Ok, so the co-ordinates listed above are in x-y-z format, so you need to open up the editor, find the co-ordinates (in the bottom left) and then log back in and go there. Since that is a pain, I did that for you all. These are the gridref co-ordinates (leftmost line, bottom line)

Crater - 099/121 or 120 (right on the border)
    Mountain -  128/094
    Temple- 099/064
    Radio Tower- 137/109
    Plane- 113/072

    Hope this helps!

    Finding a map
Treasure maps can be found by excavating, fishing from a boat, and mining. Maps can be found on both Altis and Tanoa however all the treasure location are on Tanoa. In doing each of these activities there is a very slim chance of finding a map so it is by no means a get rich quick activity.

    Probability of finding a map
*all numbers were attained from the mission file and are thus subject to change as the mission file changes*
    Mining
*You should have the talents that increase your mining speed as well as the one that increases the chance of finding something valuable*
*Chances are per pickax swing assuming you do not find a worthless stone*
    High Yield: 1 in 2500
    Medium Yield: 1 in 5000
    Low Yield: 1 in 7124
    Excavating
*You should have the talents that increases excavating speed*
All ship wrecks: 1 in 3000
    Fishing from a boat
*Fishing is currently broken so don't waste your time with this, although in the future the talents to increase your net capacity will help*
All fishing things: 1 in 6000

    Treasure locations
*All treasure locations are on Tanoa*
*All credit for these images goes to whoever made them for asylum*
These are the x,y,z coordinates (at terrain level) of the treasure chests as the appear in the mission file. To find the location open your map and it will display the cursor coordinates somewhere on there. Then buy a shovel from the market and go dig it up. Treasure/gems can be sold at the jewelry store, the drugs at the drug dealer, and the spirits at Wong's. The total yield should be 50-60k.

The current house guide is out of date so I thought I would make a new one that is accurate to the current state of Asylum.
    Houses:
    40K
    Cannot hold storage.

    70K
    Holds 2 crates/barrels.

    120K
    Holds 3 crates/barrels.

    150K
    Holds 3 crates/barrels.

    200K (Industrial shed)
Doubles as a garage that can spawn any ground vehicle. Holds 2 crates/barrels.

    220K
    Holds 3 crates/barrels.

    Garages:
Garages cannot hold storage. You can store any vehicle here. Can spawn ground vehicles smaller than a Flatbed truck.

I'm going to add some more info and pictures about real estate tomorrow!
  9. Miles liked a post in a topic by sah in How to make Rum
In this guide I'll be explaining how to make Rum on Tanoa life. The process is different from any kind of alcohol making on Altis life.
To make the most profit out of rum you'll need a aging barrel. These can be bought at the home improvement. After placing this barrel in your house you can start running some alcohol. The ingredient for Rum are the following: Yeast, Water and Sugar. Yeast is buy able at any civilian market, Water bottles however can be bought at any market. The third ingredient is Sugar, this one is a bit harder to get. You can collect sugar cane at these plants:

Sugarcane weights two. In order to make rum you will need to sugar, this means your sugar canes have to be processed into sugar. This doesn't require a licence and can be done at the Sugar processing.

After processing the sugar it will have a weight value of 1. Now you need to get the other ingredients and head over to the Spirit distillery. Here you can process your ingredients into Rum. After processing your inventory should look somewhat like this:

After processing your ingredients into rum you can head back over to your house which has a aging barrel. Place your rum in the aging barrel and let it age for the required amount of restarts to get to highest value and the proceed to sell your rum at 'Wong's Food  & Liquor'

    Any feedback is always welcome.

The biggest problem with admins having debug console is them spawning gear while fighting. They can get access to gear much quicker than regular players. Examples:
Your friends got caught, so you spawn in a suicide vest and arrive much quicker to the situation than a normal player would be able to. You ran out of RPG rockets while fighting, so you spawn another one in. Who would really notice? Someone is sitting in a water spot, so you spawn in another grenade to kill him. Trust me, stuff like this happens on a regular basis, and it's basically impossible for players to report.
  12. Miles liked a post in a topic by (BKB) Sean in Guide to how governor works
I tried before to find out information on what the governor can do and couldn't find much. So now that I am governor I thought I would make a post on what the governor can do.
You start off by going to the government building in pyrgos, it is marked on the map. Inside there is a panel just like the other voting panels but it will also let you register. When you register you must make a donation, it could be as little as $1. The donation just determines where your name will be on the list of candidates. The higher people donate the higher they will be on the list. The term for governor is 5 days. So that means your campaign will be 5 days maximum and if you are elected you will be governor for 5 days. You can not be elected governor twice in a row.
If you get elected governor it does not tell you. Other players will know you are because you will have a green wreath over your head. The only way you will be able to tell is to open your phone and see if you can now see the red Wanted app or go to messaging and see if you have the Admin message to all option (pictured below). If you do get elected go back to the government building where you registered and go in the corner office right inside the front door. Inside is a desk with a laptop on it that you will now be able to use.

