  1. Since the new update came out that took away pardoning bullets and bounties are starting to stack a little more than they used to, perhaps the warrants spot in the APD should change a little?

I saw an earlier post by Kelly about increasing prestige rewards for turning in warrant targets. I was thinking it was a good idea, but why stop there? I think a Federal Marshal title or something of the sort could be added in, and maybe other titles as something that officers could work toward by turning in their warrant targets. Maybe add a few more things for prestige to unlock as well? I don’t have access so I don’t really know how many things there are to unlock in prestige but i thought this may be a cool idea.

Not sure how the warrants work, but maybe the officers could use prestige to buy more abilities like bounty hunters, such as more accurate area tracking and less cooldown on tracking?

  2. I’d say making policies about pretending everything is ok when you’re being surrounded by 10 rats who are inevitably going to shoot at you/kidnap you is a no-go. Playing dumb is being dumb. I’m going to be on guard when I see members of rat gangs because they’re rats and they live to pistol bang/kidnap.

There is no reason to hold Orcas back except for the ego boost you get for only getting it as a Sgt.   There are a million constables out there that could be better served with a slightly armored bird opposed to a paper thing hummingbird.

I agree with that, and if people have a problem with giving orca access to constables, then just limit the amount of orcas in the air to 1 at a time

I read that changes to the Lockup are in the works, well I'd say that they need to be expedited. Not rushed, expedited. The lockup is an extremely frustrating experience for the APD.

Honestly the only issue i see with lockup is that the APD spawn in the open, which makes them a prime target for CEO taru hunting parties XD

I feel the only fix needed is to spawn them in cover. If they get that, they get to spawn inside and not die immediately. The loot from lockup is laughable most of times, unless maybe it’s a new gang looking to get a couple free MK1’s. I was actually surprised they disabled lockup.

I just don't think it should be possible to restrict it for a restart no matter what they do with it. Just my opinion on it. I don't even bounty hunt at the moment and haven't in a long time.

Honestly I think this sort of thing is needed to counter toxic city rats that down and restrain people just to make them rage quit. It’s perfectly regulated as well since only Cpl+ can revoke for a whole restart. The whole update nerfing the BH’s is because of the toxic players that abuse it.

Personal opinion, changing the bounty payout limit from 175k to 1mil is an atrocious idea. Bounty boosting to a million then cashing out is a total possibility

1 mil cap is only available to the APD as far as i know. BH’s are still stuck at the 175k cap, though i think it would be cool to find a way to let legitimate hunters exceed that cap.

Majority of the cop force are constables, who carry 6.5 rifles to go fight rebels carrying 7.62s and plate carriers.

It does kinda suck that we have lower quality gear, but we also have access to things that can balance out the power in a fight. We have cheap loadouts, fast means of getting into fights, access to flashbangs, access to spike strips, and the increased number of SWAT trained people are starting to make a difference. I seriously doubt constables will ever see 7.62’s in their hands outside of a SWAT role on Asylum, but that doesn’t mean consideration shouldnt be given for access to other weapons. Perhaps other weapons should be added with a hefty price tag for those willing to pay? Or perhaps give constables access to the carrier lite to tank maybe 1 more bullet?

APD is a faction designed to lose.

I enjoyed the fact you had constructive criticism instead of a short toxic reply. But this right here is the problem. The APD is designed to lose. People are bitching left and right and not wanting to play because they are getting rolled over, and when suggestions are made, it’s said they’re too much. We can’t have even half the inventory flexibility of a rebel, we hardly ever have any armor to use during a federal event (during the hours i play at least), we don’t have the tools that higher ups have because higher ups oftentimes don’t play later in the night (when i play). I’d really love to see this sea of higher ups that everybody keeps talking about and using as an excuse to not let constables have access to gear. And I certainly don’t see why we aren’t allowed to have armor and orcas when rebels have the strongest 7.62 marksman rifle in the game, access to 3 different light machine guns, an armed truck with a .50 cal on it, a minigun mounted quillin, and the RPG. Does that not sound severely unbalanced?

  7. I’ve been reading the discussions regarding the struggles the APD has been having with federal events and fighting Rebels in general and I wanted to offer a few suggestions to alleviate the problem. Some of these may have already been brought up, so I don’t claim exclusive original thought to them.

    My first suggestions regarding equipment:

    - Add the ability for all Constables to access the van. This gives Constables the accessibility to utilize a wall hopping strategy when other officers of higher rank are not on to fetch a van. Restrict the use of the van through policy to be used only during a federal event. It’s not a big change, it’s just a van.

-Allow all officers of the APD to carry a backpack/invisible backpack for better inventory management. As of now, I can fight 2 FAK’s, 8 MX mags, and 2 Flashbangs in my inventory. Admittedly, this is generally not a problem while fighting people with ordinary vehicles. The problem starts when the fight turns into a federal event where heavily fortified positions and Ifrits are being used. I believe a backpack would allow officers that little bit of extra space in their inventory to fit a handful more mags, flashbangs, and smoke grenades to be able to hold their own against groups of heavily armed rebels. I currently can’t even carry smokes because I simply don’t have the space for them.

