    Currently when you press plates you remove a very very small amount off you're bounty, If you're bounty is 100k+ then its good luck getting the bounty to a price most are willing to pay.
    I suggest we change it from removing bounty to removing time. 
    Every full process (8 metal or 64 inventory space) could remove 1 minute - 2 minutes from you're timer.
    This could depend on community goals.
    Possible changes- 1 minute in Tier 4 22 minute max jail , And 2-3 minutes when no community goals 45 minute max jail.

    Add a purchasable garage attachment for houses? It's basically adding an option as if you owned an actual garage on the server. Probably a stupid idea, but idk it'd be giving the houses that are not near anything more use. People would probably start buying them if they can buy a vehicle without needing a friend to come over with a Helicopter or car.

    Qilins were the only vehicle being used prior to the huge nerf. I think the main reason is that were no other good vehicles. 
     
    Some suggestions to promote the use of other vehicles
    -Bring qilin/prowler price down to 15k and 12k and keep the doors removed. 
    -Buff the tires on the hatchsport, hatch, and SUV to a level similar to the qilin
    -Add the strider as an illegal vehicle and should cost no more than 65k 
    -Significantly Reduce the price of the hunter so bounty hunters have a decent method of pushing fortified rebels. In addition make it siezable should they use it against the APD.

    APD should get to do one direct action assault on drug fields or cartel or turf battle or any gang fight per server restart. Or maybe just once per day. Must be a night raid. Loadouts should include body armor, thermals, suppressors, mines. Big drone should establish and track targets in real time. No arrests should be made, all drug traffickers should be lethaled on sight, and vehicles/drugs blown with satchel charges instead. 
    Make the Caesar BTT available for APD so Insertion could be by airplane that glides over the objective- engine off- as operators silently drop onto the objective. Or insert by sea using a teleport. Or whatever insertion is cool.

    Calling all content creators! We are looking for a community made promotional video for Asylum. It should be creative, entertaining, and showcase Asylum content. While we don't want to restrict the talent of our community members below are some guidelines and rules for the contest.
     
    General Guidelines:
     
    Should be around 3-4 minutes in length Feature Asylum content in a positive light Submit videos via PM to @Leady Contest ends Feb 12th. 1 winner will be chosen  
    Rewards:
    $500,000 In game cash 20 Loot crate keys of your choosing Have your video featured on the forums and wiki  
    Below are examples of past promotional videos for the APD these are just examples and not necessarily what is expected as it should feature multiple aspects of Asylum. But we are looking for similar quality and professionalism.

    Disclaimer: I’m very well aware that there are cartels there. 

    Disclaimer #2: Yes, these are all to promote PVP. These events would be aimed at increasing gang activity versus individual activity, in most cases.
    The free fire zone has been a desolate spot on the map for ages now. The only practical reason for going there is the single cartel that spawns there. I think it is time the developers make it more appealing for people to visit it. Here are some of my ideas.
    1. If it’s a “free fire zone”, maybe we could make it so that no crimes committed in the area are able to appear on a ticket. (Maybe you could apply the system you use to automatically charge people in the vicinity of a bank or fed with “Bank Robery” to make it so that no one receives a ticket in the area of the free fire zone). 
    2. Add random NON-AI related events such as:
    -Supply drops: Allow 3-4 of these per server restart in the zone. These crates could be different in their contents. One could have a considerable amount of dirty money or gold bars. One could be filled with diamonds and drugs. The other, obviously ammunition and guns. Maybe these crates could be picked up only by a hemmit for transport (and despawn in x amount of time after it is moved) and lootsble by any player. 
    -Wrecked vehicles: Maybe we can add random vehicles that spawn and aren’t announced as an event. These vehicles could range from box trucks to hemmits to ifrits. With that, a chop chop should be added near donor. Allow these vehicles to be driven by anyone, and only able to be chopped for profit. These vehicles should spawn regularly (every 15-30 minutes or so). Maybe helicopters might be even a good idea. But, here is the catch. In order to get in these vehicles, you may need a diamond tip drill or bolt cutters rather than lock picks. This would increase the risk of grabbing these vehicles as you would be exposed for a certain period of time. 
    -Automatically spawned admin events: everyone loves admin events, maybe we should have 1-3 per restart exclusively in the red zone, preferably battle royale. 
    -Lootable small bases/outposts: this idea is not mine, I don’t particularly care for it. However, it may be a good idea to allow more and more guns to be available without the need of crafting/buying them. This would perhaps give people even more incentive to go down and fight in these areas. 
    -Special types of wrecks: if we were to have 1-3 special excevating sites that are sorrounding the zone which spawn a surplus amount of profitable items (diamonds, cocaine, etc). This may actually make excevating something to do again. These sites would obviously be red zones. 
    -Even more special vehicle events: Perhaps along with the vehicles randomly spawning, we could add a slight twist. Maybe some of these vehicles spawn with 3-4 gold bars (despite trunk size) or a lot of x item. When unlocked, a global ping would activated and this ping would either be continuous or updated every 1-5 minutes. Players would defenitely fight over these things. 
     
