Recently i saw a post in the apd suggestion box about changeing cop payouts and i see where hes coming from but i believe the robocoping and corruption he refers to is rooted at the removal of parole i understand why parole was removed and it was abused i admit but i believe with some tweaking it can be fixed firstly parole should be granted to civs with a bounty of 50k or less secondly parole violation should be a straight to jail charge and should only be granted to civs with good rp and granting somone parole should only pay the officer a quarter of the bounty price also if possible when someone violates their parole bh should be given the task to track them and cops should recive a tracker similar to an ankle braclet would love to hear feed back on if some of this stuff is possible and what yall think

    Hello all,
I'd like to start this by thanking the people who steered asylum before me. Between @Clint Beastwood, @Jesse, and @BaDaBiNg_10-8 they truly made this dream possible for all of us. It was not long ago that all of us were worried about the existence of Asylum. Now I believe that we are doing great, with room left to improve.

Since I was approached about this opportunity and accepted their offer. I have been thinking of what I wanted to say. I was only able to come to a simple conclusion. Talk is cheap, don't talk about it, be about it.
In early 2015, I never would have imagined that I would be anywhere close to the spot that I am today. At heart I am still a troll from Kavala. Long live the resistance...!
    Moving on-
With a server that is performing this well. I think we are all ready for some much needed content additions. I have been talking with the development team about plans to bring just that. I am confident that these plans will be something that everyone enjoys in once aspect or another. Some of my initial plans include.
Swat Player Owned Shops Marshal law Civ Drug houses (think drug dealer) Money making seasons (Increased sell price for X product. Legal and illegal) A return of player to player sales of goods and weapons Stats page  Actual reasons to war, war kills, war points etc.   It should be noted that these cannot be done at the snap of a finger and will require some hard work and dedication by our development staff. But I wanted you to be aware of these ideas. It is my hope that you guys can provide feedback and ideas of your own.

Now the tough topic. Donations and server sustainability.
With me being a fresh new owner. I am starting from scratch. At the end of the month, there will be server cost that will need to be covered. In the coming days, I intend to rework some of the rewards for donating to ensure we are able to meet these needs. I also believe that a way to show my appreciation for your continued support, I want to run a sale on keys. More information will come on that when the sale is started. If you do choose to make a donation, it will directly benefit our future here. I will get a goal bar implemented so that everyone can be informed on our status with meeting the needed goal. I believe information is power.

I am truly looking forward to the future and the possibilities it brings. I am grateful for the support and understanding that you guys give me. I'm sure i'll bump my head a time or two. But just know, i am here to ensure you get the gaming experience that you deserve.

Simple suggestion, probably not doable but here goes. Add more transparency and information about the Gang Bank cartel money accrual for Arms, Drug & Wong's. A gang leader of a large gang needs 3 pieces of information to pay gang members fairly. Those present for the cap or perhaps those present for at least 10 minutes of the 20 minute capping time, the length of time the cartel was held and earned, and the dollar amount those cartels actually gained. Cartel capping has almost vanished since the gang bank payouts have been severely nerfed through either Asylum's calculation in the background or perhaps barely anyone's running illegal activities, or both. As a result, barely anyone caps cartels unless they need it for 30 minutes, then if it gets taken away, who cares.
  9. thmenser liked a post in a topic by Max Shorefield in Civilian Ride Along
I thought about this idea in the past but think it would be a good idea to boost applicants and civilian knowledge of the APD. In prior groups I have taken part of, there has been a way for civilians to take part in a police ride along for a unspecified duration to see how the police department works as well to gain community trust in the department. I think maybe implementing this with the APD would be beneficial with the surge of new civilians who lack trust in the APD.  I was thinking maybe a form could be created that they would fill out to request a ride along and specific officers (or a specific rank) could take the civilians on the ride along. Of course, the individual should be unarmed, not contain a bounty, and have a understanding that they may be killed during the ride along. This is just a thought I had so please give your honest input.

    Evening all,
I wanted to give a slight update to the new mission related stuff. I unfortunately got hit with having to work 3 weeks of 66hrs /ea week at work (Starting this week). This has pushed back my estimated done date pretty hard. I took off two days of work (Jul 14/15) to make a longer week and prevent being forced to do overtime that week.

The "Official Release Week" will be the week of July 14 - 20. The date is not set in stone yet. However, that will 99% for sure be the week we release on. This will allow us to get in 2 more staff meetings before releasing and also to finish up related projects required to release such as our new web based admin/moderator controls. As far as progress goes on the mission I'm happy where we're at and confident we can reach the goal set. As long as my house doesn't burn down or something in the meantime. I just want to be sure we have a good release and that we have enough time to do the things we want to get done.
If you guys have any questions or anything feel free to drop them below.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

I would like to see an enforcement on this policy to encourage roleplay from cops when kidnapped/upset.
I know this is gonna be controversial, but why can cops flat out lie when theyre kidnapped. Every kidnapping situation goes something like " ill let you go if you pardon me/drop gear/prisoner exchange" and the cops says sure then downs the kidnapper and waits in the house for 30 min. I would love to see more RP when cops are kidnapped, its part of the game. You get to send civs to jail for 45 min, they get to kidnap you for 10, at least make it interesting.

Allow civilians to see their own individual charges.
Maybe through a phone app, or allow us to open the wanted list and only see our name by default with no talents.

Thanks to some federal funding, the terrain of Altis may be able to get the spring cleaning it deserves. This would entitle the possible removal of:
    https://imgur.com/a/FdIj6VO
Chicken Wire Verge Posts (Road cones) Dead shrubbery All that dirty garbage
On a serious note here are some of the effects of removing these items to take into account when voting, just cause you hate them may not be the best decision in the case of changing game play:

    - "Having these items adds skill to driving"
    - "Forces people to decide to vault over these blockades or not"
    - "Changes the flow of how a player may move in combat"
    - "Catching someone in a car could be more difficult because more open space"

Note: This poll is not a definitive decision on if this is implemented, you know how all that federal funding works ...

I just claimed an Orca unknowing that the price to claim is $76500. Hello??? When the market is at its best an Orca is 80k. The claim price should be 50% of the current market value. 76k is absurd. At least tell the player how much its going to cost them before stripping it from their bank after its already claimed.
