  1. I think that's the point though. A higher concentration of people all getting butt blasted and losing their shit is a pretty good way to fix the economy. The smaller drugs or just not fully processing will probably be safer and, realistically, more profitable if you're not in a huge gang.
  2. Rebel 1: Bera City Troll 1: TYRONE WOOOOOOOOOOO
  3. NSF trial taxi Cadet darnell the crusader soon to be god of war soon to be diabolical the 5x domination champion add master vdm'er to the list
  4. trying to make a video game like real life lmfao
  5. The amount of times an idea has been shot down because 'this isn't real life' is unreal. You can't pick and choose when you want to use/back this argument, it will never ever be a good argument. It's a roleplaying GAME. This is not real life.
  6. I think it has something to do with where your camera is positioned relative to the canister, and not where your character is positioned relative to the canister, in that case at least. Also, these people saying no one runs around holding tilde, you are oblivious to think that Matt spamming tilde in side chat every time he types is just a coincidence. I found out probably a month after I came back that I could still tilde people through hills, so I made a macro on my mouse that would spam tilde for me. The macro also proved useful for seeing names through smokes. A lot of people either have software for their mouse or keyboard that lets them spam a certain key at whatever intervals or are using an AHK script to do the same thing. Just look at any recent montage on Asylum, if there are names under friendly hexes 100% of the time, they are probably using something to spam tilde for them. Whether it's akin to cheating or not isn't up to me, but the fact that tilde even works that way is fucked in and of itself. Note that it's literally impossible to do this on Olympus, because the names are proximity-based. No amount of tilde-spamming helps on that server. I really don't know why Asylum doesn't have this on the domination server as well, considering long-range tilde usage is mostly for initiation purposes. On domination you can't even get names without bino's because everyone is wearing a mask, and there is no initiation, so getting a tilde from far away is pretty much useless.
  7. Unbanning cheaters is a bad idea 90% of the time. There are very little exceptions, most of those people still cheat. The only way I'd be fine with unbanning them is if it's only one/two at a time and they are on a strict probationary period for 6 months or so, otherwise that shit is a mess.
  8. To be fair, I've been playing here since mid-2015 and my bank account was never over 4 million pre-6.0 and over 400k post-6.0 and that's being generous. The only reason I'm sitting on 20 million right now is because (Bera pointed this out to me) there is 40 million dollars being injected into the economy per WEEK from domination. I am not incentivized to fight on server 1 anymore because the profit from domination so heavily outweighs any profit I could possibly make from fighting on server 1 to the point that it just feels meaningless. The only event really worth doing (risk/reward-wise) is the mental, and the mental is fucked so bad that it's now one of the easiest and worst events, because every cop logs off before you get to the patient remains portion of it. Also, if even a single federal event pops now that isn't a federal reserve or an evidence, 80% of cops on the server log off in the next 10 minutes. Whether it be awful federal event design or that cops have no incentive to respond to these things, I don't know, but it's most likely both. TL;DR: Federal event design sucks, cops aren't incentivized to fight, I don't feel incentivized to fight on server 1 over fighting on domination, over 40 million is injected into the economy through domination per week. Solution: Redesign the problem events (Mental, Banks, Emporium), give back lethal payouts to cops or make it more rewarding to stop a federal event as a cop, rework domination payouts by lessening the starting pot and maybe injecting a flat amount per $$ spent at the rebel vendors.
  9. +1 You'd be amazed at how many people gamble/bet their money away on other RP servers.
  10. smaller map, more interaction. stratis life 2021.
  11. ^^ I'm pretty sure money cap had a flame post made about it every week on the forums for months and months after it was implemented. It sucked really fucking bad. After awhile, they ended up implementing a pseudo money cap in the form of prestige which everyone hated as well. There is just no reason to limit the amount of money people can hoard; however, limiting the amount of money in assets/property people can hoard is a topic I feel a lot more people would be open to. Server pop is down bad anyways, none of this really matters. If this shit recovers it'd be a miracle. I'm sure the winter break/steam winter sales will help for a bit, but the server is dying otherwise.
  12. true, but u have to remember the guy was basically a slave for asylum
  13. wow in 2021 though? hop on the weeb mmo bandwagon
  14. For the investment the average player puts into it, I think the domination payout is fair. I wish that there were more challenging and straight-forward, high-investment money-making methods with similar payouts in the game for people to explore, instead of some form of get large truck, pick/incubate thing, process thing, sell thing.
  15. VDM is actually hilarious 99% of the time, shame it's bannable 😔
  16. What I got from your post is that you want to add something to cities to make them more popular, and then made a point about how the map is so cluttered with stuff that it's confusing for a new player to navigate. I think we can see how those two points contradict each other. I think that a good idea for both reducing map clutter and promoting more interaction between players is reducing the amount of legal and illegal activities there are for civilians to do. Right now, and this is just going as far as illegal activities, we have LSD, weed (in multiple forms), cocaine, heroin, meth, drug runner airfields, drug runner ports, alcohol (in multiple forms), black market production, oysters, turfs, cartels, rebel outposts, sea turtles, and uranium. There are at least 15 separate activities for people to make money and spend money illegally on the server, and that's not counting federal events or drug dealers/wong's/warlords. As far as legal activities go, you can easily double that amount if we count every single mine, skiptracer, shipwreck, etc. While a large and diverse amount of activities for the server population to explore and participate in is not inherently a bad thing, that's a lot of activities for even a healthy population number, let alone the one we're currently stuck with. As an alternative which doesn't help reduce map clutter, I think that there should be a small city placed in the northwestern part of the map, or a large one in the midwestern part of the map. The great thing about the illegal activities like meth, heroin, and cocaine, is that their main running route is located near or through cities, making them highly (at least formerly) contested by both cops and civilians, while LSD and Spirit Distillery are unbelievably annoying and tedious to get to as a civilian and are something I've never seen a cop patrol other than myself.