    I know some of these ideas may not be applicable to asylum, but, there is so much more that can be done in the free fire zone. It’s a barren place which has no real purpose. Heck, maybe some of these ideas could expand to the entirety of the map.

    First off, we appreciate your cooperation and support as we work on server performance. While we do so, here are some small additions and changes that have been asked for by the community, we do listen to your voices . Once we get the performance to an acceptable level, we will begin adding the new content we’ve been working on for all players to experience. We'd also like to welcome back @Bikstok as contributor and look forward to our development team pushing out great changes in the future!
    Added the ability to claim vehicles at Chop Shop. Added 2 additional Rebel outposts. Thank you @Jbdragon for the designs. Reworked the prison, designed by @Jbdragon! Second bridge removed from the prison A second bridge will be added soon. The dynamic map system Poseidon implemented needs to be reworked or adjusted to accept objects "snapped to surface" or with pitch and yaw settings for the new Eden Editor. There is a laptop in the prison that you need to upload the virus to in order to infect the security system. The timer is now handled server side, so the player who starts it can lose connection, get killed, leave the server, etc and the prison break will continue. The APD will need to stop the prison break if possible by restoring the system at the laptop in the prison. When the map marker returns to blue, prisoners can no longer escape. Increased price of the Qilin to 50k. Increased price of the Prowler to 45k. Removed side doors on Qilins/Prowlers. Increased the price of the APD Prowler to 25k. Added ability to add additional smokes to Ifrits and Striders using the vehicle ammo item. Added vehicle ammo item to Cop shop. Added the Raven vest to Rebel outpost, Skip Tracer and UC. Added rear/side seats to the DLC cargo van. Increased price of the Suicide Vest to 80k. Increased price of the RPG round to 50k. Increased revive payout to $3500. Added MX SW to CPT+. Added MX GL (Smoke rounds only) to SGT+. Added SWAT uniform to LT+. Added Brown NVGs to UC. Removed Gendarmerie uniform from APD. Removed killer shelves from Kavala. Players can no longer sync their location while within 200m of any cartel. Tweaked downing script. Tweaked vehicles to be more resilient to non projectile damage. Removed the seat belt option and made vehicles significantly safer. Fixed a bug with red names and vehicles. Fixed an exploit with RPGs. Fixed APD talent for Hellcat. Fixed an exploit with syncing. Added an auto-locking method on the servers when FPS gets low on the server It will auto-unlock if the FPS recovers, we hope this will aide in having less crashes IMPORTANT NOTE: Some buildings (like the deer stands at the prison) will be created local to the client and not on the server. Meaning if you close the hatches on the deer stands others will see them open. So don't use them for cover. If you're unsure of if the building is client-sided or server-sided have a friend look at the building while you open/close windows. If they don't move for your friend, don't hide behind them and expect not to die... This will be adjusted when the map system is changed in the near future to accept pitch and yaw.
    Hotfix #1:
    Donor Rebel outpost has been added back to its original location. Now you have (6) rebels to gear up at. If you get camped, fill out a "hurt feelings" report Honor & Honor Talents should now sync properly Hotfix #2:
    Decreased damage taken to player while in vehicles. Doner Kebabs will no longer make your food value be a decimal point under certain circumstances. Removed APD Prowler doors. Removed Gang Bank cap. Now all players who are in the vicinity of the prison will be charged with Prison Conspiring. Any players who decide to be broken out from jail will also now be charged with Prison Conspiring on top of Escaping Prison. Prison Break delay dropped from 45 minutes to 15 minutes. Syncing at certain zones has been fixed. An option to refill magazines at Rebel Outposts has been added. Re-added the ability to sell weapons at Firearm Factory, vehicles are still disabled. Added lethal MX SW rounds to Cop shop. Some security adjustments. Hotfix #3:

