One thing I will never understand is how people want anything to do with immersion removed. At what point does it stop? Why don't we remove all the trees, grass, plants, then structures, let's just have a flat map and play Team Deathmatch.

Don't go to where bells play? Or turn your volume off when they're ringing? This isn't CSGO or Call of Duty. The bells also don't play often.

Top 10 civilians downing cops: How about tops 10 cops downing civilians .trollface -
Why do the APDs look run down and dilapidated? Are there any buildings that don’t look like a POS that can be used? Any other assets other than H barriers and green walls? A tree is nice but the lack of shit it makes the PD look like a homeless shelter overrun by homeless people.

They're bound by policy via the guidebook. Cops are certainly not allowed to do whatever they want. If you believe a policy is being broken, report it to Internal Affairs. It seems as though the complaint might be the fact that there is currently no policy regarding the minigun boats.

Ifrits currently do not have any policy attached to them. They're normal armour, just like the armour rebels are allowed to use without policy. If policy is implemented on ifrits, does policy need to then be implemented on hunters and striders as well? If not, why? Ifrits have the same armour as hunters and striders. The only difference is the angle of the glass at the front. Confirmed by Fitz, ifrits have the same armour: So this is dependent on what you deem as a "higher-ranking officer." Permanent Corporal is given to Retired LTs/SGTs who meet a certain time requirement as an active staff member. Permanent Captain is given to Captains who meet certain time requirements as well. 2nd LT (in-game Lieutenant with no activity requirements, but no authority over voting) is typically given to admins after a certain period of time of being an admin if they're already some sort of staff rank prior to becoming an admin, although some rare cases have occurred where an active LT is given permanent 2nd LT as a gift for very long term service and dedication to the APD. Again, very rare. Permanent Sergeant I believe has only been given 2-3 times for the same occurrence as stated above with long term service and dedication to the APD. I don't know if I'm allowed to give you specific numbers so I won't, but what I can tell you is that the highest number of APD officers by rank is Corporal, by very far. For whitelisted cops, Corporals make up at least 60-70% of the force. Granted, this includes retired staff given the rank of permanent Corporal. What issue do you have with the amount of higher ranking officers? Typically it's mostly Cadet/Constable/Corporal online, with maybe a Sergeant. Very rarely do you see many Lieutenants+ online, and even then their arsenal is typically matched, or even lesser than the civilian counterparts at the time. Perhaps a better judgement on what kind of equipment needs to be used and when? We're always told the cops don't need to win every fight, but we don't. When we do win a fight it's because we either somehow have the numbers or it's a group that might be less experienced. Hah, I was part of the Captain team when parole was removed. I remember the reason it got removed was because it was abused way too much. People would turn themselves in only expecting parole, and when they didn't get it they would flip out. If parole was implemented, it would have to be a very rare case of someone RPing really well and having deserved it. It was always given out like candy because there was no reason not to give it out. The cops got the full bounty paid out, and the civilian basically got a free pardon. Even if the civilian broke parole it was only a $25k charge they could spend 5 minutes in jail for so it wasn't a big deal. It got to a point where a very highly wanted suspect would just get parole then break parole on purpose to get a smaller jail sentence. It would be cool if a suspect breaks parole it would add the charges they had before parole to them plus the broken parole charge. And it would be good if paroled players were tracked for the whole duration of parole instead of only if they broke parole. Just my thoughts on that. There's already a ratio for civs to cops. Are you suggesting that they make it more strict for cops? I'm not sure what the numbers are specifically but they're already pretty strict. A lot of the time, cops are getting ratioed already. There currently are no policies on lethal payouts. I'm assuming that you mean have it looked at to be implemented again. The problem with lethal payouts is that there's a lot of situations where cops need to kill civilians. There are some ideas that can be tossed around, for example: Pardon on Lethal If accidental in a fairly controlled situation Outside of federal events Don't Pardon on Lethal If in an active federal event If it is a large group outside of a federal event If unreachable (can't get to them in a reasonable amount of time, or getting to the suspect would cause me to be killed I'm not entirely sure what the issue is with not having lethal payouts, but if you could shed some light on that maybe it can be discussed further. The problem with lethal payouts is that there is less RP because there are typically less charges on suspects, but since Asylum has moved further away from an actual RP server to more of a very light RP server, I wouldn't cross it off as being a thing in the future. For drones, I know there was a small issue when they first came out as being overpowered because there were so many of them, but nowadays they're not really pulled out that often. There's also already policy around them, one big one being that the drone can't travel more than 7.5km away from the officer. Drones are also super weak too. You can shoot them down very easily if you do see one. What issue do you see with drones currently that needs to be addressed? Armed boats are only useful in very niche situations, namely Nikolai's when it was on the oil rig in the ocean. Now there's not really much of a use for them. Only Lieutenants+ can pull these anyways, so it's probably already fairly rare to see one unless a Lieutenant+ is online. Maybe some policy on when we can pull them? It is a 6.5mm minigun after all. The armed ghosthawk is strictly enforced with policy, as well as the Qilin minigun. So I'm going to admit I'm rather biased on this one, but I disagree. Again, most of the time it's Constables/Corporals around, and they don't have anything to counter armoured vehicle at all. Spike strips are the only tool they have available to them and even while being able to deploy them from a vehicle, they need to be timed correctly and precisely, sometimes at the cost of risking a VDM ban for getting too close to an armoured vehicle. I don't want to sound like a dick, but if armoured vehicles are getting spiked, just play smarter.

