    Howdy Everyone!
    We know it's been a wild couple of months here on Asylum.  We've made a lot of changes and are continuing to do so to enhance the Asylum experience.  As we look towards a better Asylum community, we want to thank all of our loyal players for sticking around to make this place what it is.  
    In the last 10+ years we have had a lot of ups and downs, from dealing with the depths of the pandemic, to Turkish lawyers, and rough days at work, this community has always been a place for people to come together to be away from the outside world.  We just want to thank everyone for being a part of this crazy community we call Asylum.

    Added:
    Multiple items can be selected when picking up items. Hold CTRL and click LMB to select multiple individual items, or hold SHIFT and click LMB to select all the items between a LMB click and the SHIFT + LMB click. Rebel loadouts can be purchased with Blood Money. Having APB will display "(APB)" next to your wanted amount at the bottom of your screen. 3D icon added to body of accepted medic request to make it easier to find. Earthquake Rework Magnitudes range from 1-5. Epicenter of quake contains valuable deep earth metals or gems, increasing in value with magnitude. No more screen shake or blur when flying. Federal Event - Mental Asylum The Mental Asylum is located north of Kore, and is a desolate wasteland of rotting corpses and deranged patients. You must infiltrate the compound by breaching either wall entrances with demo charges. Once you have activated the explosives on the bombs, enter the compound to start the thermite reaction on the front door. After waiting 15 minutes for the thermite to explode, enter the main hospital and hack all 5 laptop stations via usb to cripple the mainframe. After 10 minutes of holding out and hacking all the laptops, you will be given a random key code to open up the lost mental patients tomb. North of the compound and randomly located, is the marker of the patients tomb. Enter the correct combination and have the riches of the most wanted man in the world! APD officers may stop the breach within (right when the thermite starts, and right before you get the keycard). The backup mainframe laptop for cops is situated to the back of the main building. Whilst the federal event is active, officers may redeploy to Kore Checkpoint to buy weapons and pull out vehicles. This is not an HQ, so seizing items etc cant occur here. This spawn will only be active whilst the Mental Asylum is actively being breached.  7 Officers are required to start the breach. Gang bank wire transfers Only ranks 1-2 can submit a wire transfer via gang bank atm. A scroll down menu will list every gang member with their name/uid. The money will be sent to said players mailbox, use !comp to retrieve. Spray Can Asylum Subscribers have the ability to use spray cans to spray temporary icons on floors/walls. Shift + B is the hotkey for selecting a place to paint and confirming said spot. Donor 7+ will also receive exclusive sprays, in addition to the traditional sub only sprays. If you want to spray on the bottom of your shoes, aim at the floor or at the sky. If you want to spray at a wall/object look at it instead. Use !spray to change your active spray image. Donor 7+: Among Us, Battleye, Los Pollos Hermanos, Trump, Tractor, Anime 1 & 2, Ego Drop,  F APD, and Robocop Subscriber: Dog Poop, Potato Aim, Doom Slayer, Jedi Order, Tea Bag, Weed, Elon Musk, Jack Daniels, Troll Face, Mald Maniac, and Obunga If you have donor 7+ and subscribed, then you will be able to use all listed sprays. Executioner Finishing Move Players who are donor 7+ and are active subscribers, have the ability to perform a finishing move on a restrained player. Must have a lethal handgun and at least 1 bullet, to perform the execution.  Governor System  Taxes will now be applied to any shop excluding rebels and turfs. The max tax percentage is 15%. Legal Weed - If a governor chooses so, weed can be legalized and not be deemed illegal by police officers.  