    The theme is "Redgull". You could be a redgull salesman, a redgull can collector, a redgull PR rep, absolutely anything. Go out and roleplay. Engage people. As a cop or civ. Make some entertaining content. That's all you gotta do.
    There's no rules on video length, it could be a minute or five. (None over 10 minutes though, condense it if you want to.)
    You'll have a week to submit videos and then voting will take place via forum poll. It's that easy.

    Almost 5 years ago I purchased Arma 3 at the urging of a friend to play something called Altis Life.  My friend said I had to play on a server called the Asylum - so I bought the game on steam and we all got on S1.  That night I ended up with a Katiba trying to rob people processing cocaine.  I ended up getting killed by a guy named DanteSleepy, but I was hooked.  
    Through the months that followed I ended up in a little gang named Innovative, then as an Admin, a Captain in the APD, Community Manager, Developer, and finally an owner of the community.  I've enjoyed the years here, but it is finally time for me to move on.  No doubt you've seen the news already that @BaDaBiNg_10-8 and @Clint Beastwood have purchased Gaming Asylum from @Paratus and me.  They have some ideas that I think the community will be happy about, and are bringing in a great developer to help anchor that team in @Jesse.  
    I'd like to thank all the admins, mods, developers, contributors, and support people who have helped (and continue to) the community over the years.  Without a dedicated group of people to keep this place running it would no doubt fall apart. 
    I'd also like to thank the community for sticking with us through the good times and the bad.  It's not lost on me that three years ago tonight Gnashes and I were finishing trying to get all the data pulled back into the database after we lost the database server.  The community stuck through that with us, and I'm really thankful that you did.

    Good morning -
    As many of you noticed yesterday our servers were quite full (largely thanks to some new friends and some old faces) and we experienced the "usual" lag and kicks that we were accustomed to. 
     
    As promised we are immediately diving into our servers configurations from the "bare bones" of the systems.  The development team has taken its first actions with providing server 2 with some changes that we believe may be attributing the pains we have been having.
     
    Server 1 is currently being kept in the original settings.
    Server 2 will be our "test" server for these new settings.
     
    The development team has asked that we fill up server 2 in order to stress test these changes.
    We thank you for your patience during this time.

    Greetings Asylum!
    I come bearing some long time and much-needed news. 
    I’m proud to announce that Asylum is under new ownership. @Clint Beastwood and @BaDaBiNg_10-8 are your proud new owners. I couldn’t be more thrilled that members from this very community are at the helm. Greatness is coming. Let’s get into it.
    First, I’d like to say that we have a new Developer @Jesse . He is a truly experienced and talented person who has graciously accepted the offer to develop for Asylum. In addition, we will be promoting @Gen. Henry Arnold @Windmere to developer. As a team, they will be working on the following items.
     
    Stabilization Optimization Content   
    We want to return Asylum to the Community.
     
     I have been directed to review the ban list. We would like to start new in regards. However, there will be some stipulations. 3rd party, scripting and harassment bans will still be reviewed on a case by case basis. But I will admit, we would like to see some names off that list. If you are a person who is banned under one of these listed bans. Please submit your 100th appeal and we will take a refreshed look at it with new guys at the helm. 
     I would also like to take the time to give a huge thank you to @bamf and @gnashes for their level of dedication and support over the years. I personally know of the sacrifice they gave to keep a place for us all to enjoy open. I can easily say that they are excited to see new hands at the wheel. 

    Server 3 plan- We will be opening server 3 for a time period of one week. During this time, you will be responsible for moving your gear, selling houses and finishing up any loose ends. We would like to start with two servers and move from there. When our population supports the 3rd server again, we will be revisiting the idea of it. Until then, we are happy with two full servers. 

    I truly look forward to the future and I am so relieved this news is finally public! It’s been a long time coming. Thanks for the support over the years.

    Hey @bamf im currently on cop and we cannot access inventory anywhere it says "you must be rank 3 or higher to open containers" lol.
    Could be the same for civs rn but not too sure.
