    @bamf Please fix the vehicles locking when you get into them first. So many times lately you get fucked over trying to escape only to have the car lock itself once you get in. Happens when you unlock your vehicle (happens for all vehicles), get in, locks itself and you have to unlock it again.

    I do agree that it should build in the fridge obviously without any auto generation only when it is contested.
    Other then that it should auto deposit.

    More people have been fighting as of recent patch update than in the past months.
    The new system is amazing & is bringing back some action at cartels.
    The people who are probably complaining now are the people who ratted majority of the cartels.

    Yes, 100% of the money is now in Banded Bank Notes.  Before there was a split to gold bars.  Again, just another change I thought we would try for a bit...
    Gotta pick up the rubber.  No way to "deposit" that anywhere...

    OK, I'm going to relent (temporarily) and test something out.  Both of the main changes in this patch are temporary.  We're going to see how it effects things and then react.  With that being said:
    Money from the cartel fridge(s) will now automatically deposit into the gang account of the gang who owns the cartel.  This happens on an incremental basis (every 5 minutes), so you will still see money in the fridge (and can take it if it is there).  The trade off here is that we are no longer generating money to go into the fridge.  People have to sell drugs, turtles, scotch, etc to fill up Drug and Wong's.  People have to buy things at Rebel to fill up Arms.   All proceeds from robbing the bank will now be Banded Bank Notes.  No more gold bars from the bank.  Banded Bank Notes introduce a time wait to deposit money from the bank, so the APD can still chase you down... Exiting a vehicle should maintain your weapon fire rate (as it used to).  This was a bug from the performance patch.   Additional performance enhancements.  Minor things, but hey were still working on that too.    
    Hotfix 1:
    Y inventory should now drop to the ground where expected when someone dies in a vehicle.   Hotfix 2:
    Increased the prison break combat radius Increased the radius that prisoners can move around in the prison (get shanking boys) Made a small map change at the prison to (hopefully) prevent an exploit Hotfix 3:
    Tweaked the prison radius again.  Should solve both issues:  not being able to create shanks and the inability to escape after a prison break.

    So I'd say it's fair to take a good honest look at the benefits and disadvantages of both. Before you read this understand it's just my opinion, and I would like to see what the community thinks as a whole. Please keep the thread clean, I don't wanna see it locked for stupid shit. I don't want your forum likes, I just want this thread to be genuinely considered for what it is, the communities opinion. That being said please state yours. @bamf
    Advantages of the fridge:
    The fridge makes more money due to it auto generating. It gives lower ranking gang members direct access to a source of income that would otherwise go into the gang bank Occasionally someone will roll up to rebel with virtually free dirty money on them to take. Disadvantages of the fridge:
    Gangs seem to no longer fight for the cap of the cartel to constantly hold and put their name on the map, they fight for the money or only for the sake of fighting. People become rats, camping the cartel and rebel, as opposed to actually capping it and getting involved in that part of rebel life. Newer gangs tend to only cap your cartels when you are offline, resulting in them never, or very rarely actually fighting the cartel. Gang members can rat the cartel money, resulting in not all of it going into gang bank. It's not easy to prevent, and it's relatively hard to find out who's doing it when no one else is on. In turn members start to play for them selves and not the gang. you can get an idea if people are in the middle of running drugs by simply looking at the drug cartel go up if you check it regularly. Advantages to the auto paying Cartel:
    Gang's don't have to pickup from drug literally every 20 or 30 minutes when they could be doing a fed, bank, or a prison. constantly holding the cartel becomes astronomically more important, in the eyes of a newer gang you never know what amount of money you could be missing out on. With the fridge, the amount you could not obtain by leaving the cartel alone is finite, further discouraging them from capping the cartel if there is very little in the fridge. Less rats and more gangs that fight cartels would start to form. Disadvantages of auto paying cartels:
    You would make less money with out the dirty money auto generating within the fridge. (This is a good and a bad thing I'll restate it and why at the bottom.) lower ranking gang members can no longer comp them selves. Players who are literally brand new to arma/asylum might not be interested in capping cartels if they don't understand or see the monetary gain involved with it. You would make less money with out the dirty money auto generating within the fridge. So this is in my opinion a good and a bad thing because you would make less money overall with out dirty money auto generating, on the other hand you would be given the incentive to protect your drug runners. That is for the simple reason that drug runners make you money, if you protect them you make more. It would require more work on the rebel side, but would actually give them the ability to fight cops and people robbing your drug runners along the way. I doubt we would see any community meth runs like we use to because of the dynamic market, but it would be nice to see some newer players get somewhere with a little help from the rebel community.

    there is way more things to do as far as making money, illegal and legal the map is distributed very evenly, where every part of the map is used actively..
    there is more rebels, including "Warzone Rebel" which is east arms, and they sell Olympus version of a mini defib.."Epi Pen" which revives your teammate and they have a "dopamine" timer, so you must either get healed by a medic or go to a hospital..currently they are releasing a longer timer, or defib? not 100%
    loadouts & vehicles are much cheaper , as it is much easier to make money, you can get an orca and a turtle backpack and make around 500k in one meth run....., (two loadouts for fighting) in relatively 20-25 minutes, where as it takes quite a bit of work to make that on Asylum as the cops check drug areas 24/7 and there is no timer or wave rules to return, as for Olympus there is
    an orca costs around 500k i think and once you put the 150k insurance on it, it's 150k each time you lose it with insurance..
    that's 50k asylum for an orca, then 15k each time you crash it basically..but asylum orcas used to be 120-200k, which is 2million relatively olympus money...(fucking joke) literally thats 7-8 dollars $$ us for one vehicle, if i bought that on olympus you could get around 7-9 loadouts , or loadouts, heli, ifrit, all in one..the groups have no cap limit, there will literally be 3-4 gangs with 10-20 people each fighting for hours on end and there is not one single bit of lag you can claim ifrits you win at fights, they have gang sheds... 
     
