    Since a many corporals are getting promoted and sometimes are not fully aware of how they should do certain things and i wanted to make a document so that newly promoted Sergeant could get an idea on how to do certain things.I hope its going to be useful and i am willing to add more things if i have missed any.

    It completely removes the incentive to actually be good at either of those things. It's interesting but its kinda like Asylum. Paratus wanted to cater to the new casual player in kavala to get more population as opposed to listening to the more hardcore longtime loyal player which matters more because they will bring more stable population to the servers. Cataclysm catered to the casual all the same. The casual wow player doesn't grind as much, doesn't want to be good they just want the content and in the end if they go down the pvp route the quit because they are bad.

    Before I say anything else I want to make it clear that I do believe the mass kicks are at the very least some what the cause of bohemia fucking up somewhere. By that same token I believe that there is a chance the server performance on Asylum could get at least a little better by looking at some things. @Gnashes @bamf
     
    Please keep the thread clean we could use this to think of ideas or theories as to where the lag/mass kicks stems from in regards to the servers. bare in mind while reading, these are ideas, not facts.
    1. The server specs of the boxes, is it possible that since 64 bit came out there is room for improvement on the hardware? Also I would like to bring up the question, how many server does Asylum put on each box? Is it 1 per box? 2 per box? are they all on the same box? Worth thinking about in my opinion.
    2. The housing script from what I have read on the forums is rather inefficient and I have heard rumors that crates from people owning houses years ago(or at least a long time ago) exist still.
    3. Babs, I have yet to see an antihack or logging system like babs on an arma 3 server. It makes me wonder, is babs potentially taking up too much of the server boxes resources while the server is full?
    4. I remember when Asylum started doing hard restarts when the server would mass kick or if an admin saw that the resources were being fully used. I think Bamf mentioned that it was the servers memory that fills up which is one of them main things causing the crashes. Is it possible someone could look into the top 2-3 things that eat the most resources? Perhaps from there they could try to dwindle down the amount of resources those things use.
    This thread (for a change) is not meant to blame the devs or anyone, keep it constructive I feel as if that is the only way it is going anywhere.

    -1. The issue that I see with this is that Cadets a lot of the time don't know exactly what to add or when it applies. This also causes the problem of Constables not noticing a Cadet mischarging someone (not paying attention, 911 pings, speeding pings, etc.), and that person being processed not knowing that the Cadet is doing something wrong. I can see the logic that you're going for, but I do think it's flawed. Cadets are there to learn under supervision, not to have complete independence in processing. In theory, a Constable should always be present and attentive 100% of the time. Sadly, however, this is not always the case, and a system as you want it would be abused, and lead to IAs that could be avoided with the system that we currently have.

    Honestly, @bamf should hire you and pay you for contributions because the work you did was quite good and the Asylum community all like you. Paratus is pretty much gone now so it would be you and Gnashes that would be responsible for turning Asylum around. Hope to see you make a comeback.

    Hey, what's up guys?
    I haven't logged into this or arma in an age... But someone from here decided to contact me through youtube about helping Asylum.
    I'd be down, but just wanted to clear up a few things first.
    The reason I left before, was due to the fact that I was still in college. Coding, while fun, is extremely time consuming, and quite frankly added stress to my busy life.
    I've got a little more spare time now, so I'm willing to help out with the SQF, if they ask.
    The above isn't quite correct, but I won't fault him for mis-remembering as it has been some time. I messed around and put some funny things that I thought were proof of concept into the test environment, but it was just that, screwing around in the test environment. Gnashes knows the stairs on coke castle were a huge joke that we laughed pretty hard at, because I sucked at map editing. But yeah, I sure didn't care to have free reign.

