The links above provide additional context or are helpful to note while making this suggestion, but the SRT faction needs some rework. From reward structure to quality of life, it currently lacking incentive to play on SRT especially to those who are new and would like to give the faction a shot. Now, at the time of writing, there isn't much in the way of rewards once you pass that 500 kills. I want to propose not only to help improve the quality of life gameplay but to add on more rewards unique to SRT/Cops that we can work towards and make the effort of playing S2 as an SRT member more worth it.
Better equipment Current start gear offers what is effectively SWAT gear. Given that you start with that set of gear and that if you're a new player to S2, starting with an MK20 is incredibly painful to work with when you're starting out as an SRT. A way to fix this is that we could make CSAT or pilot coveralls to give some form of better protection. Ways to work with this idea or rather a compromise is that you would buy the pilot coveralls/CSAT for that better protection; It's also a suitable method of money sinking. Vehicles in my opinion are fine the way they are, as long as we get some form of general protection that's effective would go a long way in this.
Reward structure The method of unlocking better guns (ignoring MK20 fuck that gun) is solid however adding another gun unlock at 1k to replace what was the 50 Cal truck would be greatly appreciated. Another idea to add on rewards is titles. Something else for us to acquire while playing, similar to the civilian side is to unlock a title to show off on S1 and S2 to give that incentive to keep grinding and working towards for those who are completionism or would like to be unique. It was already approved in @shawn's post (Thanks buddy!) but I wanted to place it here to get some additional feedback for those who are interested. Also when we get kills in hot zone, can we get that bonus money like the civilian faction gets with blood money would be also appreciated.

I wanted to make this to get the conversation going more seriously for the SRT faction, this is just what I've seen and done as an active SRT member and would like to open the door for this conversation. Thanks for reading if you did!

The Altis Shipping is a federal event you are supposed to do by driving the spawned in truck to a drop off, not just kept at the start point purely to kill cops.  Make it so that if the truck does not leave the chop shop area it blows up after a short amount of times, maybe 5 minutes?  15 people should be banding together into a group and doing a kill shipping, that is clearly enough to do the event the intended away

    @RoguePilot

Skimancole was a great admin, and in my opinion should still be. To be clear, before reading anything else I will put out there that I do have a friendship with skimancole but I will be completely honest in this post, no bias will be present.

Skimancole was one of the most active administrators who particpated amongst the average player base. I have a personal perspective on admins especially the ones that role around in a group and spam events, troll in city squares, and always have suicide vests/rpgs ready to go without due care because they are not effected by economy. Admins being able to fight with the average player base that is effected by economy with the use of their uncontained armory is a issue in its-self the way I see it. The game / playstyle is conducted in a way where there is a sense of loss when fight, repurcussions, and so on.

I've seen admins constantly abuse their in-game admin, to much greater extents. Simply not understanding how and what they do effects normal players and not so much themselves. If this is the direction the server is taking then it would expected of our higher level staff to employ no-tolerance on all staff members or much higher degree of scrutiny. I can say for fact and others may vouch that all admins or majority have done things in their past that would justify removal or consequences. Which leads me to believe that Skimancole was targetted, hence additionally this was an out of the blue removal.

Skimancole was not an isolated problem. In terms of productivity, and true respect/care for the community he had it. He was never stuck up, never thought of himself as to good for the average player, never acted as if he was untouchable. As I have played with Skimancole now this is true and continues to happen with members of the playerbase. In my opinion he was the most approachable admin due to his consistent interaction with the community wether it be in game or simply chatting in the teamspeak.

To dive into his admin usage from my experience I will start with gang fights. In gang fights, we never recieved information that would not or should not be known. Gangmates were never teleported, even in the smallest degree to produce an advantage. He was cautious on the amount of vehicles/armory he contributed to fights knowing that there is a unfavorable advantange if he was to be supplying the economy to us while the other gang we were fighting had to sacrifice their own vehicles/loadouts.

