
That's what i am wondering, if you fully master rotorlib. It does actually give you the possibility to land harder/riskier right? In that case i won't mind practicing ^^ Link to comment

In that case i won't mind practicing ^^ Yes you have more space to work with in rotorlib, you can pull maneuvers which you couldn't pull on standard, but of course with more risk included. Unfortunately until Bohemia will fix the way keyboard handles spool up(forgot the real name of the process lol) and spool downs (forgot the real name of the process lol), it's gonna be 10x harder than using a joystick. Cause currently on keyboard when u press a button to use more power in a spool up or less power, the action gets delayed by almost a second, on joystick it's instant. Link to comment
Midamaru
That's one of the things really dragging me down yeah, i mean i could make a turn and stop the orca completely. If i'd land it would just spin up instantly for 5-10m again.. like i'd bounce off Link to comment
Pentax
Btw with that landing if you had people on asylum, and landed that hard, all of them prolly would be sitting at like 20hp left, or maybe even dead. Link to comment
CyanogenCX
How do you enable/disable rotorlib? Link to comment
Pentax
I had made a video a year ago, when asylum was forcing rotorlib. From literally now knowing how to fly rotorlib and putting couple hours of practice, this is what I managed to come up with. Obviously wasn't hotdrops or having full heli flying, but I remember doing hot drops on hummingbirds for marauders when rotorlib was forced. (they obviously werent as good as standard model hot drops, but at least it was something, considering the fact when they forced rotorlib, I was the only reason marauders were still doing those drops, while the rest used cars ) Edited February 14, 2016 by Pentax Link to comment

allan thomas
havnt used rotorlib bt all i do is just give it a sharp turn close to ground, land nicely and fast every time.. then take off ill put my nose up and turn so i do another sharp turn out of there, close as possible to the ground my tactics for droppin quick... kinda new so this could be irrelevant.. haha Link to comment

Spek
There is a collective down/up change to control the rate of thrust in a manner of precision . Ive only seen about 3 pilots who can hot land and fly like a beast with rotorlib. Orcas handle weird compared to other choppers in rotor lib. (2 of the 3 pilots , played in mill sim groups). Kowalski
Flying rotorlib on Asylum is like playing professional soccer with your feet tied together. Why??? Link to comment

Jessie Slaughter
I've used Rotolib, it does make a difference how heavy it is. Hot landing is really almost impossible I only know like 2 people that could probably even attempt it. Just stay on normal. Rotolib is fun and different but don't do it on here, go to a different server where the choppers are free or cheaper and test it there. Link to comment
Padrinos
More awesome flying vids please. I love flying and watching other epic collections of awesomeness with a rotary wing bird. Who is the best? Link to comment

D the G
Rotorlib by itself isn't even that hard in my opinion, try it without auto trim on and it's impossible unless you have rudder pedals. Only then will you know the woes of a real helicopter pilot! Link to comment