    Civilians can no longer purchase the following:
    Suicide Vests RGO Grenades RPGs or their ammo Any 7.62 or their ammo Ifrits .50 Cals Orcas Civilian market values have gone up! The following goods / services are now 25% more valuable:
    Iron Copper Diamond Sand Salt Delivery Missions Oil Rubber Medical Marijuana Fish (Handcaught fish 100% more valuable) Wreck Excavation Goods (excluding cocaine and lockpicks) Civilian misc. changes:
    Removed talents to purchase/use 7.62, .50 Cals, and Suicide Vests Four-Five has been added to Gun Stores MRD sight has been added to Gun Stores Bounty Hunters now receive payment if their target logs off in their restraints  
    Police
    Police misc. changes:
    The MXSW is now purchasable by Lieutenant+ Added talent to limit Lieutenant+ to either be able to purchase the MXSW, or 7.62 rifles Police that die in Kavala HQ should now have to properly wait 1.5 minutes to respawn Athira HQ walls are now unbreakable Wanted individuals that log off within police cuffs now split payout between all officers within 2 kilometers  
    Opfor
    Opfor has been introduced to the game!
    Opfor have access to additional wares at rebel outposts that others do not:
    Suicide Vests RGO Grenades Any 7.62 or their ammo Ifrits Orcas Four-Fives & MRD sights The following roles for opfor are available:
    Drug Lord Guerilla Pilferer  
    Drug Lord:
    The following attributes apply to drug lord:
    Expert Smuggler talent (up to rank 3): 3.3% increased payout for selling drugs to any main city drug dealer 10% increased vehicle Y inventory 50% reduced cut taken by cartels Drug lords have a chance to gain an additional unprocessed drug during collection  
    Pilferer:
    The following attributes apply to pilferer:
    Drill Technician talent (up to rank 3): 5% reduced duration to rob the Bank of Altis 10% more laundered money from bank robberies (Pilferer must start the robbery) 50% reduced store robbery cooldown, and 50% increased payout Pilferers have a chance to steal Y inventory and items in clothing when they rob someone  
    Guerilla:
    The following attributes apply to guerilla:
    The Warden talent (up to rank 3): 5% reduced duration for Prison Breaks Hardened Criminal talent: 20% chance to avoid 5 minute revive sickness when revived by a non professional Can purchase .50 Cals and RPGs from Rebel Outpost 10% increased payout from cartel containers 20% reduced chance for police to be alerted when you interact with an NPC When Guerillas wake up at a hospital, they wake up in Donor Town at the medic Opfor miscellaneous:
    Opfor receive increased base HP (on par with police base HP) 20% chance to not trigger speeding cameras  
    General misc. changes:
    After choosing Blufor (police) or Opfor (rebel), you are locked to that option for 24 hours Drug collecting has reverted to it's original state, no longer requiring you to look around / walk in circles to gather drugs Finally fixed the broken visuals for many clothing options Durga has pointed out over the past 6 months

    Whoever ingaged in coverstation (initiated per say) first with whatever party is how you take it. 
    BH -> civ   It's the BHs bounty now. 
    Civ -> cop     It's the cops bounty now
    Cop -> civ     It's the cops bounty
     
    a bounty hunter cannot walk up to a civilian already engaged in conversation regarding his/her bounty and justifiably state that bounty is his. Yes, he might have 'said' individual as a bounty, but that does not mean he can take nor claim the reward after processing since the civilian approached you first. 
    Of course you could help the BH out and give him/her some money for their efforts, but that's how the process works. 
    Even if the BH says they've been chasing them, unless they're in hot pursuit right behind and you can actually see the chase happening, that would be an eyewitness which you can't do anything about.

    If you take a civ with 2 hit and runs off the bounty hunter I'm pretty sure he will survive without that 2k.
    My statements are regarding to more higher bounties like 15k etc. 
    If a civilian is literally right infront of a cop turning himself in and a bounty hunter downs him then It's pretty obvious at that point the police have it under control.
    There are lots of different scenarios and not everything can be written down in stone for every incident.
    It's not hard for us to know when someone is trying to screw over a bounty hunter and being greedy. 
     If you stumble across a situation just clarify with an LT.

    The only time I can see taking a bounty from a bounty hunter and not compensating is for small time charges like 1 or 2 hit and runs. I will bring this up to the other captains and see what I can do.
