From Urban Dictionary:
“Dawn of the Final Day” is an expression that is commonly used in anticipation of a near future event, in a similar vein to the Imminent Ned advice animal series or its snowclone form “Brace yourselves, (X) is coming.” Stemming from an in-game notification that appears throughout the 2000 Nintendo 64 video game The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, the phrase has been also paired with various imagery of Moon from the same game.

Think what you will, but your logic doesn't make sense there. I made Strife in a couple of weeks in my spare time. There's a LOT of code and work in there. So saying I made that as a ploy is a bit insane when that time could have made features for life all the same.
The reality is that I made Strife because it can attract a new audience to our community. That is the real reason, and it's working. Strife is Strife, and it doesn't need continual development like Life does. Once the base game is working properly it takes minor updates to improve it. I work on Identity from 9-5, and then I work on Arma stuff. I can do a lot in those hours each day. My baby sleeps by 8pm every day.
Why am I even explaining myself like this? I've said it before and if you don't believe me then I'm fine with that. Once Strife doesn't have any significant bugs my focus shifts back.

There is a way to fix it on our end though, you change the way vehicles are damaged in the mission file. I dont know exactly how it works but i know you can change it to where maybe you dont take as much damage from objects when you hit them in the mission file.

Enjoy offroading but hate having a wreck every half-click because you didnt see that flimsy wire fence at the last moment because they're virtually invisible and everywhere? Sign here! In all seriousness, these things are quite the conundrum, you can run them over at low speeds but when you get up there in speed they become rock solid for some reason. I've read around the possible fix for this other than removing them (which im not sure you could do) which is to adjust the damage settings for the mission. Making this change would greatly enhance offroading in general and i'm sure many would agree. Leave a comment with your signature/response!

Boone
EDIT: Oops, probably should have posted in suggestions/feedback, my bad!

I'll just step in now. Unless an LT+ overrules what I say here, you and your group of fellow officers who know what the codes mean, are more then welcome to use such for your communications. Obviously, if someone who doesnt understand them comes into your channel, accommodate to them unless they are willing to learn. I welcome the fact you want add a touch of RP to something, and wouldn't discourage it for a second.

If its in game with a civilian (who realistically would be confused anyways, or may even understand them to a certain degree), or a cop that does understand the codes, there really isn't a problem. Worst case scenario: "Can you please use English. I don't understand those" - "Oh yeah sure. Sorry about that."

For those of you who want to increase you're RP with officers and civilians a few members of Precinct 2 have created a standard Asylum Police Department Patrol Code document.
Thank you @Officer Bill @Buck @bbgreg17 and @DonDurka for helping to create this document.
Asylum Police Department
Patrol Codes
Code 1 – No Lights or Sirens
Code 2 – Lights no Sirens
Code 3 – Lights and Sirens
Code 4 – Scene is clear
Code 5 – Ordering people out of a vehicle at gunpoint*
Standard 10 Codes
10-2 – Repeat
10-4 – Affirmative
10-5 – Busy - Unless urgent
10-6 – Going off-duty
10-7 – Back to station (HQ)
10-8 – Available for calls
10-12 – Stand by (Wait a minute)
10-15 – Person in custody
10-20 – Location
10-23 – On location/scene
10-28 – Licence plate check
10-29 – Warrant check
10-32 – Armed individual
10-38 – Traffic stop**
10-48 – Need another unit
10-50 – Vehicle crash
10-70 – Foot pursuit
10-74 – Negative
10-76 – In-route (Responding to…)
10-78 – Need backup
10-80 – Vehicle pursuit
11-99 – In urgent need of backup
*=Only used if the suspect is known to be armed (10-32) or has evaded police. Used at a traffic stop.
**=When calling in a 10-38, call in the vehicle make and colour, location (10-20), and how many occupants there are and if backup (10-48) is needed.
e.g. “Billy Bob is going to be 10-38 on a rusted blue hatchback sport, 10-20 is going to be on the MSR in front of the Federal Reserve occupied one times, no 10-48 needed.”
You don't need to use the codes, this is just a document help enhance your RP.

I'm not sure where people are getting at this being a "suggestion". At NO point did he say this was a suggestion, or that we should use these. He put this here for APD reference, and stated " For those of you who want to increase you're RP with officers and civilians a few members of Precinct 2 have created a standard Asylum Police Department Patrol Code document."
If you don't want to use this in your roleplay, its simple. DONT USE IT. Otherwise, this is here if you are interested in using it within your roleplay.
As for the OP: If you want to be using these around civilians in-game to add a touch of further cop RP, fine. Have at it. However, please keep TS communication with other cops as plain English. Obviously, not all cops are going to go out of their way to learn/memorize 10-Codes, so plain English will always be required for the TS.
For the people telling him to sod off to GTA V and sod off with this "suggestion": There is an officer that is trying to increase roleplay around civilians. Something that is at a lack with the APD at times and always looking for some way to improve it, and you are telling him to sod off more or less. Lets be a bit more constructive then that in the future...