Death Penalty - Players who achieve a bounty of $100k or more, and death penalty is legal by gov. Will be executed in the electric chair room at the prison. Other prisoners are encouraged to see what lurks behind the iron doors. Governor -  Governor will be chosen every 7 days, and will have the ability to change laws every 35 minutes. You may also pardon anyone on the server, except yourself. You will have 1 pardon per restart, as before. You will have a respawn marker, vehicle garage, and keys to your governor building. Voting and Candidacy - All players are given 1 vote ticket per election cycle (7 days), and can vote at any major city. To become a candidate for governor, please go to the government buildings in Pyrgos.  Boom Box  Asylum Subscribers will have the ability to use boom boxes, purchased from any general market. You can choose up to 3 songs, but more with donor 7+. Everyone can hear the music, but only the owner of the boom box can delete, change music, or stop music. Only subscribers can dance near the boom box. Ignition Bomb Players can purchase a new dangerous explosive from rebel. Entering a vehicle and scroll wheeling will allow you to attach a bomb to the ignition. Whomever decides to turn on said car, will result in a fiery explosion! New quests, titles, achievements, and stats Stats: Mental Asylum's Breached, Executed by electric chair, pardoned by gov, kraken vehicles consumed, loot crates opened, giveaway money won, and login bonuses opened. Chair Sitting Players can now sit on any chair/bench in the game. Kraken Waters Near both chop shops, is a suspicious ramp that leads off into the depths of Altis's waters. Fishermen have heard a hungering deep monster lurking in the ocean.  Login Bonus  Every consecutive day played, you will receive a login bonus crate. You will be notified once you log on if you are eligible for a loot opening. Up 50 days of exclusive items, vehicles, weapons, and more! Open the crate via !loginbonus New emotes  Subscribers may now use: risefromdead, stargaze, and sitcuffed. Donor 7+ may now use: tpose, standidle, briefing, and hide. Cellphones Re-added cellphone app and ability to call anyone on the server. You may opt to choose to not receive ANY notifications regarding phone calls in the settings app. (Will automatically decline all incoming calls) You can turn off your ringer for calling and receiving tones via setting app. Prisoners in jail can't send phone calls to any police officers Changed/Tweaked:
    Improved the dimensions of all phone menus to better fit the new phone that was added a few updates ago. Changed the default button of the "Buy House" prompt to be "Cancel" instead of "Purchase". Firing in/near water with guns other than the SDAR requires more of your body to be below water for you to fire blanks. Changed the pants of the Tan Police Gendarmerie uniform. The price of suicide vests was increased. The price of speed bombs was increased. DPI jumping is no longer possible. The hospital respawn talent now has a confirm menu giving you the option to do a normal respawn instead. Minor network optimizations related to accessing vehicle inventories. Using the redgull hotkey with cocaine on you will prioritize using it first instead of redgull. Federal events can be started while cops are dead. Pressing T while trying to find someone you want to send a text message to will no longer bring up the virtual inventory if you are in/near a vehicle/house. Vehicle purchase notification will state what key unlocks/locks the vehicle. Vehicles should no longer get cleaned up at hourly intervals if no one is nearby (most noticeable at the fungi mine). Default undercover outfit has been updated to be more modern. Decrease chance of getting jury corruption, if you had prominent tag active. You will now know if you had received giveaway money, instead of admin comp via !comp. A vehicle garage has been added to the DP11 gas station. Domination payouts should be correct now Fixed:
    Vehicles containing a gold bar through restart being uncontrollable. The prison break prompt being able to be accepted after a prison break has ended. Searching vehicles as a cop would not search the content of backpacks in the vehicle's inventory. Attempting to seize the contents of a vehicle with no seizable content inside a HQ would make it unseizable. Vehicle slingload parachutes would sometimes teleport the parachuted vehicle to narnia (not a definite fix). Apex Predator gear stripping would not drop the victim's RPG launcher or rockets. Sidechat occasionally disappearing after death (not a definite fix). Jumping occasionally not working after death. Fugitive pings would sometimes ping another person's location if the fugitive shared name with others. Hotfix #1:

    Quest System Server Cycle Quests Only one server cycle quest can be activated at any given time Once you complete a server cycle quest, you can activate a new one via the quest app The buff you received from a complete cycle quest, will only be active during that restart On a new restart, all completed cycle quests are wiped and can re-completed Seasonal Quests Long term quests that take a good amount of time to complete The buff/rewards earned from completing a seasonal quests, will be active regardless of restarts. Eventually will change out with new seasonal quests Tutorial Quests Multiple stages of various messages about information regarding how Asylum works and plays. Various tutorial quests are added and give messages/waypoints/sounds for new players to get started Check quests progress via !seasquestprogress or !questprogress in-game. Each side (civ, cop, medic) has different restart cycle and seasonal quests. UFO Crash Event Spawns only at night, with a player count exceeding 120 players, and once per restart. Radiation zone is created around the site, and the area is an illegal area. 15 Minute timer for loot is started from initial crash time, virtual and physical loot is very very valuable! Asylum Exchange 5 Locations around the map Ability to list physical items, vehicles, virtual items, and weapons Weapons can be listed from on hand Virtual items are listed from your owned car, and don't stack on the exchange Physical items are listed from your person Vehicles are listed from scroll wheeling on it near any exchange (25 meters) Purchased/Retracted listings can accessed from the Asylum Exchange Storage Menu Listed and purchased listings only last 3 days (from exchange to storage) Asylum Subscribers can have an ability to list 3 more listings (8 total) for each item type instead of 5. Note: This only increase amount of self-owned listings, DOES NOT increase purchased listings storage Jury Summons Any prisoner with a bounty higher or equal to $25,000, 12 minutes or more left in jail time, can request a trial Random players are selected to be jurors in said trial The defendant must plead their innocence, jury then deliberates and finds a verdict. Having the Prominent tag active, has a chance of activating jury corruption and bypass the verdict Turf Drug Tax Now any player can access any turf's drug dealer If you don't own said turf, a 20% cut will be taken from your profits This 20% cut will be paid directly to the gang bank of the turf owner War Rework War point calculation is now based off the killers and killed loadouts You will gain medals for each killstreak you earn BM and more war rating calculations are considered also with distance and killstreak Ex: If player 1 has a rook, and player 2 has a 30k loadout.     Well come develop then or play somewhere else. Don’t get upset that things don’t get done at the pace you want them too. You claim you are so busy.. imagine being an adult and having responsibilities.

