This post is NOT mean to target anyone specifically, I am simply giving mine and the asylums input on the captains.
Where do I begin. From this thread it seems like ED and Hypanius seem to be getting alot of hate from the community for their actions while jamooze is the loved one. There are multiple things I have gathered so far from seeing these new captains. Jamooze, this guy has been around the community for awhile. I remember the days he was a constable simply struggling to get votes to become a corporal. Once he was promoted, Jamooze quickly soared through the ranks in just a couple months to captain. I was surprised seeing jamooze being promoted past the rank of SGT since he has never seemed like the type of guy with any drive/compassion for the APD. When we heard the promotion of Jamooze to captain, alot of LTs were wondering how high Durga was at that time. Since Jamooze has been appointed the rank of captain, it has changed him from the raging jamooze I used to know into a different figure with pros and cons. Jamooze is a laid back person and simply has little/no hate from the community at the moment simply for the fact he doesn't publicly account for any new changes in the APD that often.
ED, I remember when ED was a corporal always pushing for changes in the APD but simply couldn't at the time due to his rank. Ed quickly soared ranks from corporal to Captain in just a few manner of months with little experience in the APD staff on Policies and Guidelines. This outraged a good amount of LTs in the APD when they heard someone who was barely an LT for a month receiving captain. I myself was greatly surprised figuring that APD veterans like AAbrams or Painbringa would have received a position of captain. I disliked ED alot when he was recently appointed captain. It angered me thinking that there are other candidates out there with alot more experience and knowledge who would have made the cut better. Once ED was appointed captain he quickly began to bring about changes in the APD, some that were highly agreed upon and some that were disliked. Ed has always seemed like the type of guy who would sit down with you and listen to your thoughts on things. He was always there when someone needed help or if someone needed a second chance. The cons have ED I have seen is his stubbornness can get the best of him. If he has something set out the way he wants it down and you don't perform it that way, he can be very aggressive toward that said individual . I can't say many negative things about ED simply because I haven't personally seen him do many negative things. Now I'm pretty sure there are many of you out there with your own personal interactions with Ed whether you agree with his actions or disagree, I am just giving my own opinion.
Hypanius, now there are quite alot of many negative things I have heard from him and little to none positive things. From what I have seen and gathered from people in and out of the APD about hyp, he is a stubborn, self absorbed, close minded individual person on the APD. He refuses to take advice from others in the APD and simply acts upon what he thinks. He does not care about giving others a second chance and laughs at the thought of it. He has shown that he only talks to those about things he wants to talk about. He is trying to be a hardass much like durga but is simply giving off a "douchebag" personna insted. Regarding rangers demotion, it seems like he has avoided confronting that situation at all with other LTs and Ranger himself in the APD and is trying to sweep it under the rug. When he was demoted he refused to share info about ranger and as you can see by the screenshot that was posted earlier, wouldn't even post the reason of demotion on his app. Now usually when someone trys to hide something, it means your doing something you know you shouldn't be doing. I have NOT had really any interactions at all with hyp, but unless he shows any improvements within the APD or ANY effort, then I agree with the rest of the Asylum community that he needs to be removed from the rank of captain.  If there comes a point where a captain is bringing down the APD rather than improving it, I will have no problem voting to remove that captain.
If any captains need to be brought back its durga. He was my inspiration to rank up in the APD and was my APD role model. Everything I did in the apd I would think to myself, how would durga handle this? Durga was a hardass and very quick/and blunt to the point. He was hated alot by the community simply because he had no problem taking the heat from new rules that the other captains didn't want.

Well... here goes.  Quite a bit to say on this topic, so wall of text likely incoming.  Maybe I can bring the thread back on topic.
As most of you probably know, I was a Lieutenant until very recently.  I still don't know why I was demoted or what I did other than "something bad" and "corruption" or "lost my trust".  But this really isn't about that, this is about the Captains.

