    You guys are actually insane.
    No we are never doing this. .50 BW rounds are a one shot at 500m thru CSATs + 3LVL ARMOR a combination you cant even get on asylum.

    We are not going to "Test" an idea just to have me run around removing them from accounts later. Go into the arsenals/editor and test it there before trying to test it on the server.

    Mitch is extremely active in approving/denying there.

    I think theirs a lot of confusion on how the server works. Devs/Captains don't get to do w/e they want. Can't speak for captains as I just don't know how their process works. The way we (devs) get idea's through is very similar to Civs its just obscured from the public so it can't be taken advantage of (IE im not going to tell the world where im moving meth lab). I constantly spam mitch with idea's/things i want to do and he is good about responding and telling me when I'm going to do something dumb. Obviously i don't need to get approval every time i want to change a single letter of code. But i feel like dev boundaries are pretty clear and when we want to change something large (Specifically federal events) we need approval.

    My own personal thoughts? From what i can see it looks like cops do not want to fight mental asylum. This was confirmed in a poll and you can pretty clearly see a bunch of cops move to the mental channel. Then proceed to log off after its done. From my perspective it looks like a fortress that can't be pushed unless you have frits. So unless you have LT's on its probably a terrible event. (I wouldn't know as im an LT and I'm sure rebels sit and look at whos online before picking an event to do). As a dev its extremely hard to design "Fair" events. Make anything other than a fortress? Rebels wont do it as they get steam rolled by a ton of APD higher ups in frits. Make a fortress and you will demoralize anyone under the rank of LT from even wanting to play as its just not fun.

    Obvious answer to me is remove frits/marids. "Tear down this wall". Open up events by adding more entrances/bigger compounds. You make the fight more accessible to lower ranking officers while not making it too hard for rebels.

    However this takes an actual amount of coordination. You actually have to make the map edits and submit them for approval. You cant just say the line above then walk away. If you don't do every single event properly when you remove the frit. You kill the APD entirely. Make changes to the events and don't remove the frit? You kill rebel life. So I have to essentially redesign or modify Mental/Jewelry, Possibly Prison/Bank/Fed. get all of this approved by the people higher than me. Then proceed to listen to higher ups crying about lost armor. And rebels cry about getting nerfed.

    Doesn't seem like something worth my time as i become the scapegoat for all of asylums frustrations. But you are welcome to do the steps above and put it on the forums. ill happily transfer it onto the server should it be approved. 

    Obviously this is just one answer to a perceived issue. You are welcome to debate if mental asylum is even an issue. You are also welcome to come up with any other solution as I have heard a ton of other ideas. Very few ever actually make it to the forums.

    It's mostly a population problem imo
    Asylum is at a point where a player who wants to be a cop already is one and the others have been blacklisted/lost cop due to inactivity and have no desire to be a cadet again.  There's merit when it comes to corporal being a knee-padding fest, however, allowing more people to be corporal will be equally bad for the server when there's loads of undercovers instead of regular cops

    because to progress from constable you have to play a stupid amount of time and stroke a lot of e-egos, thats why people get bored. Corporal is literally a constable with better gear/uc/warrant. no extra responsibilities. Make corporal a test after x amount of playtime. not hard really

    Its honestly entirely expected to be at a single server at this point. The only one running multiple servers at this point is KOTH.
    During the time of 4 servers Arma 3 easily Avg'd 20k-22k Players 46,000 - 50,000 Peak players. (All time peak was 56,000). Now Arma 3 averages 12-15k peak of 25k. So you have half as many peak players and we also allow in 40% more players to a single server. I know people have thick nostalgia glasses but lets not even pretend all 4 servers were always full. Granted i never tried to play S1 at that time as it was always full. But 2-4 could easily be entered. Players also are just not sinking in the same amount of time. Back then players were frequently dumping 8-12 hours on the server. After 6+ years of playing it's unreasonable to expect that they would play the same # of hours. And its not like Arma 3 has done anything to entice new players to join. Id actually wager that during those "Free weekends" they actually lost potential buyers as every server was just constantly and instantly blown up by some hacker on a brand new steam account with $1 cheats.

    As of right this second we literally have the most players in ALL of arma.

    So either just every sinlge arma 3 server has shit communitys/administration. Or its natural progression
