Running for a promotion I see.
On topic: It's on the players to learn the basics - not you as a cop to teach them. If you can tell they are new then, by all means, go easy on them but I wouldn't go out of my way to fund someone who will be in Kavala in 30 minutes pistol banging people. Also, I wouldn't break role-play to help a newer person out.

In class, we were watching it live up until the collapse and the teacher shut the TV off. My town's EMS sent an ALS rig down to NYC to help cover calls shortly after.

Obviously would not incriminate myself by uploading a video exploiting. I asked prior to this to multiple moderators/admins and the concencus was that you cannot 'meat shield' as an APD officer, beacuse police cuffs do not allow the player in the cuffs to be damaged in any way, ultimately giving you a person an invincible shield. In this case, I am playing as a civilian who put the person in generic restraints that down/kill the person when they are shot at.
Maybe you should read the APD guildbook @Tony., ...... but that's none of my business.

And Bamf has just become a co-owner of Asylum with Paratus. It's finally time; all the hard work, sweat, and some tears, Bamf has finally landed a major position as co-lead developer for Asylum. Paratus' is promising big things, the adrenaline is getting to him as he now has someone to help him develop this RP server, and to Bamf. It starts off well for Bamf. He's active with the community talking about changes to ban policies, updating the community on the massive BE kicks, says they plan to work on fixing this. He even breaks it down, gives numbers/insight to the problem until he realizes nothing he has done has mattered. Bohemia make the mistake of saying "it's us, not you" and that's when it starts to go downhill....
Gnashes appears out of nowhere, right beside Bamf's side, "the problem isn't on us, it's Bohemia's fuckup" becomes his go-to line very quickly. He becomes the Sam to Bamf's Frodo willing to help carry the burden of this community. BIS has said they found a fix for the BE kicks, but it fails. Bamf scrambles to Server 4 with its more downtime than uptime, trying his hardest to fix the issues. Gnashes continues to talk about his 60 hour work weeks and why there hasn't been an update for a month or more. Bamf claims he found the solution, remove Server 2, move the S4 information to 2, and that'll solve it. Gnashes gains an extra 50lbs licking up the salt of all the S2 people. Bamf has to scramble frantically to calm the situation... There's talks of an update coming soon.....
But as all good stories go, a simple talent tree for rebels would be too easy. Instead, let's rework how the illegal drug areas work first. Did you spend 800k - 1mil on that 3 crate meth house? that's cute, because fuck you. To add with the RNG of our lootcrate boxes, we wanted to throw some more randomness in there and rework the drug fields. Heroin, coke, and meth all now rotate! And not only that, whenever you're logged in, there's a 100% guarantee it won't be on your side! And server just restarted, so feel free to check back in 3hours from now. The walls of Asylum begin to crumble. People begin to ramble about the recent changes, the constant lag and desync. Talks of another RolePlay Island start to become more than just whispers. People begin to question their allegiance to Asylum, wondering "what's it all for?"
Then it hits. The news. Rebel. Talent. Tree. It gets announced that it's being worked on. People begin to spam their POGGERS and hope arises. The news of a RBT being worked on spreads far and wide, calling back people who left the world of Asylum to return home. Could this really be it? Could this be true? "Be patient" "stay calm" "it's coming soon" "it's coming September 5" () are on repeat by devs and admins alike. The playerbase begin to grow weary as time moves on with no updates, people are beginning to get skeptical once again... There is only one question that remains...
@Poseidon have you come to save us, or have you doomed us all?

Asylum Devs = inactive = pop dying
Olympus Devs = Active = pop growing
staff are generally shit on all servers because they do it for free and it generally attracts megalomaniacs, on all servers it really comes down to the devs and owners putting in the work and passion.

The beauty of it is that I prefer this type of lite RP, I can play regularly and also build a story on the forums. The harder rp servers are a lot more uptight about everything else to make it fun. I appreciate the feedback, its not much work, mostly just trying to write this in a newsy sounding format , other than that i enjoy the shit out of it

Ghosthawks aren’t pulled much there and are discouraged from just being used unnecessarily plus they’re Sgt+ only. But civs can also get them at blackwater plus a lot more. Defibs aren’t really a necessity either as medics actually do their job there because they’re whitelisted. For cartels, search & rescue can drop dope crates which I do often when I’m playing medic over there.
The hardest thing for me to adjust to when I first started playing over there was the 15 min NLR since I was used to going right back to the fight on Asylum. But even NLR has its pros as it lets you steal people’s stuff after you wipe them and their friends without worry of them coming back instantly. Plus as I said, if you’re not watching their bodies, a whitelisted medic will roll in quietly and revive them (I do this a lot and it’s pretty hilarious).
As of now, Olympus is much better run than Asylum and personally I have more fun there. One downside is the median age seems to be lower there so you get a lot of edgy kids there.