-Allow Corporals to buy and use Hunters. Corporals are your senior patrol officers and should already be trusted in the use of more advanced equipment. When a federal event starts, Corporals should be the ones pulling armor and filling the armor with officers. I rarely ever see any more than 2 Corporals on at any given time, so I don’t really see this being a problem. I’d suggest to mitigate criticism of this point, ensure through policy that Corporals are not pulling Hunters only for themselves, but rather filling them up to work as a group. Unfortunately, hordes of Constables and Corporals crashing into federal events in hatchback sports that offer them absolutely no protection is not a strategy that’s working, and there isn’t anything else you can do with a hatchback sport other than crash and hope for the best. You can keep pretending all you like that hatchbacks work; reality says otherwise.

-Allow Constables the use of Orca’s. Limit the amount of Orca’s in the air through policy. This will allow officers some degree of protection while hot dropping into a federal event and gives them another strategy to use. Yes you can use a hummingbird, but we all know the truth here, nobody uses hummingbirds for hot drops because you die when you do. Don’t pretend that the hummingbird is enough. It’s not.

Here are my suggestions regarding APD in general:

-I realize that SWAT trainers are being worked on, but we’ve heard very little when I’m sure there are plenty of volunteers for the position (such as myself). I strongly believe there should be more than just 1 SWAT trainer. The fact that we all lead personal lives and are not always available to game should be carefully considered when choosing the appropriate amount of trainers.

-The last point brings me to this point, and it’s not necessarily a suggestion but more of a matter of debate: Should SWAT members be hand chosen or should all members of the APD be allowed to deploy to federal events as SWAT? I like the idea of a hand chosen team, but the reality of the situation is that it’s a game, not real life, and having a chosen team on a game means not all, if any will always be available. On the flip side, if all members were whitelisted as having access to SWAT equipment during federal events, filling SWAT positions would never be an issue.

-I’ve seen a gross lack of strategy among the APD and it doesn’t surprise me that they often lose federal events. The fact that anybody in the APD even attempts to push the West gate of the federal reserve is embarrassing. It is quite possibly the worst spot in the entire reserve to push due to the long road with barriers on either side and a deerstand standing overwatch. This spot should never be occupied by more than one officer, and that one officers goal should be to push in if the West deerstand rotates out. Furthermore, when I see officers get into the federal reserve, they oftentimes have no idea what to do with themselves when they get in. A good strategy would be to travel as a group from cover to cover while snatching 1 rebel at a time and securing them away from the federal reserve before moving forward. Another good strategy would be taking the Tempest away from the rebels right from the start. Any good rebel gang that robs the federal reserve will prioritize the North dome and stick a Tempest in there. Any sort of strategy, whether it be hopping the wall with a van, or hot dropping with an Orca, or dropping a group with an armor, would do well to take the North dome and the 1 or 2 rebels inside it, along with their Tempest. That could very well put the rebels to a screeching halt in their operation and force them to rotate out of their deerstands, thus opening gates for APD reinforcements.

-While what we have equipment-wise is lacking, we could still capitalize on what we do have. Many officers do not use flashbangs, nor do they use smoke grenades. This issue relates back to my equipment suggestions where I stated that officers need backpacks for better inventory, but we also need to get officers to learn how to use the flashbangs and smoke grenades.

-Lethals ought to be used liberally against very large gangs in any situation until the APD finds itself in an advantageous position to start downing and restraining. Restricting the use of lethals in a fight against a very large gang cripples the fight right from the start when the gang is equal to or greater in numbers. The new update allows us to catch them at a later time for their charges when we lethal them. Again, we can always get them next time. We can take 1 or 2 of them at a time via downing rounds. Taking a gang of 5+ with downing rounds is unrealistic. I realize that some may say that using lethal rounds rewards the APD with nothing, but does it really? Just because you made no monetary gain from the kill does not mean nothing was gained. If I have to lethal 4 of the 5 rebels to gain a win, rather than down 4 of the 5 and lose, I’d rather lethal. If the APD can pull a few more wins using this strategy, perhaps morale will go back up enough and combat prowess will increase enough to the point where maybe officers will start to enjoy the challenge of downing rebels only.

I hope the suggestions/talking points help, and even if we don’t see any change as a result of the suggestions circulating, I hope to help improve the APD regardless. I’m hoping to become a Corporal perhaps in August, mainly due to the fact my recent play time fell short of 6 weeks for the month of June by only a few days. I’ve been in the APD since 2017 and I’ve seen a lot of changes since then, so I remain hopeful. I’ve also applied for the SWAT trainer position, so hopefully I hear back about that soon and we can get more guys whitelisted and trained for SWAT roles. If none of the equipment suggestions stick, I can at least help people work on the strategy suggestions and hopefully pull some wins together at the federal events.

  8. I can see your frustration with being able to transport, but it really comes down to prioritizing. Your goal should be to get a target to a skiptracer immediately and without stopping. The longer you have them with you, the higher risk you take. You also have to look at it from their perspective as well. Would you find being in restraints for 10 minutes kind of annoying? Wouldn’t you find it even more annoying if it was for longer? Then there’s also the problem of people that abuse bounty hunter, which is the reason bounty hunters got nerfed in the first place. There are a lot of rats on the server that use bounty hunter weapons and items to kidnap people into houses just to piss them off. To increase the 10 minute timer would mean an increase in toxic abuse.
