    There are a few things to mention, but I'll get right to the biggest change: @bamf is, as of tonight, a co-owner of the community with me. Bamf will have the same authority and access as I do and we'll make decisions together going forward. So, congrats to Bamf on the ultimate promotion!
    There are a few reasons for this change, and one of those is that we'd like to expand the team with code contributors from the community so that we can push out more features at a faster pace. Bamf's help in management will make that possible.
    There are also going to be some significant structure changes to other parts of our team as well as policies for bans and how they're managed. You're going to get more information on that really soon, but our goal is to make things easier on the people who receive bans so long as they're not for serious causes.
    So, congrats to Bamf! There are a lot of great changes coming. MAGA!

    You guys act like he's done working on it.  Also how much money have you guys spent to get on and play upfront?  Zero.  
     
    I know for a fact Gnashes and Paratus took six additional hours of their FREE TIME to make it playable after the first launch.  Most of you guys have been around long enough to know that release days are usually pretty awful for any game whether it's millions of dollars spent or zero dollars are spent THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS.
    I'm not asking everyone to blindly ignore everything that's happened regarding Strife, but, just be constructive.

    We have not put out a patch in a little bit, so I wanted to get something out today.  The biggest changes in the patch are:  
    You can no longer stack the armor of CSAT clothing and carrier lite vests.  This is a game balance change that has been talked about for some time.   The prison break mechanic should be much more reliable now.  I did several prison breaks with the admins on the dev server, and it seems to work fine.  I will find my guide to the prison and re-link it in this post in a bit.   Pure cocaine and coca leaf weights have been synchronized and modified.  This is a game balance change that should make meth on Altis and pure cocaine on Tanoa equal in value.   Additional items in this patch (in no particular order):  
    Added APD charge for possession of explosives (for possession of RPGs and Speedbombs)
    Crates should more reliably clear when selling a house
    Cadets can use flashlights now
    Turfs can not be capped from inside a vehicle (sorry to all you who liked to enjoy a Yeti of coffee in your Ifrit)
    Tweaked how player housing shows up on the map
    Drug dealers on Tanoa are no longer interested in your cocaine or meth from Altis (they have standards bro)
    Trackers only persist for the side on which they were placed (sorry to all of you crooked cops)
    White jet skis on Tanoa are no longer "Wonder Woman" themed
    You can no longer restrain someone inside the jury room
    Non ASCII characters will no longer sync to the DB for the player name, but your money and items will sync
    Soft logging in jail will no longer artificially reduce your time
    APD officers will be notified if you are on parole when they try to pardon you
    Crafting 7.62 weapons of all types should require you to have the Marksman talent
    Slightly altered the bolt cutting distance for gates at the Federal Reserve
    Money received from drug dealers will have trace evidence on it now
    Your gang name should properly clear when you leave a gang now
    You can no longer interact with the chop shop while restrained (really?  that was a thing?)
    Courthouse markers should now properly match the "Town Markers" opacity slider
    Being hit by a vehicle will no longer trigger the aggression system
    Your Gang/Group will no longer be invited to your jury trial
    The basic VR suit should be more reliable
    You can no longer pull players out of a vehicle while you are in a vehicle
    Fixed an issue related to how SWAT ends
    Death row fixes (come on governors, flip the switch)
    Mechanics related to the APD seizing items from a boat have been fixed
    General store added to Skiptracer bases Another minor thing; Weapons that you aren't talented for will drop on the ground now instead of vanishing (like Carrier Lights do when you have on CSAT) Edit:  Thanks to both @Gnashes and @speed for their work on the patch!

    The Prison Doors have gained sentience and will close as you approach if they were opened by wildlife. (Will fix the "the door is open!" error when trying to start a prison break) Your old phones fell out of your pocket and broke. A replacement has been issued, although it's not the color you wanted. Crafting recipes on Tanoa have been adjusted for the Cocaine weight changes. The "Page 2" button for Settings will no longer float on non-standard resolutions Exploit fixes relating to Drug Runners (tsk tsk for those of you who'd leave instead of canceling the mission) You can no longer pickup gold from a Federal Reserve Vault if the vault has not been hacked open The Federal Reserve Gates now have additional security. Vehicles attempting to go over closed gates may experience a sudden loss of tire pressure. Bolt-cutting the gate may alleviate symptoms. Police can now seize clothing and other non-weapon/magazine items from the ground Processed Cocaine can once again be sold on Tanoa Your map and GPS will be removed when Blindfolded. They will be returned to you when your blindfold is removed Fixed broken doors at rebel outposts. Fixed raised walls around the cocaine pit. Fixed broken police road gates. Workaround for BIS bug which caused oddities with character respawns. (Expect this to potentially cause issues temporarily in the next BIS Arma 3 hotfix) Combat Store timer reduced to 60 seconds from last aggression trigger. HF4:

