  1. I really don't think that anyone would. If you want to put restrictions on when cops can put trackers on civs, then are civs still allowed to put trackers on cops whenever they want? If you do put restrictions on then how do you punish those who do it unjustly? How do you prove they actually have a tracker on your car? They could legitly just be repairing, or putting a tracker on then repairing, or repairing and canceling. Honestly, I don't really see a way to enforce any rules that would be made as proof would always be a very gray area unless they openly admitted it.
  2. California Code, Penal Code - PEN § 637.7 (a) No person or entity in this state shall use an electronic tracking device to determine the location or movement of a person. (b) This section shall not apply when the registered owner, lessor, or lessee of a vehicle has consented to the use of the electronic tracking device with respect to that vehicle. (c) This section shall not apply to the lawful use of an electronic tracking device by a law enforcement agency. (d) As used in this section, “electronic tracking device” means any device attached to a vehicle or other movable thing that reveals its location or movement by the transmission of electronic signals. (e) A violation of this section is a misdemeanor. (f) A violation of this section by a person, business, firm, company, association, partnership, or corporation licensed under Division 3 (commencing with Section 5000) of the Business and Professions Code shall constitute grounds for revocation of the license issued to that person, business, firm, company, association, partnership, or corporation, pursuant to the provisions that provide for the revocation of the license as set forth in Division 3 (commencing with Section 5000) of the Business and Professions Code . That being said yes the code says lawful use. Honestly, I kinda feel like if a cop wants to waste 1k putting a tracker on a vehicle, let them. Personally, I will use them when I go into an illegal area and see a vehicle I know I can tracker before engaging. Or if I see a vehicle I think is going to be used for drug or weapon trafficking. I feel I should clarify that lawful use by law enforcement in the penal code would mean something like an order from a judge.
  3. I am sure you could make it so that only cars marked to be towed can be towed. I like the idea as far as impounding goes. Some way for officers to vanish cars will unfortunately always be needed to stop the trolls from blocking spawn points. Seizing however.... it can be hard enough for the APD to secure an Ifrit for a minute as is. I would personally say leave seizing as is.
  4. If I understand this, APD can still impound/seize vehicles as they do currently, but not get the $100 or $200? If they were to call then they would get some cash?
  5. Idk, I did it before the latest patch maybe they did something then? I have no clue. I can tell you for sure I hadn't done anything with housing for months prior to that and unlearned the talent a long time ago.
  6. You could ask @Patato he took one for a dip yesterday!
  7. Well you can always just go beg them for the guy they just spent 25 minutes chasing.
  8. +1 I think it would be really cool to have both a legal and illegal option of refining.
  9. +1 I really like the idea of two people to balance out the pricing. I know Asylum is a light RP server, but the suit just makes sense.
  10. Ya I remember this from when I used to play civ with a friend before joining the APD. I think I was killed by the rig itself more times then by players robbing me. Something I just though of, how far is the distance from the miner to the docks? Is it the same as the current one?
  11. Looks like a real oil rig, nicely done. Personally as a ca career cop I don't care much for the cartel side, so as long as you made it easy to walk across unlike the current one... +1
  12. I am happy to drop my gear for good roleplay. The problem? I rarely see it. The other thing, I have had the same person kidnap me 2-3+ times in a day cause they know this. They then proceed to get mad when I don't drop gear the 3rd time they kidnap me. Also as other people have said, getting kidnapped is nothing new to an APD officer, some people just feel it happens to often and don't drop their gear.
  13. +1 never really thought about it, but I like the idea!
  14. HAHAHA I am sorry this is really funny. I was just talking to a friend about how since donor is no longer donor and now... whatever that town is.... we were wondering if they would put in an HQ. As my friend said, probably not cause they want it to be a "safe" town. Let's face it, it is probably second in RDM only to Kavala. It is also a town like any other, APD can patrol it if they feel like it. I personally almost never patrol there. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have gone there and done something more than just pull a vehicle and leave. I understand not all officers do this. Part of being a rebel and killing people is getting a bounty. When you have a bounty, cops come after you. Why should there be a place that cops can't go (period). This would simply allow rebels to sit in donor all day and never fear cops coming for them. If they banned cops from going to donor next you are going to have people bitching about bounty hunters camping donor. Why? Cause everyone and their mother with a bounty is going to be hiding there so that is where all the bounty hunters are going to go. Then you ban bounty hunters from going there. Congrats you have now made king of the hill in altis life.
  15. Ohhhhh I get what you are saying. I disagree though. Why should I make money for giving people blood when it costs me nothing? Medic, medics don't get infinite blood bags, so why should I get money for it when they don't? I think that only medic, medics should make money for handing them out. Leave the cop medics the way they are, if possible to have one, one way and the other, the other way. I think it would be as cops get cpl+ prestige and medic, medics don't.
  16. -1 You can remove your own money cap by getting money prestige, yes it takes a while if you don't grind for money but you can do it. Anyway, why do you need more than a mil or two in the bank?
  17. I agree with medics making more though I think that would go back to the old debate of whitelisted medics. Am I understanding that you want APD officers on medic to receive money for giving bloods, splints and painkillers? Once you get infinite of these you spam them like there is no tomorrow cause you just don't care. I have countless times healed people I knew would probably turn around and shoot me within 10 minutes because it didn't matter. I can heal them or they can go to medical, what's the difference? Already you get 40 prestige for blooding someone at 99% health, I don't think you need to make money for it as well. That being said about APD medic, I have always thought it would be cool if medic, medics got paid for blooding, giving splints or painkillers. I mean even if it was like $25 more then they cost for them to buy them. That would give the medics who don't want to soft log and want to rp a way to actually make a tiny bit for their time healing people. As it is now they only get good will money from a small number of players.
  18. Same, that was with my free key when I first joined.
  19. Hey.... every OTHER day. *sarcasm*
  20. I know I am late to the party, but I have seen several people who dive at #2. Park a car on the shore then run it down into sofia. Putting a black market there, unless the diving spot is moved, would kill that.
