    Every time a Chinese player sees that you don't have a gun in your hand, he doesn't want to hurt you. But then you hit our plane with your car and opened fire on our Chinese players without sending robbery messages. Many times your RDM and VDM didn't report you.
    My English is not very good. If there is something wrong, please let me say sorry to you.

    ASYLUMS MOST WANTED CRIMINAL
    The APD have captured Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal. He is being detained at one of the APD's Processing Facilities. During in-processing the phone lines go down. The APD need to contact higher authorities to seek further guidance on his charges and sentencing. They know that other criminals of Asylum want his bounty so they can turn him in for a reward at prison.
    Scenario/Events: Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal is being held at an APD Processing Facility. The APD are heavily barricaded and armored. They need to contact higher authorities but their phone lines are down. Attempt to secure him from the APD before the phone lines are repaired. Asylum's most wanted criminal cannot be sent to jail if Rebels are within the compound. Reinforcements cannot be called with Rebels in the compound. Once Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal is secured you will have to turn him in at the laptop in the Prison Barracks. Beware of removing him from the compound without a plan because his ankle bracelet will notify the APD of his escape and they will immediately send all available reinforcements. If the rebels of Asylum cannot secure him from the APD then he will be sent to Prison. If you break him out of prison he will take you to his gang headquarters and reward you for his rescue from prison. If a prison has been done and cannot be initiated a timer will be started once rebels have gained custody of the Prison Compound to simulate a prison.
     
    RULES  (PLEASE READ ALL THE FACTIONS):
    COPS:
    May down/lethal anyone approaching the APD Processing Facility. Must remain inside the APD Processing Facility at all times when Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal is in APD custody. If Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal is secured by rebels and escorted outside of the Processing Facility the APD must attempt to regain custody at all costs. APD officers no longer have a life limit rule after he is removed from the Processing facility. Rebels still attacking the Processing Facility are of no interest to the APD. Responsible for tracking own lives. If you are caught abusing your given lives at the Processing Facility you will be banned accordingly. Cops that die and are returning to the Processing Facility shall not stop outside to engage attackers. They must make a significant effort to return to the cop ranks before engaging attackers. Officers can shoot once you reach a gate. CIVS:
    Must initiate on all players besides the APD that are attacking the APD Processing Facility or the people in direct custody/general vicinity of Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal. If you are in custody/general vicinity of Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal you are considered a threat and will not need to be initiated on. No explosives are to be used on armored APD vehicles. Server rules not altered by this post are still being enforced. Bank/Federal Reserve/Evidence Lockup are not allowed during the event. (Don't test this) MEDICS:
    Continue on as normal.  
    HOW TO WIN EVENT  (EACH BULLET IS A WAY TO WIN):
    COPS:
    Prevent rebels from securing Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal and send him to jail. Prevent them from breaking him out of Prison. CIVS:
    Secure Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal from the APD and deliver him to the laptop in the Prison Barracks. Break Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal out of Prison if the APD are able to hold out and send him. MEDICS:
    You cannot win the event. Get some revives in.  
    REWARDS  (DEPENDENT ON OUTCOME):
    COPS: 
    You will find the delivery truck of Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal. Seizing its contents will help improve the quality of life for the APD. (Scaled per how many cops are on) CIVS:
    DELIVERING HIM TO PRISON: Your gang will be given cash from Asylum's Prison Keeper (Scaled to how many civs are in the winning group) RESCUING HIM FROM PRISON: You will be taken to Asylum's Most Wanted Criminal's gang headquarters and given the keys to his delivery truck. Its contents will make you rich. You must be within the prison compound/very immediate vicinity to get a reward if the Prison Break is successful. (Scaled to how many civs are in the winning group) MEDICS:
    No rewards. Get some revives in.  
    ASYLUMS MOST WANTED CRIMINAL INFORMATION:
    He will not be able to be downed/killed. (If you walk up to him and ask him to follow you he will but you must be directly next to him.) His location will be marked constantly on your map. He will be located in the APD Processing Facility at the start of the event. If he is ever left alone he will attempt to flee at all costs. If he happens to gain custody of a vehicle it must be disabled in order to stop him. He cannot be loaded into a helicopter. He must not be restrained. Most recent mugshot:            
     
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    This is a trial event. I will tweak and try to make it better each time. Participation is not required. Don't complain if you lose something by participating. No event is ever fully fair. Nobody cares if you cry about it. If you lose something from a server violation or a violation of one of the rules stated above then submit a support ticket. Do not complain in game about it. If you do repeatedly you will just be banned and you can come talk about it at a later date. If you actually have feedback that is useful then message Rogue on discord. If you spam dumb information there you will be banned.

    We're currently working around the clock on it basically. We'll see where we're at tomorrow. We wipe a few things off the list and several more pop up. Nearly all server code has been re-written for current stuff in. Also, a lot has changed clientside code wise to improve readability, functionality, and making stuff more scale-able.
    However, we are in my opinion about 24hrs - 36hrs behind where I expected to be. Not necessarily that many development hours, just a day and a half behind schedule. Which is pretty good considering I gave the week almost a month ago. It does look like we may need to push it to release next mid-week (Which if we do that, we'll release with the contact stuff and such at the same time). However, we could do it Saturday. Really depends how our testing continues and what we realize we're forgetting and what is missing as we go. I also work Sat-Mon, so I'd really rather not release it then leave for work in the event issues crop up while I'm working, I wouldn't be able to do anything.