These are the options you get when you scroll wheel the computer in the office of the government building

If you click on Governor account this window pops up. It allows you to take money out of the GOVERNOR account in CASH. You then need to go to an ATM to deposit it in your PERSONAL account. Money could be left in the account from the last governor if they did not withdraw it all.

If you press the Government control option this window pops up. This is showing you all of the maximum settings for taxes and rent, all of these will go down to 0 as well. You can also toggle weed between legal and illegal (weed resets to illegal after every restart) by clicking the text and toggle death penalty on and off by doing the same. (No I do not keep all the taxes and rent up.) The amount of tax/rent reflects how much money will be going into the governor account. Do not just raise everything all the way up because there will be no chance in hell of getting elected again and people will probably just kill you any time they see you. Also any time a person gets executed via the death penalty you will be paid 4k to the governor account. Death penalty means someone sent to jail with over a 100k(?) bounty will be executed at the end of their jail term.

You can also send messages to all players (civ, cop, and medic) once every 15 mins by opening your phone to messaging, type your message in the box, then click the admin message to all button.

You can pardon one person per restart (i think) by pressing 1 or opening your phone and clicking the wanted icon. It will bring up this window which will let you scroll through all wanted people, show you their crimes and their current bounty. After selecting who you wish to pardon (I normally message them first) you click the pardon button and it will give them a window to select if they want to be pardoned or not. If they select no then you can not pardon anyone else. That is why it is a good idea to ask people first. You also can not pardon someone that is in police handcuffs.

There is supposed to be a Governor outfit but I couldn't find it anywhere. Being governor can be fun if you host games with payouts, talk to people and just make a good time of it. If you have any other questions I will do my best to answer them. I could have put more pictures but I wasn't sure if there was a limit and also figured the things I didn't picture were easy enough to describe.

For this patch we have significantly altered the prison break mechanic in the game to match the new prison.  The new system should be more dynamic than the current prison system.  We hope you like it!
To begin a prison a prison break, you need to get into the front prison building.  Hint: Cutting the power to the prison has the chance to decrease the time to break into the prison.   After accessing the main prison building, you should look for a way to disengage the interior locks and security.   As you progress through the prison, be wary of the prison guards that may be roaming throughout the complex.   You will need to have lockpicks to successfully open the gates inside the prison.   You also need to make sure that the APD and/or prison guards do not restore power to the prison.  When they do you may become trapped inside! Other misc. features and bug fixes:
The rehab clinic now takes into account the level of addiction you have Tents may be searched and illegal items may be seized from inside them The APD can seize items from backpacks inside of vehicles The APD can seize illegal clothing from vehicles Players that you have aggression with will now properly be displayed in vehicles APD names will now properly display while in vehicles You can now gather sheet metal at the prison Crafting vehicles should no longer bypass garage limitations Speed cameras now indicate your direction of travel and speed If you win the lottery, the news will now cover your good fortune Additional items may now be loaded into appropriate vehicles Gathering drugs with your gang talent will now work as intended Fixing a vehicle at a gas station now takes a small amount of time Fixed a few minor exploits Additionally, we have reduced the number of objects at the prison in order to try to enhance performance.  The performance issues tend to be somewhat random, but we have taken this chance to do a few things to try to enhance the experience for everyone.
Edit:  This patch will roll out for Altis today, and for Tanoa soon.  We need to tweak the prison for Tanoa to fit the new mechanic.
    Hotfix 1:
Initiating a prison break now requires 3 APD members to be online (I forgot to re-enable this after testing - oops) The prison break area has been increased slightly.  Remember, you are breaking into a facility and should not be able to be beyond the red zone logically.  Stay in the red zone on your map when doing a prison break! Tents should place in front of you now You should no longer be able to lock or unlock a vehicle when downed LTs should no longer be able to remove their IR laser if they lack the space to store it properly Bug fixes related to healing

You can still hit 1k+ shots with the scopes that are on Asylum now especially with a 7.62. I hit one the other day with an MXM. It requires skills other than making a mark on the map and putting your scope up to the distance and having a zoom so powerful you can look into their fucking eyes before you shoot lol.

