He did change the song, He changed it to YMCA and when you played it the whole server would mass kick until hard restarted. Fkn village people up in kavala breaking the world n shit. (Probably had more to do with a major change bohemia did to how sound files are handled and forgot to mention it in their patch notes, but still just sayin)

There were less servers and less life competition to choose from when there were only 10K people playing arma 3. If we look more recently, arma peaked in summer of 16' (right as Mass kicks started happening) and has been declining since. Arma was around 48K players when pubg came out and since has been down in the low 30K's (looking at peaks) Pubg has been able to grab people from all kinds of games, because its well done, glitches do happen but not near the level of bohemia.

I'm saying there are less people playing arma 3. When you go play pubg then come back to arma and get killed by opening a door or hitting a bush its pretty frustrating.

It shows arma's player count. Since It was pretty stable around 24K players average, in aug it lost 4k (inb4 school, take a look at 2016, not as significant of a drop)

As long as BI releases unlocked templates its good to go for the most part. I am surprised at how fast they unlocked them though, usually they wait a month or two.

Unfortunately a lot of the events the admins have were created awhile ago and have not been updated for changes to the server. Which could cause the server to crash, players to get BABS'd ect... With the exception of Smirnoff not too many admins are making new events/updating the old ones. I've seen some life servers with random events such as plane crashes or boat wrecks that players can go loot. It would be interesting to see how they would play out on asylum.

Unfortunately its not defaulted to that, So I'd suspect most admins just click on the search button and go with that, oldest to newest.

Editing should not bump it. Player reports only get locked after the admin has made a ruling. It is the same with compensation. Sometimes we need more information/evidence.

Also, Don't bump your comp request thread, We go Oldest to Newest based on the last post (Just how the forums work) If you bump it you actually go to the back of the line.

Admins don't always get along, or hell even like each other. That said, i've yet to see anyone in our current roster who isn't able to put aside their biases and work with another admin. Hell Jiga and myself got into it a couple of times in admin discord, yet were still able to join the same channel and talk like two adults. As to calling out the APD admin higher-ups, We've been saying the same thing about the rebel admins since I was a moderator. There has always been "Us vs Them" mentality. I certainly don't see us as "higher end of the admin chain" I was joking to JB just the other day "Hell at this rate you are a senior admin" We've lost a lot of good ones in the past 12 months. In my opinion the main reason APD is looked at for admins is just face time. Typically they have been around the community for some time, they've made a lot of posts on the forums, and have more exposure to the admin team. Smirnoff was/has been the biggest supporter of balance. Every time there were apps open he always puts pressure to ensure we arn't just looking at LT apps. In the mode of "cops and robbers" those playing referee should have a healthy balance of APD and rebel. But as has been mentioned before, I'm a career cop and not always 100 on these events so I put it out to any admin who was online at the time. All agreed it looked to be DPI, even those not in the super awesome APD admin club. I stand by the ban. As to the length of the ban, I'd refer you to Bamf's post about shortening the time of bans. We take several things into account when looking at a ban. In this case base on past history and severity I didn't feel this needed 'the long dick of the law'. Bans shouldn't be punitive, they should reformative. Now a couple of things not directed at the original post Reading thru the comments i've seen several people try to call out the person banned. He has been very professional about it. "Take it like a man" He certainly did. Could of easily spammed me with the typical appeal of "KYS" "FUCK YOU" "ADMINS ARE SHIT". He simply asked why he was banned, I told him. He asked to see the evidence, I provided. Some might see this post as crying. Quite the opposite in my eyes. You see something you perceive to be a problem and are trying to correct it. The difference here and some of the other posts - Well thought out issues, and solutions given to those issues. Lack of memes. This is how you keep your thread from getting locked. TLDR; 1. It was changed, but most of us prefer to give the banning admin a chance to handle it. Sometimes there is more to the story than just a player report. We typically try to notate an account as much as possible, but the box is rather small. At the end of the day unless I know the admin is away for some time I don't handle their appeals.

It usually fails for me the first one or two times then goes through fine. I think it needs an update.