So let me tell you what I know about the Captains and why I believe that a change of the guard is in order.
Right off the bat, when these news Captains were instilled, some of the Lieutenants tried to be involved in the "new APD", asking to be involved in policy making.  Hypanius laughed and said that coming to us for policy ideas would be a bad idea and that he would make the decisions. Despite having some sort of transvestite lady boy as his avatar, Hypanius becomes overwhelmed and demotes people for making lighthearted jokes about his name.  He can stand to have a scantily clad man-woman, but can't take the name "Hyper-Penis" without throwing everyone off the force for not respecting his reign.  I won't forget joining a support channel wherein an ongoing discussion with Hypanus was happening about said nicknames when I mentioned that Scott referred to him as "Hypermoose" and he threatened to demote me if I ever said that again.  It became clear early on that this Captain maintained some sort of personal desire to see me removed.
After responding to an officer report against RoguePilot who I had not been in a gang with for 35+ days, Hypanius gave me points for processing a gangmate claiming that "he felt like I had been in a gang with him and that i deserved points" despite having no proof.  I had previously been told due to my heavy gang involvement to not process anyone who I was a in a gang within 30 days with.
He then later finally removed me for reasons still unknown to me.  Many of you have heard the conversation.  I asked why I was being removed and if I could be offered at least an explanation, let alone evidence, and was told that "we can't tell you what, but you did something bad".  Hell, I have come to understand that the evidence against me (which has since been deleted) is of me simply talking about something, not even me actually actively doing some violation of APD guidelines.
Following this incident, said Captain Hypanius removed Ex-Lieutenant Bloodhound's Corporal rank because Bloodhound banned him from the FSA teamspeak.  Apparently Captain's power now extends into private gang teamspeak servers.
My Captain report for this blatant abuse of power resulted in the following.  That is the only response.

There are a number of 2nd LTs and veteran Lieutenants who have come across as heavily disappointed in the current direction and recent actions of the APDs current leadership.
Now, for me this isn't about my removal or Hypanius alone.  This is about the leadership of the force as a whole and the reasons why I sought the Lieutenant position in the first place.  Whether or not you thought I was a good Lieutenant, and I have received a lot of support from people insisting that I was, but either way I worked for the position so that I could support the police force that made Asylum a great place when I joined in 2014.  Those were my only intentions as cop, I defended the cop force, got on every day to help them fight the uphill battle and provide leadership at the Bank/Fed/Prison.  I fought for a fair fight for rebels and to create a positive roleplay environment and all it did was get me removed.  Apparently I tried to create a fun environment one too many times and somehow violated some rule unknown to me.  All I have been able to gather is that it was related to the trial by combat system.
When Ed was chosen I was a little perplexed.  Joined the APD after the 6.0 patch and had been a Lieutenant for less time than me when he was selected for Captain.  Not only was he relatively inexperienced in APD terms, frequently asking policy questions and often tapping other LTs for thoughts on officer reports, but he was inexperienced in Arma itself by community standards (600 hours at the time?).  But now we have Ed and these Captains pushing to remove age limits from cop?
Jamooze I have for the most part had little to no issue with.  He is a laid back guy.  The only thing I can fault him for is stealing a civilians (my) ifrit while on cop and driving to HQ to seize claiming that he is Captain and he doesn't have the follow APD rules.
The fact is, people the Lieutenants are disheartened with the state of the APD's leadership. The people pleaser Captains are not doing what is in the best interest of the force.  It is time for change.
Sneaky was correct in saying that the state of the APD is a snowball rolling down a hill.  Someones needs to stand in the way of its downfall.  The force needs a change.  It is not in a good state and considering how large of an impact this has on the servers as a whole, I truly hope that the community managers step in.
@bamfWe are calling on you and Trilligy to come back as the real Chief of Police and clean up this disaster.  I know you guys don't want to, I know it won't be easy.  But it is has sadly come to the point where this is necessary.

    Hello there,
While I'm not in favor or against any changes in the APD leadership. I would have to agree with certain voices here. If you're afraid to speak out your minds towards your leadership because of a supposed rank in a game, then I don't think you really want change to happen. I'm sure Motown and Paratus, and perhaps even Bamf, whom are all above me in rank, have had to take a lot of shit from me in the past two years (nearly) that I've been an admin. I've had to say some things to my superiors in Asylum a few times I'm still surprised about that they kept me.
However, I can say that if you actually let it out you'll feel a lot better. Plus it's good to have an opinion of your own, it shows that you really care. Because otherwise you're just "another brick in the wall" (cookie for reference).
Also, @HotWings. Anders is free to speak his mind as everyone is. In the end he's just like you, and me, a player of Asylum who wants to contribute into making us something fun and thriving. Holding it against him for his "rank" is honestly not something that needs to be done in this thread. Everyone's asking to speak their mind freely, he should be allowed as well.. Just like any other member of the Staff team, APD team and just normal players. That's what it means to be a community. Yes, sometimes people their voices are silenced but the admins only ever have to do that when it goes to insane shitposting or spamming of the forums. Everyone does their part, of course.
Regardless, good luck APD on fixing these issues. I hope you can all come out of this thread with your opinion and wishes having been heard.
    Kind regards,
    DJScias
