  1. You are literally the Jaylen of the fucking Rebel community. (Hopefully no offense to Jaylen haha)
  2. I'm still game for cops receiving no money but everything is free. But cops definitely don't need more ways to obtain money.
  3. So since we're aiming for more militaristic now with the latest RPG and CSAT additions, when can we expect the return of Martial Law messages, Hunter HMGs, and give all cops SWAT gear to deploy with 24/7? Jokes aside I'm completely to unawares as to where the server stands on where it wants to be right now. It seems we had a massive shift towards roleplay a bit back and now we are openly just adding things to kill and blow people up. I mean it's unarguable that death is basicly the end of RP yet we are adding more and more tools to do so. I'm not complaining just kinda throwing out what I'm wondering hoping for an answer from someone important, because I'm unsure of what the goals and future updates of Asylum may bring.
  4. Good work. Patches are coming along steady and are great! But can we get an estimate on when the system to buy skins from other players is? I'd like to be able to drop a pretty penny on some guaranteed Pilot coveralls than try and waste more money on some RNG.
  5. Police vest is just kevlar. Looked like that cop should've been dead TBH.
  6. If your stranded I think checking your virtual inventory will be very not relevant considering the long swim or decision to suicide ahead of you. IMO at least.
  7. Swim up to a boat when your inventory is full, open inventory of boat? Woah. Broken isn't it?
  8. He Kavala shuffled the fuck out of you. lmao
  9. There's no reason for me to lie? Your right it is a technicality. Just stating something that is true that people believed to not be true. See below: See above. Go read your own posts before assuming a point moot. The original post was as so.
  10. For all intents and purposes of Arma, yes that is the chest. The upper chest specifically, the place where the vest isn't. I'm clearly not arguing the police vest is a one hit kill, I'm arguing cops can definitely die in one shot to the upper chest/body. Not just the neck.
  11. Ay man, I understand how your entire brain is twisted up right now. It'll come around eventually. The upper chest is part of the body, body goes critical, therefore a body shot can 1 hit a cop. It really is that simple. Surprised for someone that talks about how much they know Arma can't figure that out.
  12. No shit? Of course if you go shooting the stomach it will protect you adequately despite the 7.62 still pierces the body and leaves the torso critical. The debate was 7.62 could or could not one shot in the chest. It can.
  13. A claim? Is the chest not critical in the video? Is the head NOT fine? lmao
  14. It's ok. The first stage of grief at being wrong is denial. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. So I'll preface this with anyone with basic knowledge about Arma's combat and its damage system, knows that there are four main parts of the body that can be damaged. A limb when damaged becomes bloody (AKA, goes critical) when damaged to a certain point, factoring in armor ratings, passthrough values, velocities etc. Limbs are as follows: Arms are one classification of limbs, and are one in the same, your left arm gets shot, both arms go critical Legs are another classification of limbs, and are one in the same, one leg gets shot, both go critical The torso is of course, the chest of the character model. It goes critical separately and is one of the four limbs as well. The torso accounts for the dick— for lack of a better term— and the upper chest/neck. The last limb, you guessed it, is the head. Goes critical separately as well of course. So with this knowledge the chest acts as all parts of those body described in the torso section, therefore 7.62x51 mm rounds can one shot police vests, because back in the Nexus update, hitboxes were refined on player models to allow bullets to slip in between those spaces in the police vest (the upper middle chest) as well as many other vests. this is where we saw dick shots and leg shots to start one-tapping people as well. As the upper chest and lower neck is still the chest, you can now quite clearly see how one shot from a 7.62 can hit this exposed portion of the character instantly killing them. (The police vest also has this same weakness in the lower back in different stances) @TheRealLethal And as I said before lmao. Of course I can already assume you're going to call bullshit as I shot the "neck" or the "upper part" but quite frankly— as the evidence sees from the 7.62 piercing the vest in the first shot and making the torso critical and leaving the head completely fine— there is no argument based on how Arma is coded that 7.62mm rounds do NOT kill in one shot to the chest.
  16. Challenge accepted. lmao. I hope your serious about this bet because you totally can. Not arguing for more cops to have 7.62 but this statement is incorrect and I will show evidence soon.
  17. Very, very well done man. Not gonna lie every other police trailer video was made with heart with no finesse. This has both.
  18. I fail to see the healthy progression provided by removing the money cap. Literally nothing will change for the better. Shit will just get worse to the point where you can't even whittle away at what people have during fights. How would you like Asylum if the people with the extra time the average person just doesn't have, goes on in the early morning US / EU times on a server with little to no cops, and racked up enough cash to fight cartels for a week in a night. That's what we'll see from this, with no limits whatsoever. This can still happen, what I said above, but money cap limits a player's ability to stack as much funds as possible so as to frivolously use them against opponents who have to play to have fun and make money for MAYBE only a few hours, and MAYBE once a day or less in a week. So I mean this next question is an opinion, but what is even fun about having so much money you can just throw yourself at people until they can no longer even fight back because they don't have the time and money to even compete? That is in absolutely no way a gameplay style any server should encourage and implement. Not just life servers. Opinions aside, this community will find loopholes for anything and everything. If it skirts the line, it's fine as far as anyone's concerned for the server's health compared to their own preferences on how they themselves want to play.
  19. It's REALLY well written and good. If you actually pay attention you will be shocked at the incredible writing of their team for the Vanilla Arma3 campaign.
