Absolutely not I'm afraid. The training officers received a most specific decree, "Thou shalt not host trainings upon the ends of the weeks, to include the days of Fri (Friday), Satur (Saturday), or Sun (Sunday)." It is important that we not violate this sacred order, lest we incur the wrath of the powers on high, whom reserve the sentence of death for those who transgress.

    1) Cops should not be using drugs while on duty. With the exception of UC officers, who may do so when necessary to keep their cover.
    2) To my knowledge, there is no set in stone rule of when you can or can't use the pullout option, but use common sense. If it is likely to cause an explosion of the heli and kill the guy, why bother? If he hasn't actually taken off yet, but is spooled, by all means. Hard to give a solid answer here, as it tends to be case by case on whether or not it was reasonable.
    3) If you have a 1 minute all clear and begin seizing, you do not need to stop in the middle of your seize. It is not your fault they chose to wait long enough for you to seize.
    4) It seems rare that this would happen, as typically if they stored it, they have keys. Nonetheless, if they don't have the gun anymore, and you saw them with it, there is only one other reasonable place it could be.
    5) Cops are human, and as humans, they make mistakes. In this situation, it kind of depends. What was the rule broken? Would it have made a difference on his capture or not? You need to use some discretion here, but ultimately, just be fair. You do need to take the weapon if it is illegal, for sure. Most of the time I see these individuals get pardoned (fair is fair) but I have, on occasion, seen it be treated as just turning themselves in depending on what policy it was that was violated. Finally, while you are not necessarily obliged to comp him, it would certainly be the right thing to do.

Hope this answered everything. If not, quote me for more clarification and I'm happy to help.

    Training Team/Server Announcement
                                                                                     (Edit 11/30)

For those who aren't aware or haven't seen, @Bilbo Bagginshas retired from Training Commander and has put me in place as Commander. We also have @Jr4life24who got recently promoted within the team to Training Team Supervisor. Bilbo will retain the role of Training Officer (similar to how a retiring Captain still holds Captain perms in game to an extent).

As of 11/30/22 @Junkerhas been promoted to the role of Training Team Commander. All Training Team duties will continue the same and I will continue to help guide the Team whenever needed!

    - We've migrated the Training server over so I'm maintaining it monetarily into the foreseeable future, as it stays up.

    - @ObiWokiand @Mitchare both still acting devs for the Training Server when needed. ❤️

    - The Training Hub is now apart of the default server and will be used as the core area to train officers which should make trainings a little more fun and different.

    - Coming soon, there will be fun competitive trainings that will have main server money rewards for the top performing officers. For example a shoot house that whoever has the fastest time clearing it gets 75k, etc. Things like that! Making it more fun and worth it overall while still practicing skills.

    - I don't personally speak for SWAT, but they will be hosting their tryouts/trainings on the Training Server which can be seen in APD-Announcements on the discord (similar to normal trainings), so keep a look out for those if you're interested. Feel free to even reach out to a SWAT TO if you have any questions (also check their posts in the Training Center for more info).

    ----------------------------------------------------
You're always welcome to make a post in the Training Center if you'd like to request a training. We don't get those much anymore, so feel free to think of unique ideas that we can host as well! Even if it's just a basic training that you and a few other officers would like to see, make a post about it.

Also, if you're interested in becoming a Training Officer, keep on the lookout for an updated post about applications being open!

This charge is not to be stacked with Possession of an Illegal Firearm. Officers may, at their discretion, choose which charge to apply.
Ex. If a licensed bounty hunter uses their mx against an officer, the officer may charge the bounty hunter with EITHER Possession of an Illegal Firearm or Abuse of Bounty Hunter Weapon NOT both.

To all officers of the APD,

Recently, the APD Training Team has run into an issue that resulted in many of our resources pertaining to the Mock-Certification program to become unusable, leaving the program in a state that it could not function. In order to get the program back up and running as soon as possible, I have taken the time to sit down and recreate the program from almost stage one. While this will not have a great effect on most of you in the APD, there are a few changes to how the program operates now that you should all be aware of.

