    Role-play every situation possible.
Open your ears during Prison breaks, Banks, and Feds, and follow orders even if it's a unlawful one. (Just make sure you record him/her giving you the order & it then becomes the person who gave you the orders fault)
Do as many Mock Ridealongs as you can before your real ridealong.
Always play on Precinct 1 or 3.
Never trust a Constable. (Yes, some Constables are great or even better than Sergeants, but a lot of Constables spread wrong information like the black plague.)
Always stay with your battle buddy.

If you want to, try playing with the LTs and Sergeants when you can. You can learn a lot from them just by being their battle buddy (if they want).

The Bank of Altis: [illegal if in progress]
This is not an illegal area, unless it is being robbed. Police will be alerted when it is being robbed & should respond but will not always. Reasons for doing the Bank of Altis, would be to earn some cash by robbing the bank or a reason to fight the police. A suggested method of doing the bank, would be with a group of friends or a gang. It is ideal to have an Orca on the roof or the back of the island. Have 2-4 people stationed on top of the Bank. 1-2 on the first ATM building & 1 person at light house or 1-2 people spread between industrial & ghost finally have 1-2 people roaming up & down the stairs inside. For an image of The Bank of Altis.
Gas Station Robberies: [illegal if in progress]
This is not an illegal area, unless being robbed. These are often used to make a quick $5,000. Police will be alerted when it is being robbed & should respond but will not always. If you commit this illegal act, you will be charged with Robbery, which has a bounty of $5,000.
Prison Break: [illegal if in progress]
This is not an illegal area, unless an active prison break is going on. Police will be alerted when it is being robbed & should respond but will not always, if you initiate the prison you will receive a charge of prison break and can be sent straight to jail by the police also if you're assisting in the prison break you can be sent straight to jail.
Federal Reserve: [illegal if in progress]
This is not an illegal area, unless an active robbery is going on. Police will be alerted when it is being robbed & should respond but will not always, if you assist in the bank you will receive an automatic charge of bank robbery which has a bounty of $10,000. The benefits of robbing the Federal Reserve is to have the access of stealing federal reserve gold bars. Which are found in the domes, you will need a demo charges, bolt cutters, diamond tip trill, a fast vehicle for snatch and grabs (getting 1 gold bar then leaving). A HEMMT to maximize your profit. Picture of Federal Reserve here. Gold bars can only be sold at Rebel Outposts for $28,000.

I feel like there is a headwear crisis in the APD. The ball caps look too casual, the berets look too cheesy and no hat at all looks awkward. WTB more hats to choose from. It's getting cold out there in Altis, let us cover our domes with more stylish and practical hats. Who is with me?!

