The APD has issues and will always have issues.  When people really try to fix or address the issues from within you get blackballed and put on unofficial blacklisted from promotions lists.  At the end of the day its a game, play it and have fun. If its not fun anymore do something else.

lol. Yeah, a lot of people(good people) have been leaving.... And honestly I am thinking about doing the same. The server is just not getting fun anymore. Sgt.'s, Lt.'s, and even good gang members haven't even been playing. Hell some of them are even leaving... I am just wondering if I should do the same. I want to play with my father more now, and I haven't been able to do that since I been on here. Hell, I want to play with my lil bros and lil sis and I haven't since I been here. I don't know.... The servers are just shrinking and its shrinking RAPIDLY. I am just wondering if I should dip. Admins seem to not give a shit and players here are just comparing dick sizes.

I remember when I first started the Church of Asylum they just introduced organ harvesting and stuff, and we would do so much RP, but we got in trouble so much at first because we were kidnapping and sacrificing people like crazy so they said we were ruining player's experiences or something and we needed to take it down a notch. But I agree these posts aren't going to change anything, might as well just hope you don't get banned or blacklisted before the funds run dry since noone even donates anymore and Identity,,, well nvm on that

*sigh* Look Tom Kappa, I appreciate what you did here today. I been trying to do the same thing over and over again.
But when it is reasonable role-play you guys reply with, "We are a LIGHT role-play server."

Bada...… That isn't something I would be proud of man....

But lets get one thing one thing straight. I love you Kappa but the truth is, "NOBODY GIVES A FIDDLERS FUCK". I been giving suggestions, been giving ideas, players have been giving ideas. All I see is admins bitch about the suggestion and laugh at you. I have learned this shit the hard way bud. The admins just don't give a fuck dude. The admins are here on the forums for God-knows-what. And the players are here to troll and flame.... Its a high school reunion. Nobody gives a shit. Its a "who's dick is bigger contest". I have tried to pull up some good choices. We all have man.... From maps, to improvements on the APD, to new rules. The admins just don't give a shit and you shouldn't either. I am just saving your life's time dude. Thank you though.

That's the exact problem I have with the current player base though. When cops and civs are RDMing, trying to pull me over and hold me for 15 mins for a "broken headlight", kidnapping or holding me for 45 mins, and so on, it creates a toxic environment (not that there hasn't always been some of that). And yes you can report people, but I know I sure can't afford the memory to record all the time, and sometimes I don't actually know my rights with confidence. Just to be clear I haven't even gotten in trouble in quite some time, but I'm saying that historically for me and recently for others I've seen accidents happen and there's no way of making it right. People refuse communication, defibs, or comp, and then you're just screwed over since you don't have "the hookup." I hear officers and players brag all the time about who they know and how they just went to someone right after an incident and got it cleared up before or right after a report even gets made.Have you not even noticed a large portion of replies are the very people who either have power or have a "hookup" so yeah your viewpoint is skewed from the average player who doesn't even know how to handle a lot of situations. Many new players I've met lately don't even know how to report people or where to find all the rules (which they can't even see cop rules), so a lot of the just try to avoid other players entirely... but since it's a game how can you have fun like that?
  6. xlOutsiderlx liked a post in a topic by Trotfox in Cop Punishment Con.
OK so as an admin you completely admit there's favoritism, which creates a poor playing experience for some, and a great one for others. And shit happens, people get lucky or unlucky, or you can just never shoot anyone or say anything without sitting there thinking about it and making quadruple sure because you don't want to get in trouble. The problem with that is it's a GAME and people are here to have FUN. After X amount of time it shouldn't even matter, there should be no record, that stuff goes away slower than the player base. It's not about manning up or owning up, I'm fine with handling my mistakes, my problem comes when I literally can't get in contact with anyone to help with a situation since I'm not friends with people in positions of power. How the hell is it fair that a gang member can  make a claim without filing a report and have their higher up buddy get you in trouble? How is it fair that an admin can issue a ban and not be available for contact until hour 71 of 72? It's bullshit that some people get the free ride to enjoy this GAME and have FUN with no real repercussions, and others have to sit there overthinking every situation to make sure no action gets taken against them.

    Yup^

    Exactly.

And for all the people saying this isn't an issue can see why I brought this up. Do u see the amount of people in the community that have this same view on this? I'm just saying take a step in our shoes and see where we stand....

