  1. We will do this very simple: Show a SS of the locaiton, as well as the coordinates and give maybe a quick statement on why it would be a good location.
  2. @FozzyBear Second one wouldn't work because look at all those ownable houses....
  3. I am always interested in new cartel locations. Its a lot harder than you think. There are a lot of different things to consider when looking for locations. Such as purchasable houses nearby, how close are they to rebel/cities, gathering/processing locations, etc. etc. The biggest concern for me, when searching for new areas is trying to find locations that are balance from both sides, which can be very difficult. With those big towers that you pictured Haych, we are trying to divert from using those because all they really supply is major dsync when fighting cqc and a huge tactical advantage when defending on top (especially if the terrain is already on its highest elevation). And lets be honest, from past experience most gangs just suicide vest those towers. Now I know there are arguments for both sides of the towers, so lets just not get into that. Besides the ones that have the towers, lets take a look at the last 4 pictured. 1) Lighthouse (NE of Sophia?) - I do like this one. I think the only concern is that this will turn into a very long/boring fight, but I could be wrong. I do see the potential hot drop locations as well as the ifrit rush type of play into this one. So I am all for this one, just not 100% sure how many houses are for sale nearby. 2) This one has pure defensive tactical advantage. There really isn't much cover to push from and that deer stand could prove to be AIDs. However, I do know what type of offense could work in this type of cap, but just not sure how the mast majority would feel about it after doing it over and over, but hey, I am still for this one. 3) I personally don't really like this one at all. Like the rest, there is always potential, but I have a feeling this one would be a cartel where people would say, "Oh its there...fuck that." 4) This one is probably my favorite. I have no clue where its at, but I do like the 360 degree environment and it appears that there is multiple ways for an attacker to push and a defender to set up. Ones like these are my favorite. For the ones that constantly think that we don't listen to what the community is suggesting, I am really surprised that you have yet to realize on how many suggestions that are made, actually get put into Asylum. If I recall, there is only one suggestion in the appropriate thread about cartel locations made by Krypton, and not one person even suggested different cartel locations. Remember, cartel movement all started when a mast majority of the rebels, wanted change. They were sick of fighting the same spots over and over again. So we made them rotate around, offering a different variety each restart. Now, people are complaining that they rotate around. So really there is no winning regardless of what gets selected. For this new one we put in, we want feedback from the gangs after they give it a fair chance and actually fight at that location a few times. What I learned from this community many months ago, is that they complain instantly, before actually giving something a chance. So if it is still that terrible after a few weeks, just let us know and we can try a new location. Its that simple...
  4. Are you telling me, that some youngins' don't consider 2-Pac to be rap?!?! You should figure out where they live and slap the shit out of them...
  5. Literally, the first video's title is "Bad Blood - Montage Speciality"
  6. @Kryptonn videos of zero montages, and what do you go and do...you post a montage SMH I'm not mad...just disappointed
  7. Larry, we have looked at about 10-20 different videos and you happen to be in sooo many of them...I bet you have quite the collection.
  8. Invisible Vehicle: My very first APD Orca, what I learned, never let Cheech fly: First day as a Sgt.
  9. I have been a part of Asylum for nearly two years. I have seen many people come and go. And honestly, some of the best videos I have seen to ever reach the forums were from way back in the day. The videos of non-stop antics and zero montages. Videos that showed some outrageous glitches as well as comical interactions. So I am going to dedicate this post to some real Old School Videos... I will start it off with two of my favorite videos on Asylum of all time: This video is basically just some ridiculous antics in Kavala. Credit: Scorced Gaming In this video, you will see something that use to be called Terrorism. This was when a rebel gang could declare terrorism on a city and the cops would have to answer it with Marshall Law and this interaction is priceless. Credit: SV_Paul So please, share some of your old school videos. From times when Cops had backpacks and we had the ol' interface for Inventory.
  10. I love the Taxi service. I feel its one of the most under-rated jobs that 'could be' in Asylum. It just needs some TLC by Paratus.
