I think the Aussie life was more of a proving ground for seeing the communities interest in mods and what they could do with them. I really do hope that they bring mods to the Asylum Altis Life servers, would love to see new vehicles/weapons/clothing and other systems they could create. Obviously they want to stay true to form of ease of access and I see the new map as kind of a experiment as far as how they want to implement Tanoa.

Similar here, got into AIA in January 2015 with practically no experience, but AIA still fought FSA very frequently despite being much smaller. You start to meet people and make a name for yourself and go from there. You don't need to be some big gang to fight cartels to get your name out there. Currently I play with a group of 6 or 7 total and we still show up and fight cartels from time to time. There are a number of smaller gangs out there, just find some people within one that have the desire to fight and go do it.

Anyway, sorry about the RDM man, its unfortunate that it happens, but the best way to combat it is to record and report and thereby receive compensation for your unjust losses. Just give the small money making tasks a shot until you build up some base where a small loss due to bullshit doesn't kill you. Wreck Excavate, craft Vermins, Speed Fish Kavala. There are lots of opportunities, do one of the safer ones until you can afford to arm yourself.