When a minor accident happens on one side and screws you over on both, that's when it gets irriatating
Well that's all just admitting that the server is completely dying and you can't even hold the standards you want to because there's noone to replenish the population. I don't even understand how you can mention real life law enforcement when this IS a game, people ARE here to have fun, and this is barely and RP server compared to the other options out there. You can't have your cake and eat it too by saying you want people to be held to strict standards and kicked out if they can't handle it, but then turn around and go "oh wait but there's noone on the servers anymore" but that's another issue entirely
This is bullshit. I'm guessing you're a well liked higher up, with plenty of friends in high places, and when you get into trouble you can get into quick contact with an admin or higher up. Many times when I've gotten in trouble as civ or cop I can't even get someone to talk to me about it before my ban is up, or they say my evidence is insufficient. SORRY that I can't record 24/7 JUST IN CASE Arma pulls some bullshit or something genuinely accidentally happens. As far as making things right after something, I've had bans not removed after giving comp to other players EVEN AFTER proving that I transferred money or whatever, so don't even try to use that. Sometimes you mess up and you can't even make up for it, which just adds to the bullshit. I've never gone around purposefully abusing lethals, failrping, rdming, vdming, combat logging, etc. and yet I've got points and bans for days over 4 years. HELL thanks to the ban transfer to points BS I've had points keep even after a ban is removed. This server is all about the favorites game, so if you don't have friends in high places, you get extremely screwed over with bans and points, so when you get both for one offense, it really really sucks.

I believe I came off entirely wrong on that post, But Trotfox summed it up quite while, And considering there was more no voters on the post I believe it is something that should be looked at / Feedback given into. The reason I said I don't care is a lot of officers don't like to speak there opinion on certain things involving the APD as it could reflect badly, Not the fact that I don't care about the topic. @Trotfox gave a fantastic response on this that I believe should be better on what I was trying to get across
"I think action should only transfer from civ to cop and vice versa if it's a severe offense. For (not totally accurate) example: If I accidentally kill someone on civ because I didn't know my group hadn't properly initiated, it shouldn't give me points on cop. If I improperly use lethals and accidentally rdm a civ in the crossfire on cop during a gun fight, I should only get me point, not a ban. The only time it should carry over is for perm bans, duping account wipes, mass rdm, those things. You essentially have 2 different identities with two sets of expectations, when you're not representing the police force you should be held to the same low standards as everyone else. When you're on cop you should be held to the higher standards that are in place because it IS a whitelisted position that even a noob can recognize, however each side you play on shouldn't have bearing on the other. This is especially true for people that want to mess around on civ and have fun in their own way without necessarily breaking server rules, yet they still get points and the like for inappropriate behavior over petty things like 911 calls.
TL;DR Two sides, two identities, two sets of expectations, and two different punishment processes."

Could we be constructive with this post and try to keep it on the topic? Although I know it will end up off-topic and locked eventually

If you're going to screw over life on this by making it so you have to have two sets of gangs and houses on other servers, just stick to only 2 servers then. The fact that we don't have 5 servers full to the brim during summer is pathetic enough, it's sad that those of us here now are getting our experience screwed over by having a server that comes and goes as it pleases with population on top of all servers crashing constantly.

People have houses and are in gangs on 3. Why would you go to another server without houses and without gang perks?

Everytime I play cop at best there will be 1 bank if that. It's so boring, no one doing drug runs really no one does anything. No 200k+ bounties or any of that shit anymore. The shit performance didn't just kill rebel life it killed the experience for pretty much everyone. I worry for the new generation of players coming in. How livid would you be if you got kicked or the server "froze" during your first coke run 3 times in a row. I say this cause our devs seem to always be so concerned about new players but this pushes new players away more then 3 full groups of the chinese coming to rob you for an off road of coke.

