  1. I found everything you've listed here to be a somewhat reasonable reality until you spelled pyrgos "pyragos". And then suddenly I realized your facts were probably messed up too. Sorry.
  2. Moral of the story? Driving while tazed is very dangerous!
  3. Agreed. Finding an officer can be difficult but it has nothing to do with the officers themselves choosing to make it difficult. Why take away the RP situation solely due to the cops being busy dealing with everyone else doing what you just did that prompted you to contact the police in the first place? When someone turns themselves in it takes time. Considering the amount of off-duty cops BH's that are attacking HQ's to snag bounties and the number of people who want to turn themselves in, think about how that could bog down the system when spare officers are required to lock down the HQ while processing. With 80+ civilians on the island committing various acts I could literally spend the ENTIRE time driving from one side of the island to the other for folks who want a half ticket or less for turning themselves in. And to be flooded with phone calls while processing every situation as efficiently as possible. It's not something that everyone has time for. And that's if there are no backup calls, banks, feds etc etc. Know how many times someone has raged in 911 because nobody can leave bank/fed/pb to process them? I see it everyday. We could simplify the situation by having a special investigation unit (or even the 911 unit) tasked with handling people who want to turn themselves in but they are still bound by the same requirements as everyone else. And let's not forget the number of people who just want to kidnap you or bring you into an ambush because of some random desire to shit on cops. Know what would be cool? If civilians could walk into a secure holding cell at the HQ, select turn yourself in and nearby officers would be prompted with the option to report for processing you like prison break. Probably not feasible to code for the developers but it could be simplified by converting the drug slot into a corrections officer slot, and those are the officers who are prompted to spawn at the location. Just my two cents. Do the crime? Be ready to do the time. I don't know how many times someone told me they were reformed and go right back to doing what they did in the first place. Consider yourself lucky that the police have a 50% reduced ticket policy to increase RP. Don't get pissed at the APD because they are busy doing something else. And yes @Legit that may include quad squad - cops don't get to have any fun?
  4. Agreed. Prison breaks were much more common at the old pyrgos location. It was harder for cops but not impossible. Thats not to mention: Low frames Insane asylum spawns you underwater Guard duty spawn locations People dying at the end of the bridge main side randomly You could do a water push except there's no place to buy gear nearby
  5. Now if we could just tie the beginning of this into the "nice job man" meme. EPIC!!
  6. Wasn't SWAT removed from Prison with the implementation of Guard duty? And I find it particularly funny the mention of SWAT as if it works at all a few server cycles a day. If that's your only complaint well I guess you don't have to worry about THAT very much.
  7. Undercover Access to civilian clothing, weapons, and vehicles on duty. Not required to have rank or badge showing. May enter illegal areas (excluding cartels, Must have undercover LT or be transported by a civilian to enter rebel) at any time. Allowed to partake in recreational activities while on duty. Do not have to announce before downing in illegal areas. Seems to me the officer followed the slot abilities to the tee. You didn't lose? You lost and your drugs were later recovered by you because when the island reset you were unrestrained and maintained knowledge of where your vehicle was. * THAT'S NOT WEIRD AT ALL * I'd bet my bottom dollar that you came back onto the island and grabbed your vehicle without any resistance because the officer chose to let you go, was attending a briefing, or moved to a totally different location/island. There have been many suggestions to improve the UC ability to blend, but in the end it's not meant to be 100% fool proof. Heck I don't even change names these days... In my mind you say? That UC officer was carrying out his role EXACTLY as intended by the APD and developers. Whether or not your drugs were a recipe for your horcrux, the bottom line is that illegal is illegal. You'd be explaining why you weren't able to produce your Dark Wizard permit if you had to deal with me
  8. Read up. You clearly stated: "Its just an excuse in my opinion to do these things that normal officers can't because they have the privledge of a different slot that they're not playing correctly." Yet, they are playing correctly - just not in your mind. Seems to me that you want it modified, removed, or fixed (it's not broken btw) because you lost. I can assure you that it doesn't happen that way all of the time. UC's don't constantly camp illegal areas, they are allowed to go there whenever they want based on activity in the area but are routinely watched for abusing that freedom. That UC pushed you at processing. He didn't have to - he could have called for backup. Yesterday we rolled in 8 cops from UC observe and report tactics. My point? You would have been arrested anyways. NLR wouldn't have stopped him from calling it in. What then? They shouldn't be allowed to use a radio because it's too hard to conceal?
  9. I saw a civ run away from his buddy in the HQ because of it. Very awesome for UC.
  10. Nothing you said in the original post indicates the UC did anything incorrectly. They follow the same rules as a uniformed officer minus initiation in illegal areas, though I know some who still do it. Drug unit with a K-9? It's been requested adnosium. And I think maybe you'd like that LESS - ever seen CUJO? You could have just stored your phat lewt instead of being predictable. Welcome to PvP.
  11. What's on the bottom of my shoe? I don't know. Just checking it out....
  12. I've run into the same situation multiple times and I've found that a bit of roleplay goes a long way. I'm not saying that you don't RP because I know you do (one of the best), but I have been dealing with some REALLY salty off-duty cops lately and they question every single thing - even well known guidebook rules. Sometimes I think they're doing it purposefully to add confusion to the situation in order to get the upper hand. But I digress. Whenever lethals become necessary I give them an ultimatum and that usually prevents the post-lethal waterworks. Heck I even did it at the bank once. Granted they didn't get off the roof like I told them to, but nobody messaged me after the fact to complain.
  13. Imma laugh when that stressed power strip zaps your office into an inferno....
  14. 99% of the time your reason for wanting a pardon is a lie. Such as "I'm a bounty hunter and the script failed on my bounty" when you were actually fighting cartels.
  15. I agree, and I'll reiterate my point one more time because it doesn't seem like the message has been received; cops are being blamed left and right that they are not doing enough RP. To the point that penalty points are now being awarded for acting like a Robocop. I'm merely pointing out that MOST of the time, in my experience, rebels don't want to RP. It's the rare occasion that someone wants to RP, in fact, nearly every cop I've been around during processing is guilty of feeding RP information to help the situation out. A civilian maybe runs into 3-4 cops in a given play period, where a cop processes three times that amount of tickets in that time frame... with zero RP, verbal abuse, harassment, etc etc. By the time the cops are through all of that? I am not really in the mood for junk RP, I'll play along and give the reduced ticket but it's a major let down. Want good RP? Give good RP, that's all I'm saying.
  16. The point I'd like to make here is elaborate, and fabulous are not very common. You make a good point but it's far from the norm.
  17. I only robo'd you once bro!! And now you're one of my heroes!
