    Self lockpick

With some planning then yeah, some can see how it could work and they could like the idea of it. I still personally think it would be to much but if I had to argue for it. Self lockpicking Handcuffs Very low chance of success. Can not be done with inside a vehicle Needs to consume a lockpick if the suspect has one. Impossible without one. (If cops are neglecting to take your stuff then that's on them and their fault.) Decent time for action, not as fast as lockpicking a car but not super long either. Animation to show action. (Only one I see that would be decent would be the sit cuffed '!e' animation with the lockpicking sound effect) COULD BE!!! An end all scenario. No new charges for trying failing to stop attempting to when asked could waive your right to explain charges with 'disobeying an order from an officer' charges and just get a ticket, followed by jail after the 3rd warning as the charge policy is normally. Successfully escaping but getting restrained again in the same situation could be a straight to jail offense, considered as 'escaping jail' without the actual charge. (Keeps things manageable and fair to a cop(s) efforts while still having that spice and responsibility of supervision. Having an end all outcome to still hold in that fear of arrest that would prevent this addition feeling like abuse.) Self lockpicking Zipties Slightly higher chance of success. (Zipties arent made of fucking metal after all) Can not be done inside a vehicle Needs to consume a lockpick if the suspect has one. Can attempt to break the zipties without a lockpick. Cop faction always attempt as if they have a lockpick. (Lockpicks aren't really available for cops...) Decent time for action, not as fast as lockpicking a car but not super long either. Takes significantly longer if user is not using a lockpick. Animation to show action. (Only one I see that would be decent would be the sit cuffed '!e' animation with the lockpicking sound effect) COULD BE!!! Considered a noncooperative action If caught trying to break free would be considered enough grounds of RP to be killed if the capturers choose to. (Keeps things fun for civilians and BH restraints. Adding the spice while also leaving the responsibility of supervision rather then yeah just leaving people stranded for 10 minutes preventing the trolling or restraint harassments)

I never mentioned anyone being mad, it was just my way of saying that this really would be a useless implementation. Not sure where values came into play, if you pay attention to most of what cop's complain about then you would know more. The loss on rebel side is usually of their own volition. Majority of the times even with high bounties most civilians are just in one giant group which also seems ridiculous imo, if you choose not to run a giant group then good on you; Congrats. Even if you win you got to split the payout, big gangs are understandable but people shouldn't be able to make 15-20 man groups of randoms, just join the same gang... As for cop's even with the cheaper kit price we generally run the same if not larger loss. Being required to push rebels whether we want to or not, Rebels always have the advantage as defenders plus all our payouts get autosplit by the server not to mention we barely even get a pea sized amount of what ever we seize from bank notes for example. Unless we manage to get lucky and beat a fed with only a few cops on. The title isn't even the only problem though. Obviously though if you put a suggestion in that clearly targets cops then of course you shouldn't have a problem with getting a strongly cop based response, that just makes sense. You also never mentioned any good context to it at all, even when you did bring up some use for it all you mentioned really was wanting to get out to kill more cops and have fun. Even with the low success rate a suggestion this impactful should be prepared perfectly to the T rather than how it was just done.

There's already unbinding yourself from BH restraints after 10 minutes, 'Breaking the zipties'. Sure it's just a game mechanic to avoid issues but still that at least seems more understanding and believable than everyone and their mothers knowing how to and being fully equipped to break out of cop handcuffs as well. Sure realistically its possible but there needs to be a line. Just like Junke said, there's already a chance to get back up being downed, being cut free by friends, suiciding. There's already so many ways the majority of the server already uses to avoid confrontation... Why make it even more of a challenge for no reason or benefit at all other than not being able to accept a defeat.