There is only one main feature today, but it is one that has been requested for a long time.
Organs may now be harvested from dead players by choosing "Execute and Harvest" and having a skinning knife on you. Organs are quite heavy, make sure you have space on you to hold them. The Black Market is interested in buying organs from you. You may only harvest organs once per hour. Some people may try to eat organs - this is possible, but may have unpredictable results.  Raw organs can not be eaten. The smell of cooking human flesh is able to be distinguished by the APD at certain ranges. Cooked human organs may be sold to Wong's. If you have recently butchered someone, or have organs on you, then the APD can charge you with cannibalism. Cannibals who are jailed will go to the Insane Asylum inside the jail.  Inmates in the Insane Asylum are unable to request a trial or pay their bail so that they can get the help they so deeply deserve. Hotfix
Big focus with several changes in server performance and stability. Can no longer place a tracker from within a vehicle. Can no longer place a tracker on another player's body. Can now swap selected number of items on both sides of trunk/container interface.
    Hotfix 2:
Market UI updated to show correct Current price (when you sell to the market), as well as the current Buying price (when you buy from the market) for virtual items.  This has bugged me for a long, long time and yesterday @Gnashes and I finally found the bug in the logic.  So if it says Current price of 928 for 25 year old scotch, that is what you will get.  No more guesswork.   ATM removed from Skydiving on Altis.  Plan ahead if you want to skydive, or use the same functionality in the cities.   Shipwreck symbols added to the map (thanks for removing them Bohemia). Players can no longer add multiple speedbombs to the same vehicle. Players can no longer add a speedbomb to a restrained player. Players can no longer chop Drug Runner planes. Police of the appropriate rank may now scroll wheel to add and remove the IR laser from the SPAR-17. Players can no longer apply splints, painkillers, blood bags, etc to other players from extreme distances. Player can no longer feed painkillers to other players from within a vehicle. Fixed a potential exploit involving players using names containing Arma Classname variables. The APD is now able to more thoroughly disarm suspects who are "mostly dead".
    Hotfix 3:
The Asylum Exchange has returned. The servers will now perform a hard restart periodically in an effort to keep performance high.   Servers 4 and 5 should now restart much faster. Aircraft that are flying should no longer have their passengers affected by earthquakes. Altis can no longer afford to destroy all the "deer stands" at the federal reserve.  DP missions should no longer spawn crates if a vehicle is on the spawn point. Spawning an Orca in Rodopoli should leave the main rotor clear now. Adjusted weapon pricing for 7.62 weapons (per a forum suggestion). Some Apex weapons are able to be crafted while on the island of Tanoa. Added "Sell Price" to vehicles at the Vehicle Factory and Black Market.  This is somewhat experimental, but should mostly work.   Restarts now tell you which Asylum server you are playing on.   The Apex weapon crafting is only available on Tanoa since if you do not have the expansion and then set a weapon down (put it in a backpack or trunk for instance), then you can not pick it back up.  I'll talk to Paratus and see if there is anything we can do, but I think BIS set it up that way (I'm guessing they want it that way).
    Hotfix 4:
Swapping items in trunks should now be more reliable. Searching a vehicle with contraband will now split the money among all online APD officers. Drug runner planes are now able to be seized properly by the APD, and will only pay the APD when searched the first time. Apex weapon crafting is available on Altis.  Also these weapons are now on the market.  Hitting the 3 key will no longer cause your avatar to surrender.  For those that are tilted by seeing Oil Cartel (Underwater) on the map during server startup, prepare to be untilted. Several back-end logging enhancements. I can not stress this enough:
If you do not own the DLC, you will not be able to pick up a DLC weapon if you put it down. Craft one for your use and you are fine, craft one and put it in the inventory of a vehicle and you will not be able to pick it up.  Bohemia is doing that, not us...
    Hotfix 5:
The federal reserve should have more gold available now. The APD has developed new sources allowing them to see what is happening on the market. The current tax rate now shows on your phone below prestige while checking your bank balance. The map now displays information about illegal areas (redzones). Please direct new players to the map when they are unsure of the rules. Hotfix 6:
Disabled the Asylum Exchange for at least today to see if it helps with performance.  I'll likely need to talk to Paratus about how we can work to improve the performance around this feature. Spikestrips will now randomly choose which tires to break instead of always breaking the same ones. Excavation has had a few minor tweaks to what you receive and will now again give you cocaine. AK12 mags may be crafted on Altis. Pressing T on your crates will now open the virtual inventory (just like it does for vehicles). Gang groups should allow hexes to 12 players now instead of 10. APD charges have been sorted a touch.

And that's why people are upset about it.. We hoard the unprocessed cocaine to make the guns but now it's useless to us. So we wasted our time collecting crates of cocaine that we can't use
