The servers have only gotten worse. It's nearly impossible to play on the servers if there are more than 60 players connected. I haven't been able to enjoy my playing experience these past few weeks because of the lag and instability.
The BattlEye kicks are rampant and constant. Asylum is gradually losing players. It's just the truth. People don't want to play unstable servers; many are going to leave to other Altis Life communities.
This idea of holding ourselves back and blaming Bohemia is completely stupid. It doesn't help at all to blame Arma for dying out, either. This is a community, and it's going to fall apart because nothing is being fixed. I really love this community, but it is not going to hold together for much longer if this continues. I don't want to see Asylum die out. Is it really Bohemia's fault, or is it Asylum's development at fault?
Why have we not changed server hosts/server hardware temporarily, just to test? Why are we blaming Bohemia and the falling player count of Arma instead of attempting to fix the problem? Do other competing Altis Life servers have the same issue?
The servers literally cannot handle more than 60 players at once without severe lag or BattlEye kicks. Is there a possible source to these issues, such as inefficient scripts or lack of server resources? Why don't we try getting rid of useless scripts that only hog server resources, such as the rally races? Bringing the server count from 4 to 2 does not seem to help either; it's just congregating more players into a smaller space, creating more kicks and dissatisfaction among the community.
What do you guys think? We need to get together as a community and bring Asylum back to its former glory, else it will just fall apart from here. I am not trying to criticize the staff team or development team of Asylum, and I am not trying to point fingers, either; I am simply bringing up my concerns for the community because I care about it. I appreciate the efforts of everyone, but we need to start doing something as a community before it is too late.

I'm going to test something on S4 as I bring it back up.  I'll be clearing all current gang wars.  Please make sure to re-declare wars on S4 if you want to continue them.

We are currently running some tests on the hardware of server 4, which is why it is currently down.  I hope to have it back up shortly.
    Thanks,

It doesn't matter how many lines of code there are. It matters how efficient the code is. As pointed out by a developer someone was talking about in another thread, the cartel script is absolutely horrific. We need trial and error to at least see what helps lessen the lag. If nothing is tried, then nothing will get done.

Server 2/3 come up in the evening usually now..but don't hold your breath because server lag is making asylum unplayable.

It may only be 100 lines of code, but something lags the shit out of the server when people do cartels. It's reported A LOT. SO you may not think it, but it still could be an issue. Without testing, no one will now, so what's the harm of removing it for 24 hours to see if it helps? Stop being a fucking negative nancy and poo pooing anything. The community is looking for ways to fix the server as we are ALL getting sick of the lag.

I've been playing on Asylum since April, so I can't really speak for what it was like longer ago when the kicks actually started... but I feel it is much, much worse now with the kicks than ever before. The servers now require constant restarts, as @JaxxonMurphy brought up. It was never like this since I started playing in April. The servers were always full; I would have to spam connect to join any Asylum server. I never recall the servers being this bad in April and May of this year. So, I'm assuming the servers are worse than before and may finally bring Asylum to its demise if the development keeps delaying things and being hardheaded.

Not going to name the competitor but i played on a different server yesterday with 110 people on it and not a single bit of lag.

The problem now, being that the servers are unplayable, as they were not before.

Every suggestion that has been made is always another excuse or its BE not us.
This really is getting to the point of I don't know how much longer people will play. I'm a patient person.. and I'm starting to think starting over on another server that doesn't have the majority of these issues is worth it.. When you log in and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. or retry or get in and lag just makes you stand around until it clears up.. that's not worth my time..
Something needs to be done... shit's getting ridiculous at this point.
Wednesday - server reboot happened, great we're good.. 15 minutes later @Rodrigo restarted the server.. within 20 minutes of that restart I had to reach out to him again because the server was shitting itself..

in b4 we don't have time, or this isn't the issue, or more excuses are made.

