  1. 1. Ability to Spawn with a choice of weapons, not just the MK20

    • Allow police to spawn with a choice of 3 weapons, Sting 9mm, TRG, or MK20
    • No, don't change anything, the MK20 is enough

Every since Boehima Interactive nerfed the living piss out of the 9mm rounds, the APD had to adapt to this change. The outcome was the introduction of the MK20, I'll be referring to it as the F2000 occasionally so bare with me. The MK20 isn't bad in any respect, its a decent all around weapon that if used properly, is pretty good. Here's my suggestion though and please bare with me, everyone add there feedback and let's be civil about this. About a year ago, cops had access to the MX rifles, another decent, all around rifle. I'm not asking for that back though, it would be nice but I think baby steps should be taken in this situation. Here's what I want, a way to spawn with our choice of 3 primary weapons. These guns will be the MK20, TRG, and the Sting 9mm. These are all relatively easy to use, all around rifle that doesn't excel nor lack in any situations. The Sting 9mm is honestly the best weapon for dealing with the Kavala trolls, the fast rate of fire is vicious against players without armor. The MK20 and the TRG are good long range weapons that can be adapted to any situation that arises. To further balance this, when spawning in, we will not have ammo nor scopes for these weapons, forcing us to spend some money when buying ammunition. If the price of ammunition needs to be bumped up a little to offer more balance, then so be it. I will gladly take the MX back but let's be honest, we need to take tiny steps, day by day with small implementations. Perhaps the MX will never be an option, it doesn't really bother me. I don't mind buying weapons but these 3 weapons should be a choice before spawning in.

I really don't have motives, I just want a change of pace and get some choices when playing on Asylum. The Sting is good in Kavala, the fast fire rate chews through unarmored targets. Also the TRG is different and it's the exact representation of the IMI Tavor, a gun used by a police force in my state.

I mainly want the sting for my fashion police patrol.

I don't see anything negative about it though, would love to have those 3 load outs become standard. It's not like they're used by cops at all otherwise.

Back in the day Police officer could get their weapon and sync with it, you get killed you keep the gear with that MX but now Civ did complain that Cop Are *OP* they changed it for we need to buy loadouts on death since gear doesnt sync anymore. in the beginning the Spawn loadout was a sting but BI buffed the armor so we had to change to MK20.

Yeah I was there for that, the good days of the MX rifles... Rest in Peace :(

The sting was good against armor when the downing script was broken and before Bohemia changed the relations of armor to damage in the nexus update.  Against a carrier light the sting does 1 damage per shot up until about the 6 th shot. As for the TRG, it is simply an inferior version of the mk20.

I am the biggest fan of Sting I remember using it when default loadout was an MX. 

Unfortunately Bohemia nerfed small caliber bullets. 

What I want is being able to select MXM loadout for me and save it and after I die it should take money away from my account to pay for gear. Just so I dont have to run to the store, drop my gear blah blah blah, annoying.

If you are concerned about people returning too fast. Just put a delay on spawn "disableuserinput" for 30 sec so they can't rush.

Hell yeah! That's another option, a save file that remembers what the person had so when they spawn it duplicates but pulls the proper amount of money out of the bank for the items

Dont even need a file the functions are already in the game pretty much. The only problem that I can see is people are concerned that cops return fully geared to the crime scene but simple "DisableUserInput" command can prevent it for 30 sec or 1 min and we are good to go. Nobody is upset, and instead of constantly dropping your gear and rebuying you can go to the toilet or get coffee. 

Now you have to:

  1. Spawn
  2. Run to the store
  3. Drop pistol ammo
  4. Drop Mk20 and ammo
  5. Drop NVG
  6. Seize ammo and crap
  7. Drop hat
  8. Buy MXM and ammo
  9. Buy scope 
  10. Buy grenades

Way too many steps every time you spawn. Honestly gets annoying for me. (i do die a lot)

its a win-win just need to get everyone on board. 

saveGear and LoadGear functions already exist just a few modifications.

its a win-win just need to get everyone on board. 

saveGear and LoadGear functions already exist just a few modifications.

Some people just like to be the salt factories and vote no for some reason.

That would be nice, maybe make it a respawn timer so the person can't be harmed during the process. Like upon selecting the city to spawn in, have a black screen come up saying rearming and refitting weapons for duty or something like that.

yea it can keep you on the spawn island for example there are many ways to do it. All we need is the will. 

I don't really play cop a lot but when I do the most annoying thing for me is constantly dropping, seizing, rebuying gear.

Pretty good suggestion, very thought out and balanced, I'd push for what you suggested instead of removing any weapons from the APD (let's face it, they really do need it.)

So sine we are talking about saved loads outs and shit can we make so undercover get that saved loadout cause it's so anoying buying the MXM and when the server restarts the gun is gone unless you switch to one of the other cop slots and save the gun there and then after put the gun in the car and the go back to undercover and get the gun out the car. And one more thing PLEASE GIVE ME MY VERMIN BACK. I don't know why they removed it in the first place

i think that they should re-add the loadout save feature but instead of keeping the loadout that you save when you login as cop, You have to rebuy them so that it stops pd from gaining access from free guns/vests/ammo. Because as of right now we already get free guns and ammo.

yea we already have save load feature from before back in the day.

So you probably just need to add a few likes like:

fnc_loadGear;

if (gun = MK1) take $XXX money

If (gun = MX) take $XX money

If (gun = Sting) take $X money 

something like that and then

sleep 1 minute;

fnc_equipGear;

That would keep you at HQ for a little and get you the gear while you can browse porno sites or go to the toilet or get water whatever.
