     The cartel dynamic should be that the best gangs own the cartels and are profiting from those said cartels. 

    The other issue with putting everything together , capturing a cartel takes 20 miuntes, so by putting them all together when you're halfway capping the other cartel the first cartel will be getting contested opening the door to zerg gangs again there's no point in "gangs don't go for them because they're out of the way" it's gangs don't go for the cartel if they don't need it hence my increase the payout / make it worth fighting, because if you really want to profit from any of the cartels you'll have to run drugs / sell scotch which you don't have time for if you cap more then 1 cartel at a time because the cooldown will already be over. The cartels don't generate enough to justify fighting them for 4 hours straight. 

    So i don't know there still wouldn't be a reason for me to go to wongs even if it was closer , i'd still rather cap drug cartel, run drugs and make money off of it while owning it instead of going after wongs for the 20k you get an hour but also like i said it doesn't hurt in trying to move it can always do a test run of it, if it catches on cool, if it doesn't just revert it back.

"gang life is dead" is mainly used by envy who only log on for gang fort, and carreer cops, we have fights for drug cartel that lasted upto an hour and half it's not because it's conveniently placed on the map, it's because drug cartel is actually somewhat decent to fight for, and unless you're running scotch all day you don't really care about wongs, which is why people just afk cap it and nobody cares about , look at oil cartel the only people that care about it are DH and DS because they use the rubber nobody else cares about it enough, try increasing the rewards for Wongs / Oil / Arms to a point where you can say it was worth potentially losing a loadout for. 

    i mean i'm all for trying the new locations but i doubt it'll change anything, but like you said doesn't hurt trying

  4. Is it possible to create a keybind for using the defib? i've just been thinking this might also be a way to revive people that get stuck in the ground since the scroll wheel option to defib doesn't show up maybe with a keybind it could get the people that are requesting within range.

     

    if i'm a total dumbass and it's not possible please let me know and i will flame gen. henry arnold for this

    Make cartels generate revenue the same way they used to.     Anyways all trolling aside  i kind of like the idea of there being like a general amount of money being made from a cartel that is not server related, not a crazy amount though because there's already enough money in the game but like 50k/ hour something like that , the main thing is when you get stuff like drugs / wongs and you actually run scotch / do drugs you already earn alot of money because of no cut being taken but the arms cartel could definately do with a little boost to make it more appealing to people. 

     

    Also defrags and junke can you guys talk shit to eachother in like private messages instead of in the suggestion posts i know there's alot of sexual tension between you two but still...

Thing is everyone wants to keep getting new stuff for the apd because they're underpowered as a faction yet no matter what you give to the apd it'll never be enough hence the ifrits / hunters for corporals , mk1's , all the other stuff that got added yeah it's an old vid and the skill gap , iuno try fighting innovative / badblood / fsa / envy all day to a point where cops literally didn't want to respond to fed events anymore. instead of asking for new stuff to be added maybe try to improve in working as a team host fun trainings get ppl to actually talk to others that arent just their friends on cop so they know eachothers weaknesses and strengths instead of you know coming up with smoke mortars? cop has always been "weaker" because they always had bigger numbers. the fact that you guys are still complaining after everything that has been handed to the apd over the years just doesn't make sense to me , yeah it's not fun to lose sure, but instead of blaming the gear try working together instead of having a captain going 1k out to try and be a sniper elite or have all the LT's sit on sniper hill with their mks , feels like apd has just really gotten out of touch and becoming more and more of a legal rebel faction crying over not having better gear

    Yeah personally dont have the problem (since not interested in cop)  just something that crossed my mind seeing some posts about the issue but thanks for the feedback ^^

    Why don't you guys make an actual written entry exam like the AFD does since there's usualy alot of people waiting for interviews and i know not everyone has the time / wants to deal with people at that specific moment making a google doc will take less time out of LT's day since all you have to do is make them fill out these questions check them afterwards do the forum stuff if passed if not well you lost about 2 minutes of your life 😃

    There's always cadet week / ridealongs to weed out the people that just want to get on cop to screw around 

    Just a suggestion i thought would help both people trying to join, as well as " busy " LT's

    please no flame (i'm kidding flame all you like i don't care)

    Spent hours dealing with the old quest system because none of the buffs were well thought out in how they interact with existing buffs/Perks. It was full of landmines that would randomly go off in the middle of the night.

