On July 18 we will be conducting public testing of STRIFE between 3 PM and 7 PM EST. For those unaware, STRIFE is an Arma 3 game mode created by Paratus that was initially released in 2017 and later shut down. Its code has since been rewritten and the plan is to give it another go.
Currently the only map available is Malden, however adding support for Tanoa wouldn't take very long.
A test database will be used for these four hours of testing. This means that none of your Life progress is carried over, however normally your progress (primarily money) would be carried over.
    From the initial 2017 announcement:
STRIFE is an extension of Asylum's Life, bringing your Life character into the ranks of the military in a full-scale war. Conquer the island of Tanoa Malden for amazing rewards on Altis and put your Life cash to good use in bringing down the enemy.
STRIFE is based on a front-line capture and finally brings all of Arma's assets to the hands of the Asylum community.
The 2017 trailer can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1rk6hK2zio
The goal of the game mode is to capture every objective on the map. There are two teams, OPFOR and BLUFOR, and each team starts the war with an equal amount of objectives owned. These objectives are terminals placed across the map which must be hacked. When a hack is started, the owner of the objective must regain control of the objective by restoring it, otherwise the objective will be lost to the hacking team after 10 minutes.

that still makes zero sense. You shoot back at someone shooting you and you don't get the kill so you report as RDM. but if you were able to kill them then you wouldn't report for RDM? no. if someone tries to RDM you and they kill you. Just report it, you get comped, they get banned, everyone wins.

Mod apps are now open. If you're a Piece of Shit, don't bother applying. The rest of you are encouraged to apply. Please put time into your app and make it stand out. But don't just tell us what we want to hear, be real and honest.  Take you time and make it worth it.

    All,
I am excited to announce that @RoguePilot has accepted a new position as Community Manager. It's my belief that rogue will be a great asset to the community and the dedicated team of staff. As he becomes acquainted with his new position, please allow him some time.

As much as it should happen It would be pointless to ban guns in america because every retard screeching "ITS MAH 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS AND PROTECT MY FAMILY YEEE HAWWW" <---- (retard if you think/say this btw) owns 15 different guns. Its too late for gun control, would of been easier years ago. Guns are dumb, people that think more guns are the solution are even more dumb.

As for the knife v gun debate I strongly believe that to knife someone requires more of a psychopathic mentality to go up to someone and get up close and personal to stab/cut them whereas with a gun its no effort pop and gone.

TL;DR: 90% of americans are dumb and don't learn from their mistakes

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.