    For this patch we have significantly altered the prison break mechanic in the game to match the new prison.  The new system should be more dynamic than the current prison system.  We hope you like it!
    To begin a prison a prison break, you need to get into the front prison building.  Hint: Cutting the power to the prison has the chance to decrease the time to break into the prison.   After accessing the main prison building, you should look for a way to disengage the interior locks and security.   As you progress through the prison, be wary of the prison guards that may be roaming throughout the complex.   You will need to have lockpicks to successfully open the gates inside the prison.   You also need to make sure that the APD and/or prison guards do not restore power to the prison.  When they do you may become trapped inside! Other misc. features and bug fixes:
    The rehab clinic now takes into account the level of addiction you have Tents may be searched and illegal items may be seized from inside them The APD can seize items from backpacks inside of vehicles The APD can seize illegal clothing from vehicles Players that you have aggression with will now properly be displayed in vehicles APD names will now properly display while in vehicles You can now gather sheet metal at the prison Crafting vehicles should no longer bypass garage limitations Speed cameras now indicate your direction of travel and speed If you win the lottery, the news will now cover your good fortune Additional items may now be loaded into appropriate vehicles Gathering drugs with your gang talent will now work as intended Fixing a vehicle at a gas station now takes a small amount of time Fixed a few minor exploits Additionally, we have reduced the number of objects at the prison in order to try to enhance performance.  The performance issues tend to be somewhat random, but we have taken this chance to do a few things to try to enhance the experience for everyone.  
    Edit:  This patch will roll out for Altis today, and for Tanoa soon.  We need to tweak the prison for Tanoa to fit the new mechanic.  
    Hotfix 1:
    Initiating a prison break now requires 3 APD members to be online (I forgot to re-enable this after testing - oops) The prison break area has been increased slightly.  Remember, you are breaking into a facility and should not be able to be beyond the red zone logically.  Stay in the red zone on your map when doing a prison break! Tents should place in front of you now You should no longer be able to lock or unlock a vehicle when downed LTs should no longer be able to remove their IR laser if they lack the space to store it properly Bug fixes related to healing

    Unless they've changed it in the past few months, the default settings for shadow play only record your audio alone and not the game's audio. You can change this easily in the settings tab which is same tab you use to change how long it records and its save destination.

    With this patch, we are fundamentally changing the way that the APD seizes items in the game and releasing a new guardian crate.  Here are the details: 
    Changes to APD seizing mechanic
    Police may no longer seize items from the ground outside of an HQ. Police will now seize weapons, magazines, and items from players and vehicles into a nearby police vehicle when not in an HQ. Police may no longer seize items from players or vehicles when outside of an HQ unless a police vehicle is nearby. In order to seize items and make them disappear, police will need to take the police vehicle back to an HQ, where the items may be seized and the payment will be collected for doing so. "Search Trunk" has been replaced with "Seize Trunk". Search Trunk now has a new functionality. Search Trunk will display contents (Weapons, Magazines, Illegal Items) and approximate seize value, Seize Trunk will move items into a nearby police vehicle for transport back to an HQ. Police will not be able to impound a Police vehicle which contains virtual or physical items in the inventory. Profiteer Talents now give a 10%, 20%, and 30% increase to the payout for seizing illegal items from vehicles at an HQ. It is worth noting, that if a police vehicle is captured by Civilians while in transit to an HQ, all of the seized drugs and weapons will be in the inventory should someone manage to lockpick the vehicle.

    Players who have "Eminent" will now be able to go to Channel 4 News and trade their Cash into Prestige at a 1:1 Ratio.
    Miscellaneous items
    Players should now be able to sling load DP mission crates Players that suicide will no longer be able to revive at a hospital (if talented to do so) Cop P07s will no longer have permanent silencers Bounty hunters will not be offered lethal ammunition in their weapon shop Scrollwheel option for lockpicking a vehicle will now always display properly. Seizing a player's gear will no longer remove their aviators. New cadets should now be able to join the server properly. Also of note, we completely rebuilt the map.  There may be visual oddities due to this.  If you notice something out of place please let us know.  
     
    Hotfix 1:
    Parole Violators who are killed by police will be properly removed from parole. The Jungle Combat Fatigues are now properly placed on the uniform rack of the clothing store. Fugitive Pings less than 1 Kilometer away will now display in meters. Various lights across the island have had power restored. We have found the men responsible for turning them off, and they have been sacked. Searching of Vehicles will now be more reliable for police. Fixed bugs existing in the War / Arrests Statistics. Cadets can no longer purchase lethal ammunition from the weapon shop. Attachments are now properly seized from vehicles at an HQ. Police may no longer store vehicles containing seized equipment. Players who attempt to begin a Drug Runner mission without owning Apex will be stopped and informed of the need for the DLC to fly the plane. Players who are pulled out of a vehicle while downed will hopefully no longer sprout wings and fly. Fixed "Prestigious" and "Rookie Blue" achievement popups. Fixed various exploits. Hotfix 2:
    Cop Y inventory should no longer disappear Players should keep their primary weapon when revived Bounties will show up more precisely now Paramilitary vehicles now require a talent to take out from the garage (the same talent you use to purchase them) Crafting items you have not unlocked should no longer work The bank and prison have had small adjustments to their layout The ladder at the bank should again allow roof access Misc. Z axis fixes to the Altis map Crates should now properly delete