    Example
    Random guy has crafting quest + Panagia. All of a sudden in the middle of the night he and his one friend are Taru + Hemmtt boxing items to black market making 10mil an hour because they can buy all the items needed for a hellcat for less than it sells at Black market. 
    I deal with that and the very next day he and his friend are employing the exact same tactic but making 5mil/hr as he is now using a 20% chop shop quest to chop the vehicle instead of sell at BM
    Adding random modifiers quickly gets out of control and has to be added in a thought out way. 

    Add 10% increase to selling here and a 5% discount to buying there. Now you have someone  who can buy meth for less than it sells and they stand at drug dealer buying and reselling for infinite money.


    We have something like 300 virtual items in the game all with a unique Sell/Buy/Seize value that has to interact with three different factions, hundreds of Quests, hundreds of talents/Prestige/Honor perks. Add in clothing/Vehicles/Chopshop/Crafting and you start to get an idea of how much time is spent just making a stupid google spreadsheet before you have even begun to make the actual perk system.

    The obvious answer is you just start adding code that basically says "No matter the discount x item cannot be bought for less than y amount" which exists already on asylum. But to know X & Y you are literally still being forced to spreadsheet or make a good guess and hoping it works out down the road. This is all to say it probably feels really bad as a player if they set out to complete two quests + gang fortress + Talents + honor talents thinking they will get instant lockpicking only to find out Patato thought of that and said no. (Its also not how i want to dev a sandbox game so you can actually do what i just said above and its very effective) so i dont really want to go adding another way of getting +10 lockpicking.

    Say i add a whole tree of blood money perks but its all useless garbage like +1 repair kit then i just get flamed for adding something useless and it feels like a waste of my time. Imo its a better use of Dev time to explore one time use buffed items that you can unlock as a rebel IE spend x amount of blood money and you get a 20 weight Defib that is 90% faster at reviving but is consumed on use.

    Other Devs are free to disagree with this but 90% of the time its @Mayhemor myself dealing with the fallout of some ill-thought out buff that will just get the perk you grinded for nerfed into the ground

    Yeah fair enough , i understand didn't consider all of the other perks that are already in the game, it was part of the reason i tried to come up with some talents that weren't money related in any way

     and yeah the 1 toolkit thing was just as an example for something that could be added (i knew it was a shitty one but was mainly as example :P) 

    I do appreciate the time you took in replying to this. i don't know anything about coding / everything that's going on just thought it could be a cool idea and suggested it. i know you guys get alot of shit when updates come out and people aren't happy you guys are on the front line.  so whenever something is added badly sure i'll meme about it but at the end of the day at least you guys are trying to add things to the server

    (there you go a little trying to not shit on the devs moment except henry arnold he deserves it)

  13. Like bounty hunters have their predator / crusader talent tree , add something for rebels as well?

    1 tree  Mainly focused on driving / stealing vehicles
    Faster lockpicking
    Increased lockpicking chance 
    Claim vehicles at chop 10% cheaper
    1 Extra tool kit
    Faster repair
    When taking out a car it spawns with nitro

    2nd tree Mainly focused on finding / identifying people

    identify unknown players from a greater distance
    Very small chance to get a ping if someone is in a drug area (Weed , heroin , cocaine , ephedra fields)
    able to get a ping on 1 person of your own chosing only 1 per restart once you kill them you can no longer track them
    Small chance to get a notification once a turf pops telling you how many people are in the redzone
    Chance to get a ping on blindfolded gang members
    Able to see gang members in cop restraints on map

    These were just some of the ideas, i tried to stay away from money making methods as much as possible i know there's the claiming vehicles for a reduced price in there which kind of takes away from zaros a little bit but also nice for newer players who don't fight turfs

    But yeah i guess a system like bounty hunter where gang kills / doing illegal activities reward you with certain amounts of exp to unlock talents with.
