i've been bear maced before... some punk ran by me spraying that shit, and i'm dumb as fuck so I started running after him inhaling that shit for about 5 seconds, I managed to knock him down but at that point I was too fucked up to do anymore damage, my friend had to basically pull my hand to guide me. I went off to basic 3 days before I turned 18. I went for infantry but it was full and they needed more Arty, so they nudged me in that direction. I dont regret that at all though im glad I didnt go infantry

yeah you can sign a Voluntary Release, it takes about 3 months to go through. But it wont look as good on your service record if you VR as opposed to finishing your 3, 10, 10 contract. But it is still contract based.

I was an young adult with a lot of supressed anger, i'd often go to the bars and get into fights...that caught up to me and I got stuck with an aggravated assault charge, 4 months in jail, and consequences that still haunts me to this day seven years later. But it helped me figure shit out and better myself as a person. I plan to rejoin in 5 years once I receive a pardon if I don't have a solid enjoyable career by then.
