When I go on Olympus I get a feel of professionalism from the way everything looks and feels, but when I play Asylum it's like some people in their basement are making this shit.

Why is it when a gang is the focus of a grotty gangs video its not removed but when the APD gets under the spotlight shit hits the fan and people get salty?

Dude @bamf please listen no one here wants this community to die and we only have so much time before everyone gives up for good.

Here's the sad truth guys, the game you want to play is not the game those in charge want to make.

In the early days there was enough overlap to keep everyone happy but with each major patch came another inflection point away from the original cops and robbers format. 6.0 is probably the most salient example of the diverging interests of devs and the players. The players were content with asylum as it was for the most part—except the complaints about a lack of end game content— but the devs wanted to reinforce the core gameplay loop that most players gladly opted out of as soon as they made enough money. It was a critical misunderstanding of what people played for. People liked that once you made enough money, you could go on fighting and messing around indefinitely. With 6.0 the era of all fun and no grind died. Only to be replaced with the era of perennial grind and very limited combat.

Due to limitations of the Arma engine, Asylum isn't deep enough to make a grind rewarding. It would be far better to stick to what makes Asylum great, fun interactions and meaningful small unit infantry combat.

There's a lot more I could say on this issue, from the bad bounty hunter update to the paltry payouts for time consuming activities, but it's all been discussed ad nauseam at this point.

TL;DR: The devs want to make an RPG, the players want to play cops and robbers.

I agree, the all to common "not happening" needs to end and switch the mentality to "let's at least give it a shot" with dwindling numbers anything is worth a shot

A Short Story by a talented writer by the name of @Alec-I.

" - Get rid of Certain Admins and APD Admin higher ups who seem to be at the higher end of the admin chain but don't know there hand from there arse. how has this happened? they are the definition of useless admins. the admin team hates them and are always shit talking these two specifically, and no not just bilal before you bring that shit up, he is the hero you all need however.
    - Pressure @bamf for not listening to the community and putting in shit no one wants, WHO DOES CRANK ANYWAY? but thanks for asking for new cartel location suggestions even though the only cartels people fight is arms dealer and drug when its on peninsula, been told this a million times.. STILL IGNORING IT THOUGH
    - Listen to the community, plenty of posts and suggestions which have been overwhelmingly liked by the community and are easy changes. here is one of those posts.
    - The next wave of admins worries me (support team) after an fsa member got banned for this. if this is the kind of person that's going to judge on whether or not your cheating see u later rest of you cartel fighters you're getting banned for either pull downs, lag switching or DPI glitching. it's bad enough already with the current admins judging. keep in mind when watching this video he was shot by someone else. Norweignviking doesnt mind the video being posted either btw.

Just my opinion on things, I do not expect anything to be changed or done, many posts have been made like this before, probably going to be deleted because I hurt some individuals feelings... so I return to my previous statement. We're doomed.

    TL:DR:
    - Redo lead admins CoP / whatever bullshit they replaced community manager with.
    - Listen to the community
    - Get some admins that actually know what cheating is
    - We're doomed anyway, or are we? perhaps this post will spur the development in the way the community wants it, bringing back players from all across the arma player base back to asylum, the admin team being remade with a good system in place to stop dumb admins who don't know what they're talking about on making decisions. a development team that will listen to there community in future updates so that people will continue to play... or things will continue on as they are we will get some more useless updates EU players will go first being followed behind by NA players, my estimate is that asylum continues operations for about 1-2 years.
My first and only rage post on the developments of asylum. "

Personal comment: Every single thing said above is 100% accurate to a TEEEEEE.  The only people who would disagree are some certain higher ups who love a bit of the gobble gobble yeno? YENO??

Joke to ease the tension from this thread:
A ham sandwich walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender says "Sorry we dont serve food"

No money on strife= Inactive server
lucky to be over 35/100 now
Still need incentives to actually play the game like maybe 10-20k for caps and restores
I'd rather afk cap a cartel than sit at points for 10+ mins for a pitty 5k

People bitch about strife jets and they get an increase in price but when it comes to asylum? Nah fuck that. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. (Dont care about the nerf just using it as comparison)

  21. Aether liked a post in a topic by ... in Possession of Explosives Charge Addon + Wiki Suggestion
    Possession of Explosives Charge Addon
For the APD, the Possession of Explosives applies to only RPG war heads and or Speedbomb(s). Since the flashbang is covered under the Possession of Police Equipment, RGO Grenades (HE) should be added to the list of items that apply to the Possession of Explosives Charge as it is a explosive. Although the RGO Grenade is covered in the Possession of Illegal Firearm(s) charge, it makes more sense for it to be categorized as a explosive.  @Subaru @DarkKnight @The Monopoly Man
Original Possession of Explosives Charge Description:

Suggested Possession of Explosives Charge Description:
Possession of Explosives | $5,000 | When a suspect is in possession of an RPG war head(s) (A.K.A RPG Ammo), RGO Grenades (HE), and or Speedbomb(s).
Original Possession of Illegal Firearm Charge Description:

Suggested Possession of Illegal Firearm Charge Description:
Possession of Illegal Firearm(s) | $2,500 | Any legal firearm without a firearms license is also considered illegal. Any Bounty Hunter without both BH and firearms licenses is considered illegal. Bounty Hunters with lethal ammunition for MX's, TRG, or a Vermin are to be charged with possession of illegal firearm. This charge is not stackable.
    Wiki Suggestion:
Create a section on the wiki that specifically addresses which weapons are legal and illegal. Such a list could be used as a hyperlink for the APD Ticket Guide. @Gnashes @Leady @SharingWriter @badger @Gen. Henry Arnold @Mayhem @Patato
