  1. I’ve gotten the ratio message several times. While I do want people to play the server, the ratio is in place for a reason. I am against removing the ratio unless common ground can be found, but you have to look at the big picture. If the cops curb stomp the civs because it’s 15v5….. those civs will likely decide to get off for the night losing 5 civs… I don’t know about you but that isn’t a “fix” that is good in my opinion. Ratio sucks, but at the end of the day it is there for a reason
  2. Coming from a historically career cop.... If you are going to allow the APD to neutralize cartels.... Limit it to one cartel. The APD should NOT be allowed to take all the fun out of rebel play. The APD is for RP as well as to give the rebels a natural enemy. Do not ruin this for the rebels by allowing the APD to neutralize multiple cartels (currently 3/4 are neutralized as I type this). I am all for the update, but don't ruin this for rebels
  3. I have more to add on the reimplementation of parole: I think parole should "start" as a SGT+ ability with the potential to be added to either Corp+ or Constable+ if it rolls out well. I suggest lowering the payout given from giving someone parole with a requirement of a bounty over $50,000 (number for reference only, subject to change based on opinions). RP would be REQUIRED, the civ would NEED to RP their charges. The reason I think parole is a vital implementation is APD aside, it promotes a healthy environment for the server. When people obtain parole, they are less likely to sit idle in prison while watching a show. More people playing means more interaction which adds more purpose and fun to the game. @Bilbo Baggins See my notes above on why this would bring positive change to the health of the server and be something good for the APD as it reimplements the content from the past.
  4. I would argue a 4th house slot (not shed) as the default setting, put prestige towards something else
  5. The promise of a year is irrelevant as they haven't owned it that long. Were they involved prior to ownership? Yes, but it is hard to want to do anything about it when there is no benefit to them prior to ownership. Now that they have financial stake, they seem to be taking things more seriously than before. If they said they will look into it (assuming this was said after the ownership swap), then I say give them time. They did change a fair amount when the server was down. As much as the commuinity wanted? No, but this also is not their primary job, this is slightly more than a hobby to them given they now have financial stake, but they all still have day-jobs which obviously have and should have more priority than an old gaming community. While they did new updates for civilians and cops, refer to what I said earlier. The AFD is and always will be the last priority, thats just the way the cookie crumbles given the population of the medic faction versus the other factions. I am not saying don't be upset that the medic faction needs some attention and hasn't got any. All things considered the medic faction used to be an unwhitelisted and untouched faction for the longest time (also because it wasn't super popular). At the end of the day, I agree the medic faction needs updates, but don't get so bent out of shape about it when they represent the smallest faction and always will.
  6. While I agree that they likely won't code in indestructible vehicles for the medic faction and the ability to place barricades is a viable option, saying the Owners and Devs do not care about the medic faction is a false statement. They simply need to cater to the main faction (civ faction). The medic faction is the lowest populated faction. I would like to see updates for the medic faction, but I am also understanding that the many outway the wants of the few. In all honesty, the Owners really haven't had ownership all that long, but they are showing promise, if not it great strides they are doing so one small step at a time, but that is more than the players have gotten in the last couple of years.
  7. I personally haven't ran into the issue of people stopping me from putting out a fire, but if this is an issue for the many, I could see an option to: Report for Firefighter Duties->Select Fire (Option 1-5, or however many fires there are)-> Respond to fire of choice. As for the fire extinguisher? I agree, but I do not see a reason to make it pricey. I would simply suggest adding the fire extinguisher in as a default or optional thing at no cost. Forcing people to wait for a revive I have mixed feelings about... Honestly, MOST of the time they do not respawn, they are simply getting revived by the APD/gang mate. For the situations where someone does not get revived, but simply respawns (which I assume is very few), you could charge them x amount for respawning and not waiting for a AFD Medic revive, but ultimately I do not think people will want this. It is hard to incentivize interaction with the AFD, at the end of the day Asylum is (and historically always has been) a light-RP server. I do think more RP is better personally, but some people like RP just in a smaller scale when they want a break from cartels etc. I can't speak for the big gangs, but this is just my assumption. I would also like to see more AFD interaction, I just don't know how it would best be implemented. I would like to see yours, as well as others suggestions to this.
