I don't want to express my opinion on whether to erase; Because this is a North American server, the Chinese have no right to speak. Like China's arma3 server, asylum is dying. I just want to say, who can guarantee that Tom, UC and Olof will not continue to cheat? If they cheat in the future, will asylum continue to ban them? If they are permanently banned for the second time, and they take away their friends, their friends may be 10, 20, 30, will asylum forgive them for the second time? Cycle like this!!! In my opinion, asylum is bowing to cheating players. I don't want to say anything else. Goodbye. Let's look forward to arma4, better engine, lower delay and better shelter.

I wonder if the people wanting this save to stay got good houses or their friends did?  You're no better than the current house hoarders!

We will not be continuing on with this "Save" in any event.
If we choose to wipe in the future it will be a clean wipe with some needed changes from data gathered during the event
If you are concerned about a new player quiting over two days of data you should probably be more concerned about everyone else quiting over 7 years of lost data

Personally I have an overall indifference to a wipe but I do believe after seeing the test in action that it is likely not the answer, at least not a full wipe. Housing has always been a gripe and that seems to not be changing even with a wipe, as people will grind a day to get their houses/a sustainable position and the status quo will continue. Money seems to be the bigger issue more than real estate itself, so wiping that may be an easier and less contentious decision.
The main thing that seems to have been made clear from the wipe is the lack of content being added to the server. In no way am I trying to attack the devs as individuals or a group, but frankly there seems to be a lack of either ability or interest in producing new content for the server. These two facts are usually deflected by saying 'well the community/community council hasn't given us any new ideas, what are we supposed to do?', but being able to imagine a new gameplay concept/function and implement it is a key part of being a developer, just as Cuckratus/Jesse/slick have done in the past. It would be nice if we could produce ideas and they magically get scripted in, but creativity seems to need to come with the territory of being on a dev team. Any fun ideas that have made it through seem to be hindered by the aforementioned lack of ability.
My biggest concern is for the community as Reforger/Arma 4 slowly but surely loom closer. I am not sure if the current team of developers and managers personally have the ability to create a server from the ground up as Cuckratus/Jesse have in the past. It's pretty rare that a server owner is not the original creator/developer of the mod or mission file that it uses, which will be a unique issue for Asylum to overcome. I'd love to know what @Mitch (IFRIT)'s honest opinion is on this matter and what the plan may be for the community as we try to look ahead as opposed to dwell on what has been.
again, not in any way trying to be rude or attack anyone, just trying to keep it one hunnid with all my bruddas

Clips of GTA life end up viral on tiktok and I don't see a reason why that wouldn't happen for Altis Life.  Asylum in particular blew up when a wave of youtubers and streamers took interest in Altis life

This is an illusion.  The population you see at this time is a direct result from peeps trying to horde money fast to buy the choice houses... Soon as the " mad dash " for house is complete we will find ourselves back where we were.

The problem with wiping the server is that once everyone makes their money Asylum will be mostly the same, even with economy nerfs.  There isn't a whole lot of new players coming in behind the old ones who are going to grind money too and some of you will endlessly make their experience on Asylum terrible and they will go play something else lol

We should get rid of the money leaderboard on my-asylum so ppl don't hoard money just to stay on top.

As one of the long time players in this server, I personally think the server wipe does not make too much of difference. I mean sure, at first there will be lots of player and player interaction, but that will be only temporary because once people buy all of their valuable houses  (industrial sheds, 3cr house close to their objective money making locations), or when housing market gets tight, the main gaming interaction will go back to what it was before in few months time.
In my opinion, the main interaction in the game will only gets changed when cartels, Turfs, APD, Medic, and illegal zones becomes more balance.
Here's the explanation below if you like to read:
    1. I have known way too many people that they just make money with APD where they don't ever have to make money as a civilian.
    2. Some Turfs and cartels don't worth much to fight for or spend 15 to 20 minutes to capture
    3. When it comes to money making red zone, some red zones are more valuable than others depending on the reward and time that needs to be spent in them, and depending which gang or group of people that have their property near those locations, it makes it not practical for most people to interact in those zones
    4. Most consumable items (i.e MK1s, Vests, Vehicles)  they can easily be crafted without a Turf or cartel requirements, making it almost not worthy for many small gangs or civs to fight for
In summery, as I mentioned above cartels, Turfs, APD, Medic and money making illegal zones needs a overhaul in order crate more interactive experience for all people no matter how small or big their gangs are.
And Mitch, if you like to press the reset button and wipe the server, please make sure you give a fair warning both in server and forums couple of weeks in advance (at least 3 weeks) so that no matter if you are old or new player, every one will get a exact date and time to start over.

    Thank you,

Honestly, 5 hours in, sure there were a lot of people on. But... It was almost back to the same shit just semi lower tier guns/vehicles. Kavala everything was blowing up and the houses that were popular were mostly already owned by the same people (besides ones sniped just to spite certain people). Athira had the same dudes that always ran it. Nothing about this feels like it will change a single thing. It will increase server pop for a month or two, then feels like the people that did grind for all this time to give up.

What I am just struggling to understand is surely a few weeks after a wipe the server will just be back to the state it was in prior to the wipe, albeit with lower numbers? I cannot understand how the server could be wiped effectively without significant changes to the server, money in general and the like so that it's actually different. If domination continues to make money out of thin air and passive income continues to exist we are surely just doing the same thing again?
The only thing I do see a wipe fixing is the prime real estate hoarding problems that I know people in the meeting talked about alot, but is that not easily fixable by some of the hour requirement/inactive property tax suggestions being implemented or just refunding the people and taking the sheds being held by hoarders for 1+ year who barely play 1 hour a month on the server?
tl'dr: I don't think a wipe is gonna have any significant impact at all apart from lower playercount even more, unless it comes with significant update or set of updates that entices people to come back and start again. Also unbanning cheaters comes across as really desperate, but that's a whole other argument 🙃
