Main difference is that laser tag requires other people to play it whereas this you can do it by yourself and complete with others through a scoreboard or with 1 other person by betting which is a lot easier to do than get enough people for a decent match of laser tag.

Yeah the NPCs and vehicles will despawn after a while. Either after the event is finished or if the event goes untouched for 5-20 mins.

I've been working on a random vehicle crash event and have made the bare bones of it and was wondering what everyone's opinion on it is. Its mostly for police and medics to go and clean up the wrecked vehicles and tend to the injuries of the passenger(s) for a monetary reward. There could possible be a civ/rebel function for it too. If a civ/rebel rolls up on a crash site they could possibly repair and lock pick the vehicle to either chop it or use it. Only police and medics would be notified of the crash though so it would be hard for a civ/rebel to find one. The way this works is it picks a random location on the map, finds the nearest road, makes sure there is no player near the spot so the player doesn't crash into it, selects a random crash scene template and then notifies police and medics. Just thought this would add a little content to medics and police (possibly civs/rebels). Current Feature List: - Animated NPCs around crash site (Probably need to work on this a bit more) - Damaged vehicles - Treated injured occupants of the vehicles - Repair vehicles - Ability to copy NPCs and Vehicles placed into EDEN editor for crash scene templates - Notify police/medics of crash - Impound Vehicles Planned Features: - NPCs that can bleed out - Once crash site is cleaned up medics/cops are paid that were at scene: - Increase payment based on: - Initial distance from crash site - Time it takes to clean up crash site - If vehicles were repaired prior to impound - If you saved a NPC that was bleeding out - Crash scenes with HEMMTs or other vehicles that have virtual inventory/actual inventory that can be robbed by Civs/Rebels - OnStar headquarters that has a terminal that can be hacked to let all civilians know when a crash occurs - Police capability to restore the terminal to remove civ access. It can be disabled while a prison break is active. Did that used to happen when laser tag was there (I don't know if laser tag is gone or not).

If you're wanting to work the road then going to a municipality and just applying is the best way. Here where I got hired they would make a roster based off a physical test, written test, two interviews, and various other things (including degree, military/law enforcement experience, POST certified, etc.). Each one of those things would give your more points. If you don't make the cut and are still really wanting to do it then the absolute best thing you can do is send yourself through the police academy to get POST certified. LE agencies love POST certified people.

Yeah it's not the prettiest thing. I made it just for testing and not looks. Plus it doesn't look any worse than laser tag did.

Thought this might be something fun for prisoners to do while they are serving their punishments in the finest prison on the world. The layout/design doesn't have to be how this is it can be different. This is just a demonstration of the code and how it works. Right now the targets are random between being a bad guy and a civilian. An Idea I had for it was that two prisoners could make a bet to who could finish it faster and with the most correct shooting (not shooting civilians and actually shooting all the baddies) would win. If two players did make a bet they would get the same targets at the same spot that way one course wouldn't be easier than the other. There could also be a static course with a leader board with the top finish times. In the bottom left of the video is shows how long it took in seconds and how many of each target you shot.

Unfortunately when I finally got contributor I got busy with work and other things outside of video games. So I have mostly been useless. I have been dedicating a little bit more of my time to gaming again here recently so I will probably start tinkering around with coding on arma again. I did make a rough draft of where individual charges could be removed. I think that was possibly being considered being added. Will need to talk with @bamf and @Gnashes about it again though. I did send @Gnashes code to add emergency lights to the prowler for cops about a month ago though haha. Don't know why they weren't added.

I like to use it cause it holds all 911 messages since restart. That way I can catch them filthy liars that say they have sent a 911 message but really haven't.

I wouldn't even call the market dynamic. It can't go up past a certain amount it can only go down which is the biggest flaw in it. Its nice in theory but they needed to make ways where the prices could also go up but if that was done it could probably be exploited. So unless that can be done the market should honestly be reverted.

Basically what everyone has already replied to you about him not actually wanting or getting contributors. I reached out to him about becoming one and the message was looked at but ignored. Sure the only things I have implemented was the police light changes, but I could definitely do more. That's just one example of doing more. Considering I have a degree in software engineering I could basically do about anything. I've been part of APD senior staff for basically 3 years and have never received any disciplinary action or server bans. Yet I don't even get a reply about contributor.

Kk. Also if you would rather just spend 20 minutes in prison than RP then it sounds like you are the problem. Doesn't sound like you actually like to RP and that what you actually like to do is just talk for a few minutes, get a reduced ticket and then go back out and commit more crimes. That sounds boring and lame as fuck. If you deserve to lose that stuff then you deserve to lose it.