To be more specific, a very simple but proving scenerio was one that took place at a cartel event. We were fighting a gang and wiped them from the cartel capture event. The event was over at this point and we were ready to leave. One of our gangmates was dead but ragdolled inside a down wall so nobody could get the revive option on him. We told Ski and instead of simply reviving him he played it by the book, told one of us to stand over his body for 45 seconds, then after that revived him via admin. This is such a simple situation but was treated with due care.

I can continue to rant but I've already wrote part of an essay so I will leave it here. Anybody who has played with Ski understands his level of respect/care for the community. Knows he does not wave his admin privileges in the face of others and uses that privilege with respect to the player base/server. Finally, was one of the only ones to take action and step forward in the banning, unbanning, and moderation of "big" bans or "big" names on the server. He cared, and in a situation where your trying to promote a growth in player base, removing a vital member from the equation is not the best step forward.

    Anyway, thanks for reading.

Thank you @Mitch (IFRIT)for your endless hours of self sacrifice to this server. It wouldn't exist right now without you.
That being said, now that we have the old man in the grave...it is time to get to work.
    To the Community:
I, like the majority of you, would like to see the Asylum community make it to ARMA 4. That is going to take some work and effort. We, the player base, APD, AFD, Support, Admins, Senior Admins, and Developers, need to get through this together. Literally the only way we can make Asylum last until ARMA 4. We all want to see it, lets make it happen.
Thank you all for your past, present, and future contributions. Without everyone volunteering their skills, donating, and endless in server hours this place would have died long ago.
I look forward to seeing were we can take Asylum together and over the coming years.

    Very respectfully,
    -Rogue

On February 3rd, 2015 I joined Asylum for the first time. A few co-workers got me into it, we tried to learn the ropes as fast as we could. Although at times it felt damn near impossible. There were mechanics that we just simply did not understand. However, that was the very allure that kept me coming back day after day. Those co-workers moved on to be KOTH nerds at one point and left me in their dust. I kept digging and eventually figured out the spawn map, and the hard lesson was that I didn’t need to run from Sofia to Athria, and I could just respawn. This was life-changing, for better or for the worse, as I was hooked on this new digital heroin. I eventually fell in love with Kavala. Instant and constant action, while being called a myriad of names, and a ton of new experiences. I was a combat logger, i didn’t have the money to buy these cool guns time and time again. I exploited the Kavala Hq daily. There was this spot where if you Sync’d and logged back in, you would drop down just under the concrete surface and the cops couldn’t get you, but you could shoot and cause your own kind of hell.
As time progressed, i wanted to become more and more involved. I was known by a few different names throughout my time here. The IFRIT part just stuck out of all the different usernames. I joined some gang with a Zombie Dude? He had an awkwardly deep voice but was a good leader. He essentially was able to weaponize the kids from Kavala and make us do his bidding. A few guns and some cash in the game sure when a long way. I just kept buying damn IFRITS because I simply could not drive. If I drove a hatchback, I was going to die. Every single time, there wasn’t a question about it.
I was invited to join the team of staff after befriending @Clint Beastwood and @BaDaBiNg_10-8. I still remember us taking a .50cal through the streets of Kavala on March 17th, 2017, with every civ hell-bent on killing us. Every single cop was determined to take us down. The laughter that rang through my house has since never been repeated. I was sore the next day from the belly laugh.
As I worked my way through the team of staff, I quickly found my heart had been fully invested in this place. I would work and get home only to sit and devote all my time to playing or providing support. I was hooked and down badly. There wasn’t any hope for me to return from this rabbit hole. I made new friends along the way and experienced life one event at a time. I had a lot of highs and lows. There are people here that were extremely supportive during these times. I had a lifeline and so did they. It started as a video game and ended as a family.
A while ago I was able to meet @Roice in person in vegas. He waited for me at the airport and was about 2 feet taller than I thought he was. It was a strange experience at first but it quickly showed that we hadn’t missed a beat. As Roice drove around vegas, the shenanigans we got ourselves into that night will never be forgotten. There were core memories developed that night, some of those memories I don’t have the pleasure of actually remembering. But Roice could easily tell you if he wasn’t sworn to secrecy.
The point I am trying to assert here is that many of you come and go. Some are here for a week and some of you have been here for almost 10 years. We have not survived this long because Arma is a cutting-edge game that’s leading the charts in popularity. However, we offer something that the triple-A developers will never be able to, a family. This has turned into an escape for many. The typical life bullshit doesn’t apply to here. The medical, finical, family, and school problems have no bearing here. You are provided with the unique opportunity to create your own story that can be turned off with the click of a button.

