  1. Basing weapons on arma on the real world just doesnt work for asylum. Add to that that bohemia has a less than stellar record for implementing ballistics properly and it leads to a situation where some guns would just be completely useless. If they make the ak too cheap the 6.5s and smaller will never get used. After playing around with them in editor the 7.62x39 that the ak uses just hits harder at distance than the 6.5s despite the fact that 6.5 should be a flatter shooting round that retains good KE. Maybe the akm/ak74u just because they cant have sights attatched but the ak12 with scopes and that 2 round burst is a nasty gun to go up against.
  2. Just an update on this that it is still not working on any player. We tried with multiple officers on multiple people this morning and like they said just ***searching....*** Cant say on altis for sure but know for a fact its an issue on tanoa. EDIT: This was as of like 5 hours ago. Cant say since then.
  3. +1. Higher cop requirement and longer drill times and I'm all for raising the payout and just getting rid of the hacking thing. Especially since it doesn't work at the moment and people just wait for snakes/rabbits to open them anyway.
  4. I actually agree with you on most of your ideas regarding the fed I only see one problem. Raising the cap alone is not a bad idea if you're clearing the whole fed. But how do you raise the payout while also decreasing smash and grab hits on the fed? I think there needs to be another system in place as well other than just number requirements. You shouldnt be able to clear 1 dome and get 100k in like 5 minutes.
  5. No. Bank is HEAVILY rebel favored in its current state on altis. The risk is minimal and it's payout should reflect that. If you lose the bank as it stands someone in your crew did something wrong. I will agree that feds should get a boost but not sure the best way to go about it that won't just increase smash and grabs.

  7. After playing with this patch I have to say, my feelings on it are very similar to my feelings on Australia. It was an awesome idea that just missed its mark. Bounty hunters have been in need of some TLC for a long time. That said, they should not be APD without rules which is what this patch did. I feel like this patch did have some good points though, like adding groups for bounty hunters. Bounty hunters also were in desperate need of scopes. Where this patch misses its mark is with the weapons themselves as I feel giving bounty hunters 6.5s is a bad thing for cops and rebels alike. For cops, bounty hunters were not usually a major problem pre-patch. With numbers they could be somewhat of a nuisance at times but they were limited by short range optics, a 5.56 rifle that was expensive that they did not want to lose, and a desire not to be sent straight to jail if they stepped out of line. Now we are dealing with bounty hunters who have more numbers than us, who are equally if not better armed, and who will only face minor consequences when found doing the same things as the rebels they are chasing. Add to that, the ability to group with rebels has caused hell on APD.. Now we are both outgunned (7.62s) but we can be taken out of the fight for long periods of time and are easy for those armed with non-downing bullets to pick off when we get up. Where I really feel like this patch misses its mark is actually for the rebels. By giving bounty hunters 6.5s, scopes, and the ability to group this patch has essentially created APD without any number constraints or rules aside from initiation. They can go to cartels and camp rdm zones, which APD cant. They can also track their bounties which is limited to a select few slots for corporal+ on APD which really turns the odds in favor of bounty hunters winning most fights against rebels. Also, giving them the ability to add jail time I feel is a mistake. That option is not even available to the highest ranks of APD and should not be implemented without limits. As for the hunters I actually dont find them to be that OP other than they cannot be seized despite the bounty hunters using them for illegal activities. They are expensive which I actually feel is one thing this patch did okay on. TL:DR - Patch had the right idea, but giving BH the ability to group effectively, scopes, and 6.5 rifles is a perfect storm that is about to rain hell on cops and rebels alike.
  8. What more do rebels need? They already have thet 7.62 rifles, the ifrit (best armor compared to hunter/strider), carrier lites, orcas (only sgts and undercover in apd get them), and 50 cal pickups. How much more OP does rebel have to get before people will be satisfied?
  9. HA! Why do you think apd gets medic talents? Because we have to revive our own. Medics almost never respond and when they do.....15km away.
  10. It creates distance. You see how he took a step back before using it? The guy with the camera came there looking to cause a confrontation. They told him the rules and he tried to push past them anyways. Rather than fight with the guy and risk getting hit, kicked, bit, etc the cameraman got a 5 second ride of electricity induced compliance.

  12. +1 for bringing at least full moon night back. Agree with the others here though about no fog and I care about weather more than the night itself. Although i do miss tracers flying through the air at night. It brought an interesting dynamic to firefights.
  13. Dont know how this hasnt got more traction. I think the idea of a bank for s6 is a great idea. Not exactly sure of the time/money amounts but the idea itself is great. This building seems better balanced in a risk/reward aspect than the big white building the just ends up being a roof sniper battle.

  15. I just meant for the RP mostly. Hell once you hit prestige in general money becomes a non issue for most people much less at the 10mil mark.
  16. You should charge a little bit more and include a quick flight lesson that way you wont lose as many jets. This is actually a really cool idea for an in game company. Maybe even have a tiered pricing that could include tours and or mock dog fights.

  18. The ones he linked have videos. They appear to have decent recoil. I actually somewhat like that asylum doesnt have zeroing. Makes longer shots actually difficult. Dont understand why we cant have bipods though. Bipods are a trade off for anyone that uses them. On the one hand they offer a stable shooting platform at the cost of leaving you exposed trying to shoot over ledges, windows, etc.
  19. Cant argue with that. They went too far trying to make everything futuristic. Just give us current day stuff and not the bastardized versions of them. Also armed conflict without AKs just aint gonna happen any time in the near future.
  20. m2010 is cool. We already have the MX though which is basically an acr without the curved mags.
  21. AKS47 and m4 pls *crosses fingers* Arma 3 is fun but the weapons are so meh. Also bolt action .308s so we can have a legal "hunting" rifle that isnt OP like the 408.
  22. This is why APD needs tear gas. (Side note has tear gas ever been implemented on asylum? Know we had for a while way back on blackwing just coded to a certain color smoke).
