    On topic... sorry, but it sounds like such a bad idea it made me cringe, -1. Cartels should never work like turfs as a cartel and a turf are two very different things. The nonstop fights at cartels are what make them so iconic and well... cartelly. Turfs are much more worth while to hold right now than cartels and changing a cartel into a different kind of turf is not the way to put them back on top.
    Like dev said, the only way to fix cartels is for there to be more incentive to hold them, and Paratus did pretty much the opposite with the fortifications thing. There really needs to be something that puts it up there, like a good change in location or a different reason to hold them, because I remember back when you got real physical MONEY for Arms/Drug that went directly into your bank, it was way more common to see long, drawn out fights not for solely fighting another gang to prove your better (although kind of), but for gang bank $$$, the fun just came along with it. Holding a server back in those days meant your gang was making bank. Which is another reason paychecks have disappeared.

    Well this was a thread to behold...
    While I do think that it could be interesting have a first person friday or something on a server or two, ultimately I dont see 3rd person going away on Asylum.  1st person perspective is simply too limiting in the big map of Arma.  Because of the aspect ratio and size of our screens there simply isnt the real estate to accurately portray the normal human FoV.
    On the other hand, I am not a fan of people pulling off crazy 50-100m 3rd person spray downs.  If you really want to force more aim down sight play and less usage of the unnatural 3rd person camera perspective then a closer FoV in 3rd person and the removal of 3rd person crosshair would be an interesting trial.
    I wouldnt mind 1st person only in cars.  But definitely not helicopters.

    Well explain why you feel that way. I understand that this topic will definitely rustle some jimmies but explain, improve on the idea. Here recently iv been seeing alot of people talk about how cartels are becoming boring, or not enough perks to even own a cartel, the purpose of this idea is to make cartels more interesting and give people more of a reason to have cartels. I personally like fighting, but I also like using the cartel perks.

    This was somewhat discussed in another topic but people already complain about no one fighting. If they were to only become available for cap every few times a restart, more people would fight because that would be the only time you can capture it, making it more useful, atleast to gangs that actually benifit from the perks of cartels like making guns or running drugs.

    Unfortunately this man is right. We're all volunteers who offer up free time that we have besides having our jobs and/or studies.
    I just checked the Ban Appeal section and would like to say that these are checked and replied to daily. You have to keep in mind that not everyone is of the same timezone and that when you make a ban appeal that admin could be asleep (normal person's sleep is like what.. 8 hours?) which means you'll have to wait some time. Do you mind telling me the name of your friend so I can see if his appeal was actually forgotten or perhaps being processed?
    The player reporting section has a few reports that are not yet handled, however some reports are not a simple "RDM" or "VDM" and require us to gather extra evidence or information before we can make a verdict. I'm sure that if you're on the receiving end of the punishment, or even when you're the one reporting, you'd like for us to make sure everything is in order in case we drop the banhammer.
    On the matter of other forms of support. The General Support forum is completely caught up and is continuously being caught up (especially the compensation forum). So I guess the only issue that remains in that regard is the fact we ask people to wait in the TS compensation channels once they have their compensation granted. Currently I notice about one person in this channel and earlier it was about 2-3. In regards to the amount of unique players we have, which is about a 1500-2000 per day or something.. Is a very good number.
    I won't say we, the admin team, and our systems are fully flawless and that we're number one in regards to support. But this is arguably impossible to achieve with volunteers. Customer support from companies has people paid to sit in call centers their whole day and even then it sometimes takes hours to get a call in (try it out, you'll see). But I can assure you we try our best where possible in our current situation to get everything resolved in due time. We also can't switch to an automated system unfortunately as these work black and white. Which means a lot of people might just instead of getting comp granted get denied or perhaps even blacklisted for things we might give a second chance for.
    I hope this sheds some light on the situation from our side and I personally, and probably as well on behalf of the Administration team of Asylum, thank you for your feedback in regards to this.

    Even though i know that everyone wants it to stay as it is for obvious reasons i personally have always loved 1st person plus it gives a new challenge to it because i personally think cartels are stale thats the main reason i dont fight them anymore but thats just me i would be happy with 1st or 3rd i dont mind

    Just wanted to say lately I havn't been getting robo copped, or treated like shit by the APD. Its been making it alot funner to play and do things when your not fighting cartels. Alot of the "Career Cop" Encore players have been extreemly well oriented on the RP side and following the guidelines. You guys really do make the server a hell of a lot funner to take part in. (Yes funner is not a word, but fuck it)

    I have always wished for Asylum to be First Person. I also knew that all the quick peeking little beezys would throw a fit if they couldnt spot you and line up their shot while hiding behind hard cover. Watch all the montages people put together and 90+% of the time that is what you are going to see. It gives a huge advantage to anyone defending anything, Dont get me wrong, I do it too. You have to to be anywhere near competitive with the guys who have spent 1000+ hours doing it, but Id rather not have the option and everyone be forced to 1st. Newer players dont even realize its happening for while and just wonder why they are always on the losing end.
    Personally I would LOVE to see 1st person forced in any locations that are likely to produce combat. Cartels, Bank, Fed, Prison, Police HQ, Illegal Areas, all of em. For Rebels AND the Cops. 
    Maybe Ill get more kills. Doubt it will help the Potato in me though.

    Simple solution, don't just force it in 1 area, if you're going to force it, force it everywhere, not just selected spots.