    You can see below we literally have timestamps at all times of day... 3AM, 4AM, 12PM, 1PM, etc...

    Evening all,
    I wanted to give a slight update to the new mission related stuff. I unfortunately got hit with having to work 3 weeks of 66hrs /ea week at work (Starting this week). This has pushed back my estimated done date pretty hard. I took off two days of work (Jul 14/15) to make a longer week and prevent being forced to do overtime that week. 

    The "Official Release Week" will be the week of July 14 - 20. The date is not set in stone yet. However, that will 99% for sure be the week we release on. This will allow us to get in 2 more staff meetings before releasing and also to finish up related projects required to release such as our new web based admin/moderator controls. As far as progress goes on the mission I'm happy where we're at and confident we can reach the goal set. As long as my house doesn't burn down or something in the meantime. I just want to be sure we have a good release and that we have enough time to do the things we want to get done.

    the servers are still up. our community is actually more refined more than ever. as @Roice mentioned we are under new ownership and they are actually listening to the community when it comes to suggestions. Asylum v2 is (or what I understand it to be) a completely new rewrite of the old script; but even better. We now have more staff on board than before (or at least active staff).

    Good Evening Friends,
     
    First off I want to thank the community for your support.  Because of your support we continue to try to bring you guys new content and new changes that hopefully spark the fun that Asylum was founded on.  Because of your continued support, our developers are working very hard to produce you the new version we are all looking forward to.  We are on the home stretch and I thank you for your patience.
     
     
    Next order of business is a change that none of us saw coming, but, one for the better.  My business partner and long-time friend @BaDaBiNg_10-8 has taken a new opportunity at his work.  Because of this position Bada, unfortunately, will no longer have time for Asylum.  As an Administrator, player and an owner he has spent the better part of six years with this community.
    Thank you for your diligence, hard work and most of all your friendship to us.
     
    On a more business related note, our Developer @Jesse, will be taking over ownership of Asylum along side me (after a few more items are hashed out of course).  Jesse has spent the last 6 months revitalizing and securing a future for Asylum.  Jesse will continue with design and development of our servers and the new and exciting future of Asylum V2.

    So currently the development team is looking for some additional help. We are in need of people for various specialized positions. To help streamline the process we've also created a new method for submitting applications for the positions listed below.
    Positions Available:
    Gfx Designer - 1 Position(s) available at this time Map Designer - 1 Position(s) available at this time Content Developer - 1 Position(s) available at this time Web Developer - 1 Position(s) available at this time Description of Positions
    Gfx Designer: The role of the graphic designer is to support the other positions (web/content/map) by creating graphics not limited to but mainly textures/icons/images. These graphics could be displayed on the website, in-game on billboards, or used on new textures for vehicles. The content created is to be of quality and should show that thought and effort was put in to the work. Map Designer: The role of the map designer is to support the on-going in-game development of the content developers and creating new map areas or modifying requested portions of the map from either the developers or from upper server management. You could be creating totally new areas on the map for a new server event, new runs, or new objectives. You could also just be making slight adjustments to object orientations and helping perfect object placement on the map and such. Content Developer: Developers are going to be primarily working on new in-game content, bug fixes, exploit resolutions, etc. This role is relatively self explanatory I feel... Web Developer: The role of the web developer will be to create or modify existing web applications and features. This could include modification of forum configurations, content, and flow. This will also involve the creating, updating, and maintaining of various systems such as admin control panels for in-game content management systems. Position Requirements:
    ALL POSITIONS: Must be at least 18 years old at time of applying. Must have work examples or proof of knowledge for the position you are applying for. Must have the ability to required software/programs to do the role. Must not be completely brain-dead and have the ability to comprehend given tasks and ask semi-intelligent questions if help is required with your task. If I can find the answer on Google in 5 seconds... it's a stupid question Ability to use TeamSpeak as primary method of communication and Discord as a secondary. Ability to tolerate my mood swings and not take the mean things I say occasionally to heart. Ability to self improve based off of criticism.  
    Gfx Designer: Access to Photoshop or another content creation tool. Working knowledge of TexView 2 (to convert images to .paa for A3). Map Designer: Knowledge of how to use the Arma 3 Map Editor. Content Developer: Adequate knowledge of SQF. Knowledge of version control systems such as git. Can at least make it by in the Arma 3 Editor. Thick skin. Web Developer: Working knowledge of any of the following PHP/HTML/CSS Knowledge of version control systems such as git. Knowledge of common web related exploits and vulnerabilites such as XSS, CSRF, etc. How to Apply:

    Illegal Areas (two life rule)  **UPDATE**
    When entering any illegal area, officers now have a two life rule.
    Officers may only patrol illegal areas once every 20 minutes if no suspicious activity is observed that requires their attention.
    Officers are allowed to return to illegal areas before the 20 minute timer is up under the following circumstances:
    If a 911 text is sent within the illegal area. If a fugitive pings from inside of the illegal area. If a vehicle with a tracker enters the illegal area. If nearby traffic enters the illegal area. Active visual pursuit into the illegal area. If an officer needs to update a warrant or APB. If an officer dies within an illegal area, they may return one more time per engagement.
    The two life rule does not apply when there are 5 or less officers online.