This is probably a big one especially if we want new players able to have a chance at getting a relatively decent house

Triage Expert Defibrillator cooldown is reduced to 4 minutes This prestige talent is useless because we do not have cooldowns on defibrillators anymore. Advanced Vehicles Access to unmarked SUVs, Hatchback (Sport), Vans and Tractors You already get these by default.
-
Possible rewards: Money Prestige Vehicles (sports hatchbacks, qilins, prowlers, helicopters) Spike Strips Flashbangs Fill in the rest with Y inventory stuff: redgulls, donuts, etc.
-
To incentivize (non-monetary) cops deploying the APD HQ Lockdown more often, here are some suggestions to make it a bit more enticing. When APD HQ Lockdown is deployed, close all checkpoint gates and lock them. Rebels must unlock the gate (similar to the Federal Reserve) to enter. Deploy SWAT at random strategical locations around the HQ (in a deer stand, in a tower, etc)
-
Add a "Repair All" button to refuel/repair all vehicles in your garage. Possibly add a convenience tax?
-
That would be a balancing discussion between the APD Captains and perhaps the CMs. My suggestion is just to have it on the map. To add on, ideally just a map marker for the cops. I would think if civilians were intended to see where the mobile HQ is then it would have been addressed/added by now.
-
Allow cops to be able to search a vehicle for a speed bomb or remote explosive if they're planted on a vehicle. Perhaps potentially disarm it as well, maybe with an item or a long load bar.
-
Currently when you upgrade or repair a vehicle, it closes the vehicle menu. Instead of closing the vehicle menu, make it go back to your garage menu.
-
Allow cops to access the Y inventory of other cops' vehicles. If there's even one lockpick in the car we can't impound the car, we have to drive it all the way back to HQ and seize it. Would be helpful if we could just take the lockpicks out to be able to impound, but we can't if it's another officer's car.
-
Please have the APD Mobile HQ be automatically marked on the map for cops when deployed.

Just to follow up on the issue, how have you noticed drone use since you made the post? As I said previously, they were a new hot item to use, but I haven't noticed them being used as much recently.
-
Good way to start out a suggestion post. I've heard a lot of complaints about not enough housing. The problem might just be solved by decreasing the home insurance protection. Decrease the price, decrease the time it gives. Make the fuckers log in to buy home insurance more often. It was a problem way back in the day that people would only log in to keep their houses active. I don't think adding more houses would be the solution. If everyone on the server was able to just go buy a house there would be no market for them.

They're new, they're cool. In a week or two you'll never see them again.
-
I'll expand on this part a bit. I know I've pulled a drone a couple times and I go to have it follow one of my officers in pursuit of something, and they end up dying so the drone just stops and then I get side tracked and don't end up re-tracking the drone so it just stays stationary. I can guarantee you that nobody is using drones to patrol illegal areas. It may look like it at times with the above situation I mentioned, but it's just not happening. Nobody is sitting on their drones looking down with the turret at illegal areas. We could probably take better steps to make sure they're not stopped near redzones when the drones aren't in use. If you do ever find that there are drones above the red zone you're at and cops end up strolling in, record it and report it for sure in Internal Affairs.

Kavala. I'm confused as to why this is even debated. Athira is way too small to be a main city. I understand that it's centralized, but activities can be balanced around how far away from Kavala they are.