Remove hunting grounds for time being(seems animals spawn in like crazy even if you are in a vehicle); could be a reason server lag is happening with the amount of animals that spawn in at once / time. Fix/Tweak cartel dirty money spawning in fridge(saw a few people mention cartel fridge money spawning in may be another server lag related thing) Reduce player cap to 80 players (this has been mentioned before; but frankly if we don't start trial/error this community will be dead within a month of its current state) Change server hosting (again this has been mentioned before; but we need to stop being hard headed about shit & actually look into shit, its not a coincidence that Olympus has more features and a higher player cap, and runs with 30-40 more avg fps + no server lag in massive fire fights) Gold bars in fed/bank? Is there any chance the way they are spawning in is causing massive server lag? Housing crates? If xx amount of people log on every server restart to show their crates ; is this too much for the server to handle / keep up with? Cartel redzones? Possibly remove cartels in all for 24 hours ? See if server lag is gone or not? Not like people fight for them anyways with this server lag.
If it really is a "Bohemia Bug/Problem" then you need to figure out what the fuck with them, because as it stands... Stability>Unstability.
If store A has the specific type of chips I want and store B says we don't have them because the company we order from never delivers them, where you think I'm going to shop at?
Shitty comparison, but its time to start making things happen & these are JUST SUGGESTIONS. Obviously I'm not a server developer, but trial and error vs nothing at all is better than nothing.

Kicking a dead horse at this point, but something is definitely going wrong. The fact majority of the people I've spoken to have actually given up on Asylum for the time being to go to Olympus because its impossible to make any money without the server killing itself is becoming too much. At first it seemed like cartels were the primary cause of server lag, then banks / feds & now I don't even know other than the server hosting or something going wrong in some sort of script that keeps running causing the server to run out of memory ? Maybe the boxes are just kicking the dust? All I'm saying is at this point people don't care about updates or anything because updates don't matter when the servers are actually unplayable ; as we speak I'm filling out a comp request, I believe my third one inside two days with attempting to make money , but it going up in smoke because the servers decide to crash randomly. The report I'm filling out as we speak (uploading youtube video) is purely server lag, we lost one hemmt of meth to "desync" from a vehicle 2km away, the server was on a steady solid yellow chain for roughly 30 minutes prior to me messaging an admin to force restart, upon doing so it throwing the other 3 of us in hemmts full of meth from methlab all the way back to hydrogen fields (north meth lab above athira) with our hemmts despawned, not to mention the server was fully locked up we had 4 other people disconnect because of the lag yet we remained seeing them in Ephedra field until the force restart. Granted this is one instance that I'm mentioning now, but here's a couple other of things to look into, and no shade nor disrespect is intended, but right now Olympus offers something asylum doesn't; stability. Asylum has everything better than Olympus, but what are you supposed to do when you can't make any money , or fight, or pull an ifrit to attempt to push a cartel , or an orca to pick up your people, all of which constantly cause people to lose their shit with no way of replacing it because its "near" impossible to even run money in its current state. We can only imagine what newer people we want to keep to these servers are thinking, "YES! I finally can afford a hemmt box truck after I sell all these processed diamonds!" *No message recieved; Logs back in ; Everythings gone - time wasted* "WTF! Fuck this server!" So if we can't maintain to keep our veteran players who I feel like are the main backbones of this community nor can we keep newer players who will help rebuild what Asylum once was, then whats going to happen? It can only lead us to speculate that its potentially intentional or there's some serious internal issues going on within the dev/admin team.

We need to start being herd , we need to start digging and figuring out what exactly is going on to continously cause server crashes and instability. If new server hosting (as much as y'all swear up and down its not it, whats it hurt to try) is out of the question purely of expenses , put up a fundraiser / goal; I can am almost positive if you said this is a strong possibility of fixing whats going on , we would come together as a community to start patching up the shitstorm thats brewing into the final blow of Asylum.
P.S : I know you all have lives as well as holidays right now but we seriously need to start getting things going in the right direction to save this community.