  19. Beef... liked a post in a topic by (BKB) Sean in Cop/Civ Relations
In an effort to improve the opinion of the APD that a lot of civs have I thought I would make a post on ways, in my opinion, to improve the relationship between the police force and the civilians. Nothing I say in this post is law, nothing is "calling anybody out", and I am not saying these things are the only ways to interact with civilians. Feel free to add anything to this, either things you do or your thoughts on the post. Ideas will be broken up into the key subject in bold and an explanation beneath it. For those of you that just want to get to the point you can skip the next paragraph.
To explain what I mean by the opinion of the APD I will break it down. Civilians often feel the APD is just there to issue tickets and that we do not really care about them or their well-being. The job of a police officer is not just to catch criminals but also to help the population. The police force is a main piece of the server that will in a large part determine how popular it is. If all we were here to do is issue tickets then the developers would have just made ticket amounts come directly out of the persons account or send them to jail if they could not pay it. The police force is here to battle the gangs, protect the civilians from the gangs and each other, provide balance on the server to keep it from turning into chaos, and to allow the people of the island to feel a certain degree of safety and even importance. The reason I say importance is because without the civilians Asylum would be no more. I feel the importance is an issue we need to step up our game on. With that being said, on with the post.
Respond to 911 calls. Civilians send 911 calls for a reason, they expect a response. Always try to respond to a 911 call with a text telling them if you can or can not respond. Often times if all officers are busy I will send the person a text telling them we are not able to respond at the moment due to this reason but we will try to respond as soon as we can. If it takes very long I will even send them another message telling them we have not forgotten their call. If you notice another officer is near the call alert the officer to it, tell them the call that just came in is near them and see if they can respond to it and then notify the civilian. If a civilian is stuck somewhere and messages the police for a ride always try to help them out, even if it means pulling a helicopter.  Engage in RP with civs in your area. Often times if I get out of my car in a city when I am not in a pursuit I will immediately ask the surround civs how their day is going, this will always lead to more conversation. Avoiding conversation with civs makes them feel like you don't care about them. If you are talking to someone and you need to leave for something tell them you would stay and chat but your assistance is needed elsewhere. Another great way I have found to gain some respect from civilians is to ask them if they think the APD is doing a good job, how the force could improve, and if they feel safe. I tell them their opinions will not be held against them in any way and it is shocking how many people will actually be serious about it and tell me what they think. Always give civilians a chance to explain their actions. It is tempting to be strict with someone when they have done something against you but try not to. If someone is being rude try to rp with them why they are in such a bad mood and that you are just trying to do your job and keep the island safe. If they are violent with officers ask them why. It is almost always possible to get someone that is being uncooperative to turn their attitude around. *Here is another post I made with a tip to do that  Remember someones ticket should be reduced just for not making you chase them. If you ask someone to stop or siren and they do then go easy on them. I am not saying do not try to rp, always try to rp. Even if someone has a 300k bounty always allow them the chance to explain their actions. I know a lot of gang members don't bother trying to rp because in the past they have rped a story for 20 mins just to have their 200k ticket dropped to 100k which they still wont pay. If you really think their story is not going anywhere try to avoid letting them waste a bunch of their time but do it in a respectful way. But otherwise give them a chance to explain themselves.  Do not restrain a civilian as soon as you start talking to them. I have heard a lot of civilians complain that as soon as an officer walks up to them and says sir you are wanted the officer restrains them. If the person is being cooperative and did not try to run from you there is no reason to restrain them until you need to issue them a ticket or search them (I normally do not search unless i caught them breaking a law). If I need to restrain someone to do something when they are being cooperative I always warn them first that I need to do so for this reason.  If someone is turning themself in and combat breaks out for an unrelated reason unrestrain them somewhere safe. This way if all officers die the person is not stranded there handcuffed. Remember a person in handcuffs is unable to use their phone. You can always meet up with them after the combat has been resolved.  Do not hold grudges against gangs. Gangs are a necessary part of the game. As a police officer you signed up for combat and to deal with general trollery. If a gang starts seeming hostile with cops it is probably a sign they do not feel they are being treated fairly. Always try to explain to people the reason why they are restrained, being issued a ticket, or receiving any other sort of punishment.  Always try to get people processed as soon as you can. Nobody likes to just be standing around waiting to be ticketed or sent to jail. The longer a person waits the more aggravated they will be. If somebody does have to wait a while explain to them why. Remember they are playing this game for enjoyment so their time has to be somewhat valuable to you.  Try to explain the severity of their crimes in an RP way. This is a topic to have fun with. If you catch someone robbing a gas station ask them why are they taking money from this family owned business. If they are speeding ask them if they realize they are endangering the lives of not only themselves but also the plant life, wildlife and other residents of the island. If they murdered someone ask if they ever considered the persons family and that now you will have to notify the victims wife that her husband won't be coming home. The possibilities are endless.  Make people think that their time is valuable to you. Do not keep someone in a situation they do not enjoy for any longer than you can help. Try not to keep people waiting any longer than you can help. If somebody has been kept waiting for an extended period of time don't be afraid to take some money off their ticket for their patience. If I ever make a mistake I try to compensate the person for it. Just the other night I accidentally took a player's drivers license so I paid for it and gave him extra for his time to have to go get another. In some cases the persons time to replace something can be more valuable than the items lost.  These are just some things I do. I am not saying everyone has to do it, I am just making people aware. A good experience today plants the seed for a good experience tomorrow. Remember the civilians can make our job fun and they can also make it miserable. I believe a good standing with the civilians will make the game more enjoyable for everybody. And I really believe the reason the APD was put in this game was to keep the game enjoyable for everyone (to a point). So this is the end of my long post. I hope some people get some inspiration out of it and I hope it in some way helps the servers. Thank you anyone who took the time to read this. Feel free to leave other tips you might have or questions in the comments.