  8. Personally, I am not a fan of the suggestion, but if this is the route people want to go, I could support it with changes. 5 minutes is entirely too often. This should be a "last resort" if it was to be implemented. I would suggest once every 30 minutes, otherwise this WILL be abused by people just simply to be annoying. Cops already drive around to drug fields and towns, so this would not really change gameplay all that much. I am open to more opinions on how it would work, but there definitely needs to be a timer of 30 minutes at the least.
  9. Cops do not need a fuel truck. Most cops already carry a fuel can, which is just enough for a helicopter to get to a gas station, or for a car to travel a long distance. Cops can already help refill players vehicles. Not need to pay cops, they make enough. Cops can RP their own prices if they really want. Technically someone can send a text notification to EMS if they want to ask for fuel assistance, no need to make a specific dispatch for it as it just make it appear like clutter. The sky is already the limit as far as RP is concerned, albeit it depends on if the person wants to RP and if they do, how in depth they want to take the RP.
  10. I saw a lot of abuse with parole and obviously policies only stop those conscious of what they are doing from abusing it and not the real problem of people who aren't realizing how much they are doing it or people who don't care. I think if possible it would be nice to add parole back but maybe only allow one use per officer per restart. This would gatekeep overuse, maybe not abuse, but at least overuse... Maybe start with Sgt+? Look at how it all pans out and either remove it again, keep it to Sgt+, or if successful, add it to Corp+ and so on and so forth? Just my two cents, but I am interested in seeing how others view this or how they would suggest keeping it as a "rare" event that takes good RP and isnt overused.
  11. A leaderboard is a leaderboard, nobody can really use 10m in one go unless you are talking about housing, which I believe was set at a cap of 10m anyway. If they want to see the numbers go up it does the same thing. My guess is they plan to actually do something with the prestige. Yes, forcing people to spend their money. I don't see this making people leave, it is too early to tell as it has only been a few days since the server reopened, but thus far the population is looking good considering the age of the game and the active population on the game, as well as MOST people are playing for mil-sim not RP servers... As seen above, we are currently rank #19 out of all servers on A3. Should the owners/devs/contributors still strive for better? Absolutely. But given all these variables and we still have roughly 1% of ALL A3 players, and we have since the server released (I have been paying attention). So again, it is too early to tell, but so far so good in my opinion. I think the patch notes were acceptable. Life changing? Maybe not, but a win is a win either way. Your post just proves my point on level headed responses vs not (yours). If you think all I do is antagonize you are free to think that, but I would like to think most do not have that opinion of me. Whatever floats your boat though.
  12. I did see a solid population of 90+ Saturday night, but I understand your point. While the community was/is in a difficult spot and a lot can be blamed on past ownership or lack-their-of.... We have to realize the game is old as shit. We are all here for RP yes, but we are all here for the combat aspect too. A3 RP/combat doesn't even compare to FiveM, in both ways. Asylum in itself is more of a light RP, yet still RP. But the combat's are NOTHING alike. Now back to the point... I "think" (personally anyway) that the intention of making a money cap was to force people to spend it, otherwise they can bank it into prestige. There could still be a leaderboard for prestige gained instead of overall money satisfying the people who like to see the numbers increase. Do I think ever 10m prestige should equal a 1m money cap in bank? No. I can see both sides, but I think it would be fair to meet in the middle by: creating a prestige scoreboard, reduce the levels of prestige to a different amount say every 5m prestige is 1m added to bank (throwing a random number out there don't gather your pichforks and torches), and maybe a way to withdraw prestige but maybe a 2 prestige to 1 dollar ratio or something similiar if someone was draining their bank account. I am willing to listen to opinions and have a reasonable convesation of why or why something won't work. I am even willing to admit that I may be wrong, but I am still willing to have that conversation. PS: I appreciate the thoughtful reply from you, unlike some people who simply cry and bitch. Clearly you feel strongly about this, but you are keeping a level head about it.
  13. Yeah because load-outs are so expensive you will blow through that 10m sooooo fast. Might as well cry on the forums about how fast all those load-outs will take you. I’m tired of everyone crying about how 10m isn’t enough. It’s more than plenty to buy whatever you want
  14. Given that the ENTIRE game's population is this low on a weekend night and the game is 11 years old.... I think paying an outrageous amount of money for a streamer is a lost cause... In my opinion, the best thing they can do is keep the servers on life support until A4, which is ages away
  15. Looking forward to jumping back on the server. These patch notes are looking great and are a huge step in the right direction.
