    I have to disagree. While there are times where we definitely do benefit from outside contributors, on the whole, I think making the repo public would be a bad idea.
    Part of the problem is that we don't just need code that works, we need good code. SQF is a retarded language, and as such, attracts retarded code. Paratus and I are both software engineers for a living, and there have still been many times where we've both been stuck shaking our heads and saying "wtf Bohemia?"
    That said, if you could see some of the code that people have sent us to "fix" things, or even some of the really old contributor code (both in the mission, and on the website), you'd probably cry.
    The time it would take for us to review, understand, and test the code (meaning make sure it doesn't regress anything else) would probably take just as long as it would for us to write it ourselves. And that's without wasting our time on the bad code that would be submitted.
    It's a nice idea in theory, but it wont happen.

    After some thinking, We have decided to offer payment for our pilots,
    The payment will be dependent on the performance of our pilots in the airshow. The reasoning behind this is we want our pilots to improve and do their very best to display their highest level of skill for the citizens of Altis/Tanoa.

    I brought this argument up before and it does seem like @Olio @Volunteer281 are trying and will probably like to give us some information on the matter, but they probably know as much as we do. It's a shame the communication between the CM's and Dev's seem non existent so we pretty much have to wait for the devs to inform the community on such matters.
    I personally would like to see Bamf/Paratus be more vocal to their CM's. At this point the title of CM should just be titled to something like Head/Senior Admins if all they are doing is dealing with other Admins and Moderators and not actually filling in the role of being a Community Manager. 
    Here's a example of the CM's from 2 of the largest UK communities. Small updates and announcements like this make such a big difference when it comes to informing your community about certain matters, wether it's big or small.

    Completely untrue. Mission only runs like shit when the scripts aren't properly optimized. Mission file size does little to directly impact performance. I've played on servers with mission files of over 100mb and they run better than asylum.

    You want to fix drugs? You want to fix the larger economy? It seems to me that there are two viable options. 
    1) Remove the market system entirely. 
    It was implemented in order to make people switch up their gameplay and break up the meta of doing one activity all day everyday while all other activities were completely ignored. In this respect the market has worked to some small extent, increasing the number of meta-viable vocations from 1-2 to 2-4. But this meager increase has only served to move people en masse from one activity to the next, rather than ushering different people into different activities simultaneously. Not only has the market failed to have its intended effect on gameplay diversification, it has actually caused problems. Most notably, inconsistency, bugs, frustration, hindrance to group play, and an all around devaluing of players' time and effort.
    All of this to say, it has tipped the fun/grind ratio in the wrong direction without really adding value to the gameplay experience. So scrap it. 
    2) Positive Scaling
    If you are intent on having a market, allow it to function like a real market. Instead of solely penalizing a lack of scarcity, reward scarcity. Allow activities to scale positively when no one is doing them, allow them to scale a lot. Perhaps a 3 tiered system based on risk and legality. So for example if the whole server was running drugs and no one was doing diamonds, eventually diamonds would become so scarce that they were so valuable people would be highly incentivized to make a run. This would go a long way in achieving what the market initially set out to do, it would allow players to speculate on the markets with carefully timed buying and selling, it would assure players are able to make good money at any given time while allowing a variety of gameplay opportunities, and allows the market to reward trying new things, rather than simply penalizing you for having a routine. 
    Specific amounts would have to be carefully tweaked to keep risk/reward metrics intact, but if it was done right it could go a long way in making the grind less painful. 
     
    That's just my opinion of course. 
     
    TL;DR: Fix issues by either removing market entirely or adding positive scaling. It's not adding much gameplay value at the moment, scrap it or improve it.

    Reporting any rule breaker with evidence does solve the issue. If we created an age restriction that would require a whitelisted server, which we will never do.

    I appreciate the thought but it changes nothing. even if you increase money cap to 5 mil, we will be faced with the same predicament in a month or 2.
    I apologize if i seem like i am trying to beat a dead horse. But some of my enjoyment has been taken out of the game due to the fact that the money cap limits progression.
    Solution: Remove money cap, let it play out for a few months. If things turn to shit. (which i bet it wont) just simply revert. Its a no lose situation.
    good job on listening to the community so far, i understand sometimes some of us can be irrational me included, but alot of people feel the same way i do.

    Both the fed and bank fill as time goes by.  The fed fills much faster than people think (until it caps at ~$500k in gold), the bank continues to fill as time goes by.

    I forgot that everything Civs opt for is OP in APD eyes. Ya'll got to realize that playing with the same content without any new additions gets boring after awhile and every time some suggestion comes abroad for a push of new items it gets shot down with out any real feedback and people go on being negative to  each other with out even making a solid attempt at compromising.

    Eli would be a great choice. Great guy who argues objectively, is mature, cares for the server, and has great decision making when it comes to dealing with problems.

    @Paratus The new CSAT coveralls look amazing on cop but it would be nice to have the right arm fixed (police is backwards) and possilby have a rank on the patches meant for a rank and all that. The combat helmets would be amazing to be reskinned to be all black with police in white so it matches the normal APD uniform. If anyone else has any ideas post them below!  maybe your ideas could be implemented in a new case? Who knows!