    What are we?

-We are an Altis and Stratis Food delivery service!
    Ok...Why are we?
-Well, ever been in the situation where you are lacking transport and you are about to starve to death? Well then Food Truck Supply Co. is who you call!
    How could i join?
-To join Food Truck Supply Co., All you need to do is put [FTS] before your name (and preferably have an indian character as your profile) and you are apart of the team!
    What do i need?
-All you need is a vehicle that can take you anywhere on the island in 30-20 minutes, just for those complex situations people always find themselves in, and then have at least 20 of every item in your stock(but you can increase the amount by what item sells most, whether it be beer or burgers, in order to satisfy demand).
    What is there to gain?
-From being apart of the FTS you can make friends with really "interesting" people, have amazing role play experiences, and gain large amounts of profit (by selling beer at 700 dollars a pint) by exploiting your "convenience fee".

If you think this is a good idea type " +1 " in the comments and any other suggestions that could better the experience a player could have while being apart of the Food Truck Supply Co.

Roleplay wise' date=' I'd give a [u']big vouch to both, [uSER=208]Beef[/uSER] and [uSER=241]Miss Evo[/uSER] who without perusing something to gain, they both supported the Avar idea for the roleplay aspect. I think in a community that somewhat lacks roleplay, members like those two who both gave time to create guides, spreadsheets etc. Just to try and bring some role-play into the community through an roleplaying idea of someones with no real intention for gain is great and what any roleplaying community needs.
I know me and Chandler are new to the community, and my vouch may mean little, but we've fought for expansive roleplaying groups such as Avar on more serious roleplay servers and failed, yet here it actually somewhat worked gaining members, already at 15. Thanks to help from people like Evo and Beef. Not to mention countless other members who've just gave donations from their own hard worked money just to help out.
Note: This isn't me vouching them for helping my group, this is a vouch for the fact they helped because they saw the potential to bring more roleplay into the community for those who want it. They gave time and ingame money to help out with nothing in return just for that idea. (They obviously like their community)

First of all i want to thank everyone who helped in the process of restoring as much as possible. Secondly i want to send out a message to the entire community.
It seems we have been struck with a relentless attack with intention to take our community down. Well I don't know what the hacker was thinking because we'll simply patch up the damages and stand back up better than ever.
We have hundreds if not a thousand skilled rebels fighting over the possesion of the cartels, the endless waves of APD, robbing the small thugs who think they're on top of the food chain.
We have the APD who has been roaming all over Altis/Stratis daily to stop any kind of law breaking for years now! The APD staff has grown huge in numbers, new captains that will take command to once again take our islands back from the criminals.
Also for aslong as i remember we have been populated with a sheer amount of civilians we simply go to for a talk, rob them of their hard earned money, help them survive the day or where the hell you get a map.
Medics that will without no doubt keep research how exactly they are able to heal people by running over them or give us a firework show which they daily give in kavala (hummingbirds).
All i'm actually trying to say is that we kind off have build some virtual lives here. Made countless friends and even more enemies! We have alot to go back to, we just have to overcome this hit and go forward.
A simple request though: Don't take this out on the staff.. No matter what you lost they're doing their utter best. Fill in comp requests with the format required and give it some time.
    Thanks for reading through this.
Lets go forward and not lose any joy over this.