There's other reasons, at least for my self. There's no defibs on there, epi pens don't cut it for me. Cops have ghosthawks that have ammo, while civs have titans to counter them. I believe both of those are just unnecessary. There's a few other things keeping me from playing Olympus but I assure you it's not that I would have to start over.

Bank Of Altis Pyrgos Branch Unprotected?
A slew of bank robberies has the residents of Pyrgos on edge, Ivan Y. brings us a hair raising story about the state of the town's bank
This week the bank of Altis Pyrgos branch has been robbed at gun point an alarming amount of times leaving the residents of Pyrgos to consider keeping their money elsewhere. The Altis Police Department has been stretched so thin that some robberies go unhindered and others end in bloodshed with the perpetrators making off with over one million Altis pesos in the course of one week. residents have expressed concern over this due to the increasing amount of collateral and property damage in the area. Government officials in Pyrgos have had talks of meeting with the Altis Police Department to discuss better ways to protect the bank . This week they will try and meet in Kavala where the Police Department's headquarters is located, we will bring you more on this later in the week.

Local Fisherman turned chemist has run in with APD
In a weird and wacky turn of events a local fisherman who goes by the name of Augustino Sierra had a run in with law enforcement officers in the Illegal zones near Pyrgos, officials say.
According to the police report Mr.Sierra was apprehended after trying to flee the scene. The officers arrived due to a call from a local citizen stating there was some suspicious activity in the zone. When apprehended and asked what Mr.Sierra was doing at the location Mr.Sierra responded with "I was called to repair and tow a broken vehicle" Officers found the statement suspicious and determined the vehicle was indeed Mr.Sierra's , law enforcement officials reviewed the suspects record and deduced that he was neither a threat to the city of Pyrgos and did not have enough information to make a determination on whether or not to arrest the suspect. He was given a fine and probation due to his successful work with the Pyrgos Safety Group. Police officials declined to comment.

Real Estate market showing signs of revival
Last week we ran a story about the Real estate market revival in the area in and around Pyrgos. After the story was ran citizens flocked to the town to purchase the remaining properties in Pyrgos. Pyrgos News network took a look at the number of homes available for purchase directly from the bank and noticed that only a few remained , with the remainder of the homes being listed or sold by individuals , this caused an increase in the cost to purchase a home in the area. The local government has declared that Pyrgos is now becoming the go to place to retire. We will continue to review the market and keep our readers up to date with this.

A once sluggish economy shows signs of strengthening
Pyrgos , a town who a fews weeks ago had few residents and even fewer business men has shown a dramatic increase in vehicular and foot traffic, the local shop owners have told PNN that their sales have grown since the new residents and PNN established their base in town. some residents have even opened new businesses such as Mother Russia Taxi, Sierra's Spirits, and Yerkinov Estates. these prominent members of the town have purchased large swaths of real estate and have provided a much needed bump to the local economy.

    No women in Altis?
This article will dive into the reasons, recommendations and stories as to why not many women migrate to Altis, causing a dramatic decrease in new births and homosexual activity. A once happy town was devastated when they learned of the counter vagina culture in Altis, with some criminal enterprises kidnapping , killing , and even threatening to rape fellow female residents. once such resident spent over a week establishing herself to the move out of the Asylum due to excessive harassment and verbal abuse from the opposite sex. This culture has been ingrained in the minds of the country's social economics.  In one interaction as a gang member was arrested, he was heard yelling things like " I will rape you" "you're a whore" and even worst. PNN condemns this sort of behavior and will pursue all violators with the full extent of its capabilities. We as humans can be very insensitive, however these matters are not to be joked with and EVERYONE should be respected, with the APD already spread too thin , is it too late to change things? more on this story  next week.

    Honorable Mentions

The PNN usually mentions honorable citizens in this part of our newsletter. However we have had little to no participation from out citizens in reporting news or stories to our Network. This week unfortunately there are few to be mentioned. We do , however , want to take the time to thank all of the Police officers who put their lives on the line to protect our cities and homes. The APD is always Hiring and we urge citizens who are ethical in character to apply and help enforce the laws throughout the lands.