First off, I want to start by stating that officers who were already mock-certified will maintain their certification. For any new officers looking to join the program, however, there has been a slight change to how officers become mock-certified. In the past, officers were required to submit an application for mock-certification prior to going for an interview. However, this system proved to be ineffective and unnecessary. Going forward, no application will be required to attain a mock-certification interview. Rather, you need only to approach a Training Officer and request an interview to become mock-certified. They will ask you for your application so they can check if you meet the requirements to become a mock-certified officer. If you do, you may go forward and take your interview at that point in time.

The requirements to receive an interview are as follows:

    - Must have been a constable for a minimum of 1 month
    - Must be in good standing in the APD (No active disciplinary action)
    - Must have attended at least 2 trainings

For further information about the APD Training Team's Mock Certification Program, you can find all of the training team's policy, including policy about the mock program in the Training Information of the wiki under the APD Dashboard found here.

If you have any further questions that neither this post, nor the wiki can answer, feel free to contact me at any point in time via a message on the forums or a message on discord, and I will respond to you as soon as I am able.

I'm eager, willing, and intending to do another Leadership Academy as soon as I have the time and manpower to manage and organize one. I currently have a lot going on with my real work, so my attention is a bit too divided at the moment. But once I'm back on track, I intend to not only host more Leadership Academies, but I am working on other Academies to host as well. I found we had great results from the last one, with many of the officers who attended getting successfully promoted to anything from Corporal to Lieutenant not long after. Academies are not easy to set up, per se, but rest assured more will happen as soon as we can.

I am personally, and have always been, against making it super easy to get promoted, as well as promoting super large amounts of people. Firstly, in my humble opinion, it is not very difficult to get corporal. But, beyond that, I also believe more in quality of officers at higher ranks being better than a high quantity of them. I'd rather have two or three good corporals I can trust and expect to do well versus ten corporals I've never heard of before. Lastly, corporal is a big jump in terms of what officers get access to. There are only so many whitelisted slots like undercover and medic, so I'd rather not flood these, since they already fill up during peak times as it is. Not to mention since corporals get access to the hunters now, I don't care to see every APD officer who's just been a cop for a few months start armor rushing every rook banging kid in a city that got a lucky kill on them.

If they have bad rapport with the rank they are suppose to assist if they got promoted, why would they be promoted? A corporal acts as a higher up in the absence of SGTs and LTs, so how can the SGTs trust them to perform well as a corporal if they already have bad rapport? I wouldn't vote for someone to be a SGT if their rapport with the LTs was not in good standing. I can't expect the SGTs to do any different when voting for corporal.

A new Self Elected Mayor has risen to both fame and infamy in Pyrgos. He goes by the name “Indigenous Man”. He, and his gang of criminals, parade through the town causing wrecks, terroristic acts and attacks on people of color, civil work, press, police, medical work and religion. Despite all of this, some claim he is saving the town from the unwanted and from tyranny and spreads distrust of police for a good cause. The police just recently responded to an active shooter incident at the Governor’s Manson in Pyrgos where the man and his accomplice tried repeatedly to run over police and citizens while firing at them in between.

Is this man a lunatic or is he here to protect the people.

Seems more appropriate to not just focus on illegal vehicles then, since legal quilins, hunters, etc. could easily fall under this as well. Mayhaps a vehicle disablement training would more suit our needs if vehicles escaping from pursuits is becoming a problem? It can always help to go over the vulnerable spots of vehicles with officers, as well as the tactics and equipment useful to the disablement of vehicles in pursuits.

As for the APD armor part, we could, in future, look into doing trainings focusing on armor v. armor combat and pursuit, though this can be a little more difficult to properly instruct on, seeing as Arma 3's handling of armor v. armor physics is, at times, sub par at best.