Today, I am clicking that button
I have made the decision that for the health of the community and my personal life, I am stepping down and allowing new leadership to take the wheel. I am excited to announce that @RoguePilot has accepted the challenge and is rising to the occasion. I have the utmost confidence that rogue will find the best path forward to continue the long legacy of Asylum. I encourage you to all offer the same support and gratitude that you showed me when I took over ownership in December 2019. The first 6 months were terrifying and contained a huge learning curve. I truly never stopped learning.
While I step away from Asylum, I won't disappear from Asylum. I have some career and family goals that need my utmost dedication and focus. And I believe that without the stress of ownership, I will accomplish these goals. Asylum has created a foundation that will help me succeed for the rest of my life. I wish the ownership aspect was something we could easily show the masses, but I wasn’t able to find a concrete way to do just that.
To the countless staff through the years, I truly cannot thank you enough. You guys are the sole reason that Asylum is what Asylum is. You guys through my ownership time worked to keep me in check and my feet planted in reality. The respect I have for you guys will never be forgotten, and I will never be able to thank you enough. For that, I am in debt to you.

There are a few secrets that I wanted to air out as I depart.

The bear image in my signature contained a coupon code for a shit ton of money in the store. It was a puzzle and it was not easily seen. A few got close to figuring it out years ago.

I hate banning people. It was a necessary evil, but with every single ban, I wondered if the person I banned was dealing with shit in life that they too were trying to escape. And that ban may have been their last line to that escape. I know I caused someone to face their issues when they were not ready. For that, I am sorry. It’s not my place to tell you when your issues should be faced.

To the person that died shortly after I spoke with you, I am sorry I didn’t say a better goodbye. Neither of us knew, but I would give anything to go back and say a final goodbye.

To the people that confided their deepest secrets and struggles with me, know that I have still never repeated those to anyone and they will continue to rest with me. I hope you have found peace from those burdens.

To the friend groups that still exist today because of Asylum, I hope they will continue long beyond Asylum.

    Open letter to Rogue

    Rogue,

The journey you have agreed to undertake has ramifications that only a few know. Being the owner brings a burden that cannot be described. We have spoken at length about the lessons I learned. I encourage you to never forget that you are not here for yourself. Your mission is to continue providing a place for all these people from across the world to meet and continue their connections and friendships. I encourage you to always be humble, listen more than you talk, and admit when you are wrong.
You will have thousands of voices in your ear, and it will be impossible to respond to them all. But you can read them all. I know that during my tenure, I read every single message that I got. Sometimes they were extremely irritating to read and hear, and often they were downright violent. I still read them and used them as fuel to continue the charge. However, I expect you to exercise your restraint when needed, and tenacity when required. You are here to defend what has come before you, and continue what comes after you. You will never take the L, and defeat at any level can never be welcomed. Defend every community member as your family when they come personally under attack.
You hold the power to affect change in people's lives. I know this sounds dramatic, but it’s only because of the messages I received that showed this to be the reality. You should always be humble and understanding. The server is a direct reflection of how you conduct yourself. The team of staff is there for you at any time. Use them for their duties, and empower them to build with you.

    With love,

    Mitch

You don't hand draw your skins. This is the jpg you use to slap on top. The back of the hatch matches the eyes. I used 3 different jpgs for my HB ifrit and I admit to that. At least I went to the effort of making the ifrit all one piece which wasn't exactly easy.
    As for actually hand drawing:

As for your pathetic toxicity claims against owners and admins, it's not the case when you are calling a certain admin a Jew in-game and being toxic towards them.
You are very good at contradicting yourself. I would much prefer for you to stay on Olympus and I am definitely not the only one.
We can fix the redgull hatchback by compressing it differently. The only other skin that there is noticeable pixelation is the Adidas Tracksuit but that is covered by a vest when worn, and is free to all.