    Currently its defined as being "done". 
    We want to get some good testing on it. We have an extra server that Azeh is going to get set up and once this is done. The staff team will work to test it thoroughly. We also have another big ticket development item that we want extensive testing completed on before release. I know people are hungry,  but I ask for your patience. Our team works across many time zones and are working daily.

    Mainly rolling this out due to some needed fixes. There will likely be another update in 1-2 weeks.
    Added:
    Fullscreen NVGs. Replaces the regular NVG overlay by default. Re-added the Master Crusader arrest bonus. Only bounties under $175,000 will give a 50% bonus. Type 115 to turf shops. Some drugs can be purchased at drug dealers. Hatchback and Hatchback (Sport) can be purchased at rebels. Medical assistance and medical shop to turfs. Changed/Tweaked:
    Shooting while having as little as a toe under water will no longer make you fire blanks. Slightly decreased the size of the speed camera notification. Dying in the driver seat of a vehicle will reset its despawn timer. Some code for corpse deletion. Moved Kavala down on the spawn menu. Fixed:
    Plane crash crates being locked. Formatting of a revive notification for new players. Speed camera notifications not showing up for cops. A bug causing physical house inventories to be wiped. Receiving 0 gold nuggets/treasures from gifts. Some exploits. Hotfix #1:

Sellable at Commodities Trader, Jewelry Stores, Turfs, and Rebels New plane crash sites will randomly appear across the map APD are welcome to come fight for the ability to seize the crate for some good money depending on the value of goods. The zone will be treated as a red zone. The contents inside can be illegal/legal as well. Van (Transport) added to the SWAT garage vehicle list. Orcas have been added to the AFD vehicle motorpool. Medics can now open/close bar gates remotely, both old and the new models APD can now open the new version bar gates as well Speed Traps added back in. New location(s) added. There are specific poles at the locations that signify it being a speed trap. We left the nasty screen flash out. Traffic Cameras Each Speed Trap location has a pole with mounted cameras that the APD can use. Officer must have the "UAV Terminal" in the GPS slot to get the options. Officer then can select any speed trap cameras to view within 5km of the cameras location. While in traffic cameras you will be unable to hear things going on around you character, this may include VOIP. APD may be releasing further information/policy on usage of traffic cameras. Role Playing Grenade Launcher has been added again to both Blood Money shops and Rebels at a steep price. When players are near vehicle smokes their screen will become blurry. An "X" button to close the redeploy menu for the APD. Changed/Tweaked:
    Message History GUI updated. Detailed message history and able to see full messages as well as the players group tag. Jump height is now constant and not based off player weight. Admin/Event Gifts Should now wait until you're alive and will wait for you to lose some weight. Admin gifts will now give a warning that the contents may be illegal. Admins can no longer spam gifts by accident. SWAT specific items removed from loadout spawning for Evidence Lockup when non-SWAT. Cop cap will be removed when player count is 95+ (all slots will be available). New textures for AFD vehicles (Offroad/Hatchbacks/Strider/SUV/Orca). Civilians should no longer be able to co-pilot medic aircraft. Subscriber Hatchback has been changed to a Halloween texture. New player revive fee has been made significantly cheaper. Wolf Dew texture now requires the necessary achievement to unlock. The cost of the mining/gather device tempest has increased. Medic boat shops should be working now and garage should show properly. All civilian boat areas should now have medic spawns added to them. Medic rank requirements for some vehicles should be changed. Rank 2 for the Sport Hatch, Hummingbird Rank 3 for the boats Cops should now be able to search/seize containers/tents. The "Refill Magazines" action will now work if the loaded magazine is unfull and the rest of your magazines are full. How vehicle cleanup timers are reset. Updated the UI of the house menu. You can now choose different colors for the house light. You can now see the combined cost of your house's bank/market value and inventory/aging barrel upgrades. You can now remove the gang house and keep your gang. You can now set another house as your gang house, replacing the old one. Gang creation no longer requires a house, but instead costs $25,000. This can be done through the phone. Significantly decreased the amount of time it takes to initalize houses after server restarts. Purchasing from a medical supply crate will now pay the medic who owns that crate. The prices are 3x the normal value for the convenience of having it anywhere on the map. Replaced the random medical supply drops with a manually called in version that acts as a mobile medics shop. Tweaked the auto run script to only be cancelled by WASD. This allows you you alt tab now without it cancelling. The "X" button on some menus (e.g weapon shop menu, loadout menu) was changed to look better. Fixed:
    SWAT End Scroll Wheel action should stay longer now. Cops of sufficient rank/role can now use undercover Hunters. Hurons for cops no longer require the undercover role to be pulled. Shooting blanks after being downed and killed shortly after. Rangefinders counted as weapons in certain checks. The NVG effect will automatically apply now for admin events and their preview cinematic. Removed:
    Medic Air Drop crates. Quest Stuff commented out temporarily (this includes the menu that was previously available)  
    Hotfix #1 and #2:
    Fixed an anticheat false positive for cops. Disabled APB until it can be looked at properly (caused issues for cops: lag, delays, redgulls not working etc). Fixed 2 other script errors. Fixed gang house changing/removing being possible for ranks below 1. Fixed the normal and supervisor medic Hatchback Sport skins being swapped. Fixed medic Rhib skin only covering half of the boat. Fixed the convoy event taking money with an insufficient amount of cops online. Hotfix #3:
    Fixed requirements to use the medic Rhib skin. Fixed inability to purchase aging barrels for houses. Fixed gang creation being abrupted if you were already in a group. Fixed alcohol aging (server shouldn't be as laggy as it's been so far this update). Fixed the ability to check your own charges. Tweaked the blur effect when near vehicle smokes. Added more civilian slots. Hotfix #4:
    Potentially made house upgrades work more reliably. Fixed weapon/loadout menu closing instantly when opened. Fixed players not being able to interact with garages etc after being in the graveyard event. Hotfix #5:
    Fixed plane crash markers not deleting. Fixed SWAT van. Fixed the naming of the Hatchback Sport subscriber skin. Fixed some issues regarding the graveyard admin event. Fixed some issues regarding the cop vehicle shop for certain ranks/roles. Fixed stat tracking for coffee consumption. Fixed the "Drop" button being disabled for cops in the warrant role. Fixed syncing near the prison causing your loadout to be wiped. Re-added APB.

    Hello Asylum Gamers, 

    Today, I would like to hear from you, the community, on what you would like to see added to Cartel life.

    I feel that Cartel fighting on this server is very non existant, and it seems that, as a community, we have shifted more towards fighting cops than going to fight cartels in more recent times.

    I am here to listen to you all on what you would like to see added or brought back to Asylum. I would like to stay on topic with this so if you have any suggestions please feel free to comment on this thread. 

    The very point of this post is to revive cartel fighting/Gang life, so if you have any ideas, feel free to share. I am told this would be impossible, but I feel this could changed.