    BOUNTY HUNTER

I somewhat agree to some of the things here. Bounty hunting with some reasoning to it in most cases is not worth the reward in my opinion. Yes its satisfying when you finally get someone and have them sent to jail but there's some pains to it. It's not often you see a large group of bounty hunters... Usually 1-2 maybe 3 man groups, Why would a large group want to bounty hunt when they can do feds instead anyways. Sometimes you see larger groups but they aren't even bounty hunting, they just want the guns... That causes a struggle with bounty hunters losing lots of money trying to snag people from these larger gangs and groups just to get a small amount of payout for it, if they even manage to get the bounty and send him to jail without getting a beat down that is. Bounty hunting now is just to hard and not worth it for the reward. Wanting higher payouts for the work seems reasonable. Everything else about bounty hunting seems fine to me though.
  5. There's already a new APD policy made to specifically deter people from wanting to suicide themselves. People want changes that prevent people from doing this kind of dumb thing so with no disrespect I do find this suggestion a fun and enjoyable read. 😂
  6. That helicopter not wanting life anymore sure was a sight to see lol
  7. Yeah I get that too, usually when I play the civ life I'm a goody goody who doesn't participate much in the violent gang stuff anyways; just light bounty hunting. I could start doing that some more.
  8. Well yeah I can see the frustrated logic in this and it's true where suggestions that affect rebels primarily come from cop's, It happens both ways as is kind of expected with them being the two conflicting forces. Like I've read before in places, "Why would a rebel want to make the game harder for themselves". The ticket and charge prices aren't actually high at all though in reference to other light RP servers for single or racked up charges, even then none of the changes suggested here are even meant to or going to heavily prevent anything that is already happening. The idea is really to just slow down the pace of it. It's takes a little longer to event spam since we all got busted on the last one for example. Maybe I'll not kill this random player EVERY time he respawns just because we're still initiated, for another. It's not like I'm suggesting we lock away criminals for insane amounts of time or make any prices any higher, values get so racked up because rebels manage to do so much in such a little time. What do you think killed most of the fun that could be had in the server?
  9. Gonna alternate course on a previously denied suggestion that RIGHTFULLY got a decent amount of hate. Suggestion Making things more like a hardcore server isn't the way to go, the community is all correct on that. Though even for a light RP server it's easy to admit that repercussions of just about anything are barely there to not there at all, I'll admit that point was pretty well put across as well. I don't suggest longer times as the current times along with pushing plates seem's pretty well balanced for a light RP server, the problem is the repercussions. It really does defeat the purpose of the crime status if all you have to do is get sent to jail and get out right away. The tools for a better prison system already exist in the game, they just need some tweaking is what I suggest. There really is no point in prison even being a thing if people can just pay off their bounties right away or even just push plates for 2 minutes and be out causing more chaos like nothing even happened. Set a better cap to being able to post bail, 35k - 50k maybe? Pair this with limiting how much you can shorten your sentence with plate pushing. A 5 minute required jail time seems pretty fair to me though suggestions can be made. Keeps the minor offenders/misdemeanors from having undeserved sentences still being able to post bail. It's easy for small offences to get paid off at a courthouse, post bail quick or turn yourself in for a ticket before it gets to high. Threats towards society that increases the fear of capture from cops/bounty hunter's with their bounty limits requirement to pull bounties. Bounty hunters haven't seen a lot of love or changes in a long time. Would push for more RP in cop encounters/dire escape attempts/less cop harrassment Rather than the usual straight to jail normies and large groups that just strive to get all the cops to quit the game with constant 24/7 engagement. Endorse a higher/more immediate need for prison break attempts if people want to get their friends out faster or save a bounty. Will add that slight 'fear factor' that Asylum is completely missing. It is kinda overwhelming to the lesser fortunate or new players that they could really just be hands up or dead for no reason at all at any point in time, it's light RP but damn... New or struggling players shouldn't be killed on sight as soon as they try to spawn somewhere. If for some weird reason this doesn't sound reasonable at all then maybe at the minimum a 'jail without bail' scroll wheel option that Captains can make a policy for. Can be done by Corporal+ within reference to the Captains policies for it. Maybe repeat consistent offenders or could be a response tool towards terrorism acts if a Corporal+ is present rather than their standard straight to jail charge.

    Housing Solution

Career cops keep good houses to prevent the civ's from camping in them 😜 JK, I actually use my houses for the small amount of time I do play civ.
  11. I was never around for those days to see it sadly, sounds like fun times. Shame it wasn't used.
  12. On another note though. I like the thoughts of SOME things mentioned here. Maybe not a whole new talent class or new equipment/mechanics. The idea of establishing a hitman like bounty system though sounds like a lot of fun. Could be a great way to help aid the admins in their fight for ways to lower some of the economy problems if done right as well. Create new civilian only phone option 'Contracts' displaying a players name as well as the contract value for anyone that has a contract set. There should be 2 other options for 'Set Contract' and 'Accept Contract' to allow people to set new ones or accept current ones. Contracts can be placed on anyone in any faction excluding AFD. RDM/VDM rules still apply, targets don't get automatically tagged with a red name. Minimum and Maximum Contract value. List stays consistent until contract is completed, so people keep their contracts on their heads even after they leave the server. If contract isn't complete by the end of the restart cycle, server returns peoples money when the server restart warning appears. Or keep it longer idk. Players can only consistently hold 1 Contract at a time, until the contract is claimed by someone else, contract leaves the server, contract accepter gets sent to jail or server restarts. Avoids contract hopping whenever you see someone you are near that has a contract. Target can only have a bounty placed on them once per restart cycle. Contract is paid out after targets death, only if the killer has accepted the contract. Cant accept gang members contracts Some way to prevent abusing this step, maybe preventing revives or something. I personally have no clue. Could maybe even add some cop stuff to it. Cop's can see they have an active contract when searching civilians. Civilian can be charged for something like 'Murder Conspiracy' Removes the contract and prevents the civilian from claiming another for some time after getting charged for it. Or they can claim another one right away after release, doesn't matter. Add's danger to holding onto contracts for to long or for getting caught before you can get them. 😜
  13. Dude this sounds pretty cool
  14. Ah but the games got enough civ's 😉 I'm just spouting idea's for the people that complain that there needs to be more to do on cop. I actually enjoy just chilling Most times. I do pop on civ sometimes though, think I got like 3 or 4 hours of civ time clocked this month.
  15. We all know the cop game lately, it is very population based so often we end up with nothing to do but drive around for 2-3 hours doing fuck all. Yes it is a very complicated task when it comes to making cop look more appealing from that or just to give them more tasks they can do in general while keeping them balanced. How about some random small timed event that goes off a few times a restart, something similar to AFD's firefighter events. Have something happen that cops can choose to go to for a short time in exchange for a small sum. Still boring and pointless in sense but something to do. I personally was thinking almost exactly like the firefighters events. With APD or even just SWAT if that seems more fair to you to keep things completely mirrored with the tiers, have some random store or home alarms goes off here and there that everyone can hear having the possibility to attract civilian attention *wink* while pinging APD either at unpopulated gas stations or random buildings towards the outskirts of towns or wherever. Little False Alarm events cops can choose to go to and sit at for a short time "Securing the Area". Could even have the location marked on the map for everyone for an extra chance of crazy possibly happening.