It's a hellhole since the major part of the population spends most of it's time doing one thing; making your day ten times worse, if your mentality at that given time is to increase your wealth. Otherwise, it's a fun town being a peaceful quiet town the first minute and turn into a battlefield the other minute. You can't predict whats going to happen, but you know it's not good.
The fact that the other cities are less populated decreases the chances of you getting killed out of nowhere, blown up, kidnapped by crooked bounty hunters and etc.

So, My first few days in Altis have been interesting..  Just a short story for you:  After scrounging around in the streets of Althiris? I came to realize I wasnn't going to be able to make money fast, not fast enough. So i ran to the cocaine fields to score some drugs.. The place was abandoned, and nothing there.. A car left just before I got there , so they must have cleaned the place out..  After running back up the hill to get back on my quad bike... It was gone!!  Stolen?  I could have swore I locked it... So now what??  I decide to run to some lonely gas station out west and rob it!!  That should give me some spending money!!  On my way there some guy name Blake runs into the woods to chase me down, but he was harmless thank goodness.. Oh !  Also I almost got killed by bounty hunters at an abandoned gas station I was trying to rob.. that was hysterical.. but they were nice too.. Didn't kill me anyway... So I am almost to the Gas station that can be robbed.. before my foot gets to the pavement , I see 5 cop cars, sirens a blazing..Apparently someone beat me to it... so I just run through the neighborhood, its dark and scary.. A few other cop cars come through, I am suspiciously running between houses to hide... Officer Grimm Reaper finds me...  He stops me and checks me out.. notices I have nothing against me.. offers to give me a ride to Kavala... Very honest, good cop... Probably changed the way I will go in the world of Altis.... Thanks Grimm!!  And to the others that didn't kill me!  Things are looking up in Kavala!!    ...   Destion..

I have wondered this for a long time but never really asked.
Captains are always hard to approach, busy people, but i wonder what they do.
Thinking about policies, dealing with LT's and blacklisted people and so on i understand.
But just a raw sketch of how a day or a month looks like for a captain would be nice.

  23. Miles liked a post in a topic by Hubschrauber in APD FAQ/Grey Area
Well, I get on and am immediately have questions coming in from about 3~5 people. Sometimes, one of these questions is a simple question about policy. Sometimes, it isn't a simply question about policy. Usually after about 30 minutes, that first initial batch of people is taken care of. From that point on, I go and check Discord/Forum messages and respond to various questions sent to me on those forums. Once again, sometimes that can take 30ish minutes, sometimes it takes a lot longer. While I am dealing with that, questions are still coming in on TS, but the rate at which they come in in the mornings is pretty slow. After this is done, I make the decision of either going undercover cadet/constable, going on Civ, or going to play as a Captain. I'd have to say, my current rate is 50% chance of playing undercover constable, 40% chance of playing civilian, 10% chance of playing as an actual Captain in game. After that, I head off to the editor to try and build things that might make it into the game. All the while, just keeping the ever flowing number of question at a reasonable level. Later at night, when the other two Captains get on, we usually get caught up on each other's decisions about people we have either blacklisted or people who have came to us to get unblacklisted. All the while, just trying to keep the influx of questions at a reasonable level.

I think it would be nice with some CIV/REBEL perks that you could unlock by using your prestige. I know we are able to expand money cap now, but I think it would be awesome to be able to unlock perks too. People will have a other reason to grind if we get this. The examples under is just something I came up with in 5 minutes. Its alot of opportunities with this "feature".

    EXAMPLE OF PERKS:
Make the red-gull work for 5 minutes instead of 3 minutes. 50k prestige Decrease the revive time. 150k prestige. 50 % chance to gather 2 barley/phosphorus/hydrogen/ other materials. 250k prestige. Decrease the time it takes to cap turfs. 75k prestige Never loose your credit-card. (For non-donors) 150k prestige Be able to buy a tactical-vest from the clothing store in cities. 125k prestige Hold more Y-inventory. Expand it 70 without having a backback. 300k prestige Blood-bag faster. 200k prestige