    THERE IS NO FREEZERS AT THE CARTEL..if you own it, the money goes into your gang bank
    honestly the logic behind the freezers at the moment is broken..the admins don't see it how rebels do because they don't get on the server & go cap it..there is honestly no reason to get the cartel unless the freezer is full with 100k..so people dont even bother half the time..yeah let me go sit at the cartel for 30 minutes...then wait 30mins-1hour or however long it is for the money to fill up, fly my orca to the cartel...server kicks you off, you lose your orca & all the freezers are reset...and then when you finally do get there without getting kicked, there is some guy there with a fucking rook and kills you when you take the money , they even made it where you can't put it in your vehicle anymore back then! what a joke! people can watch you take the money out and wait at rebel..Mass kicks started happening...you'd think we'd be rewarded for dealing with it so calmly and trusting the process..but no, they nerf the firearm factory, making it where you need salt..they nerf drug running..they nerf scotch where you have to refresh your crates, they raise taxes on ifrits, orcas and if i'm not mistaken guns, they nerf panagia gun crafting & also nerf orca crafting...literally the only way to make money is doing meth..which is usually camped, or cops showing up every 10 minutes, all the bitching and moaning about everyone on server 5 when there is literally barely any ways to make fucking money anymore and they wonder why everyone just went there to make money?..
     
    their fed pays up to 4-10million i think? which is 400k-1m Asylum money
    they have blackwater..where you can get DMS scope, mar10,tons more and attachments, csats, armed quillin, striders, hunters, armed blackhawk..and you can sell these to other player or keep them
    they have a war point shop , selling csats(you cannot donate for them by the way)
     
    honestly im tired of naming things because the list goes on that they have that Asylum doesn't because it's honestly frustrating, we've all been so loyal to Asylum, we've all introduced so many ideas, they are  just all shut down...i mean server 2 was down for ages and there was no warning or post about it..we literally had to find out from a gyazo of a discord chat...(lul) 
     
    Asylum needs to hire a coder at this point..They definitely have the money..If Paratus actually gave a flying fuck about the thousands of people who donated to Asylum and donated to his new game he would do something about all this..Literally we are the sole reason he has all that money, must be nice..It's time for the staff to take a step back, admit the server is failing, do something about server 2 & 3..literally people have worked to get houses and setups on there for years...and you just take it away like it's nothing..."Ahh they will be alright, they'll adjust.." that's like taking your code for idenity paratus that you worked on for years and just deleting it...I don't think you'd like that very much...I owned several arma 2 overpoch servers that were semi-successful i earned around $7500 dollars in donations in the first 6 months, I tried to expand and did things my way and ignored my community...long story short it died because I didn't listen to my players..just a friendly warning

    Just pointing out been on Asylum for almost 3 years now. I have never really played Olympus since I had biased towards Asylum being 10000x better and frankly just not wanting to start from scratch again. Last night I checked their severs and all 3 were full at 111 players. On a Wednesday night that is pretty impressive compared to what we have been getting lately.
     
    I guess where I'm getting at is for any of you who have played Olympus or do currently... What are some things that make it better, or on the other end worse than Asylum.

    Just noticed today that they implemented the new idea of the servers going on / off based off of the server population.
    For those of you that don't know as long as servers 1 and 4 don't have at least 80 players on each server then servers 2 and 3 will remain offline.
    In my own personal opinion this is an awful feature to have implemented. Why in the world would you waste your time adding something like this rather than working on something that's more important? I'm really trying to find a way to look at this as a positive change but I just cant. I hate to say it but as we all know this community is already dying and from my experience the only time that 2 servers have at least 80+ people on them is on the weekends. So does this mean that servers 2 and 3 will be pretty much perma shut off during the week and only up during the day on weekends? 
    For a player like me who mainly plays on s3 I'm curious as to how the hell I'm supposed to let my scotch age if the server is only up for a couple hours during the day on the weekends. If you want to implement something where the servers have a specific timer on them such as olympus does for one of their servers then I'm all for it. But implementing something that's all dependent on the amount of players on 2 of the servers is complete dogshit in my opinion especially when it's on a server that is struggling to maintain those kinds of numbers and only really shows that kind of player count on a weekend.
    Would love some of your opinions on it and possibly what some pros of this new feature could be because I'm really struggling to find any. I know this doesn't have any effect whatsoever on the people that mainly play on s1 and s4 but for those of you that spend most of your time playing on s2 and s3 what do you think about it?