    New fed

Evidence is the only enjoyable fed for cops and it isn't even *heavily* cop sided. Still majorly civ sided. Which seems perfect since asylum has end game which are the feds in general, then we have truly end game which is the evidence. It honestly shouldn't ever be more civ sided simply due to the massive payout and it just wouldn't make sense if it was. I personally feel mental should be changed up to be slightly more cop sided than it is since it is also considered to be a truly end game fed also eh, I guess we'll just leave the dangerous mental institution unguarded all the time lol.
  17. That would have probably helped lol. It was pretty much a Cadet army all weekend. As for a wipe, if it's gonna fix the problems that have risen then might as well do it and just pull the band aid, I support a wipe. Lot's of people say they don't want one and if it happens they are quitting, some are even trying to negotiate to keep the parts of their estate that give them their status (ie houses/garages and so on) So what... If they are here it's because they enjoy the game, the server and maybe even the community as well. What are they gonna do, stay in the server with the people that they already know and deal with a wipe or start fresh anyways on a new server with new people and the same problems?
  18. I'm well aware the reason they are inside of towns is for the "Danger" factor, which is fine. Though a few of them are in such a place where its just insane unless you have a gang of people backing you up which a good amount of people or new players don't and its a big turnoff to even try. Obviously I'm not saying move them out in the open far from everything, just put them a little farther out. Like Athira wongs is right beside the gun store, making it really hard when you get anywhere near it and then every single athira rat at town square just runs to you. My suggestion pretty much is move them slightly further out from town centers than they already are now. A few ways to keep them even when it comes to danger would be to change the initiation range from interaction range to a slightly bigger proximity, maybe even marking the zone with a small circle so people know. Not like anyone ever listened to the interaction range rule anyways... They just shoot you anywhere they can and steal your money. Would also make backpack runs of things less of a problem to worry about, having them not as close to ATM's as they are now.
  19. That suggestion is already denied and gone.
  20. That's still kind of the point. Not adding a big advantage to give but more of a possibility that could succeed mainly out of pure luck lol.
  21. Thanks for the consideration there and despite the easy solution existing that potato mentioned I do understand your worry as well. Anything can happen and we can never really know until it happens. Lol I'm guilty of buying 3 - 4 in under a minute or so though because I either crash the first 3 right away messing around or some other officers decide its funny to walk on them when I deploy them but I've never really noticed a bunch out at one time before.
  22. I would only really expect the same drone restrictions that we have now. Obviously treat it as if it is you when it's used so no camping it in redzones or federal event area's. Plus as underused as drones are already I doubt there will be much worry about having to deal with 3 - 4 of these at the same time ever.
  23. This is more of a counter suggestion to the recently denied suggestion here. It certainly would be nice to see another addition that allows the subtle implementation of unmanned units into the asylum environment, something like the ED-1E. While the current AR-2 Darter drone is awesome when used correctly, even that has it's limits and restrictions. All the same with the UGV being suggested here. Both countering each others limits while still having the same ones vice versa. Compared to having a literal UAV predator drone scouring the skies, this is just a harmless robot with an extending arm and a camera. Can be given to Sergeant+ alongside the current AR-2 Darter. This little robot being easy to spot and easy to destroy, I feel it's a much more fair and balanced addition that can be used. Can just be used as another recon tool that can sneak into federal events for information, or if you allow the ED-1E UGV to be able to interact with the probe to disarm drills/laptops/bombs then it would still fairly allow the APD to have a 3rd form of engagement called infiltration, seems like a skill issue if you manage to let a weak little robot sneak past your numbers after all. Compared to the options we have now of all out assaulting these events or trying are best just to keep a foothold.