  11. Yeah, we have too many immature children that wouldn't behave on it. It would be just one more thing we would have to babysit. If we had a more mature playerbase (overall, there are AWESOME members), I would all be for it.
  12. Nothing will be changed because we keep the rules vague for our own benefit. If I got a video of a guy who ran one guy over, causing no harm to said player, I wouldn't ban. But if a video gets submitted of a guy who is running over all of Kavala, I will ban. If I get a video of a guy swerving to intentionally hit someone, I will more than likely ban him. I can't speak on behalf of every Admin, but the rules are vague to allow us to police them how we see fit to the best of the server. Love, -KS
  13. That pretty much sums it up...Many players are report heavy for the dumbest shit. Honestly the only reports we should receive are CL and Exploiters. RDM reports should be able to be handled between the two players and VDM the same, but that takes two adults to accomplish. Obviously the mass RDM and mass VDM should definitely be given to us, so that player can really take a long break. Yep ^
  14. Basically, all Admins recommend that you be tagged up. Scenario for the main reason why: Gang A vs. Gang B Gangmate A is untagged and has a random name Gangmate A kills Gangmember B Gangmember B figured he was just RDM'd, so he goes and reports it As Admins, we watch the video, and to us it even looks like RDM -> So we ban Gangmate A Now Gangmate A is pissed and confused why he is banned, blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc. I think you see where this ends... While the easiest solution is to make an official rule on it, our CMs feel that its not needed.
  15. Original Post ^^^ Note the Bold/Underlined areas... A simple quote ^^ Note the questioning of bringing up real life into this forum post... Another simple quote ^^ Remember, the OP, it had a biggg paragraph about promotions... Sorry Krypton, looks like you went full circle on your own post and totally contradict everything your trying to defend. The process isn't perfect, never will be, and many people fall through the cracks. Has been since day 1. There have been excellent higher ups, shitty higher ups, and so-so higher ups. There have been shitty constables, excellent constables, and so-so constables. Some of them somehow get promoted, some of them don't get noticed, and some of them remain constables. I played cop, almost exclusively for 7 months before I got promoted to Sgt (before Sr. Constable/Corporal). I saw some shitty Constables get promoted before me, and saw some excellent ones as well. I never made a forum post like many unsatisfied officers tend to do and never bitched about not getting promoted. You know what I did, I just continued playing the game.
  16. Besides dropping IQ while reading this, you would get banned for CL.
  17. 1 - No, just don't CL to do so. 2 - Yes. That was the point of the Identity theft charge in the first place.
  18. Well the term 'Active Firefight' is pretty simple. So lets just break down the two words. Firefight is essentially when two or more parties are exchanging shots and Active basically means it is currently going on. So basically, it means there is currently a shootout between two or more parties at the present time. Also, just because two or more parties are initiated with hostile intent towards another, and are currently shooting at one another, doesn't give other players the right to just jump in and shoot whomever they want. Now remember! There is a reason why we ask for 5 minutes of video for proof of RDM. It is so we can see what happened PRIOR to the claimed RDM. This also means, your window of RP for hostile intent is also 5 minutes. Once an area turns red, it is KOS. Once the area is no longer red, it is no longer KOS. But let me expand on this a bit more. We will use a Prison Break for this example: **Gang X and Cops are fighting at the Prison. The prison break is over and the area is no longer red, HOWEVER, since the two parties are still in an active firefight, KOS between ONLY the two parties is still permitted until the situation is over or done with. Now its not completely over or done with until 5 minutes has passed without any shots between the two parties (because of the 5 minute window we give all players for initiation of RP).** I hope that clears it up for you.
  19. Not a terrible idea. But instead, how about the person doesn't show up on the wanted list, but if you search the keys of the vehicle it would say that he has x amount in speeding tickets.
  20. It use to go up to 2 hours, but then we realized, players would just Alt-Tab and watch Netflix or something. So in theory, they are just wasting their gaming time. IF, and only IF, there was a bunch of different activities to do in the jail, I could hop on board. But at this current state, 45 is just got to be suffice.
  21. I like doing the fed as a rebel because its more intense, meaning there is some balance there.
